  1. David Raven scored for Warrington Town last Saturday, his first time on a scoresheet since a rather more memorable goal in Glasgow almost 5 years ago!
  2. The Supporters Trust, in conjunction with the Angel Wings Baby James Legacy, is delighted to announce that it is holding what promises to be an exciting evening event on Saturday 21st March in the P&J lounge at the Stadium. Tickets will cost £26.64 (£25 + booking fee) and are available from Eventbrite. This event is to celebrate the first 25 years of the club's history and to relive some of the fantastic memories those years have provided us with. To help us do that we will watch some video footage from the archive, have a little quiz, listen to a speaker from the club's proud past and have a Q&A session. We are calling it a "legends evening" not just because we will be reliving some of the great moments the legends of our club have provided over the years, but because some of the legends will sharing these memories with us in person. A 2 course buffet meal will be included in the cost of the ticket. Come and join us - it should be great fun! Further details to follow. Ticket numbers will be limited so book early on the link below to avoid disappointment. https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/25th-anniversary-legends-evening-tickets-89468106515 ** UPDATE. March 9th. ** The club has kindly agreed to have the Sports Bar open after the Dundee game whilst the P&J lounge is turned around after match day hospitality. Ticket price includes a 2 course buffet which will include a hot main course. The MC for the evening will be Paul Chalk who many of you will know from his "Alive 'N Kicking" show on North Highland Radio between 7-9 on a Friday evening. A number of ICT Legends will be joining us for this fun evening. This will include Mike Noble, Stuart Golabek and Ross Tokely.
  3. How the hell was that goal we scored ruled out. White never touched their goal keeper. Their keeper obviously realised he'd made a big mistake trying to punch the ball the went to ground holding his face like a sniper had taken him out. Surely we should ask the SFA to look into that as it's blatant cheating.
  4. ? You can still have the best viewpoint, but make the wrong decision....
  5. If he is the answer I don't want to know the question.
  6. Probably for the best, but let’s hope there’s targets to bring in..........no way is Brad Mackay the answer.
  7. Well there's old fashioned in terms of layout and the joy of being able to stand, and there's derelict and downright shabby! And my other club's ground Selhurst Park definitely sits under the 'Old fashioned' mantle and in parts is shabby, but Ayr takes it way down to a new level! I had to laugh as underneath some stairs was a piece of exercise equipment (1 piece), I wondered if I had strayed into the Gym!

Maybe we should put in a cheeky bid for Aguero. You never know he might fancy some Highland air. I reckon that would be a good partnership
  9. If it didn't sell Real Ale then it aint feckin Gringos.

The bottom line is that White is simply terrible in the air. The persistence in using the long ball tactic is ridiculous. White does appear more adept with the ball played into his feet. Neither is he made to be a lone striker and he really suffers for that.
  11. Aw one mans dump is nostalgic for others. I love the old fashioned grounds rather than the soulless modern ones.

I find myself (mostly) agreeing with an Alan Simpson post... White seemed to be getting a bit irked by some of the long balls played up to him on Saturday. He had a go at Ridgers and Tremarco for, I'm guessing, not really getting the ball in an area where he could actually win it. He's limited striker but he works hard and we really don't seem to play to his strengths. We ended Saturday with two capable wide players with good crossing ability in Doran and Walsh who could easily have put in a decent ball for White (or Toddy) to attack but instead we continued to ping high balls up to the giant Ayr defence to win. Strange. And of course all these high balls sailing up over the midfield take Keatings out of the game for long periods as well as he never gets near the ball and White struggles to win it in the air to lay it off to him (Keatings).
  13. No one was saying that we lost because of the ref just that he was rubbish and made some bizarre decisions.
  14. Funny that .... when we were in Oslo in 2017 I took this photo and never posted it ... thinking much the same thing !
  15. My second away game of the season up from London, with an overnight stay in Ayr (nice town) and the joy of the rail replacement minibus back to Paisley on the Sunday. I have to say that Ayr United's ground really is an utter dump, easily the worst I have been to up over the border, although the Bovril was good and I enjoyed the option to stand on the wee terrace below the seating second half. The crowd looked bigger than 1,602, and not just because the home fans switched ends at half time! The highlights suggest a close game, although I felt Ayr had more chances, but we hit the bar, and quite why our goal was disallowed is beyond me...White at no time is looking at the goalie only at the ball, and I'm not convinced he even touches him. Also Doran was clearly pushed over in the penalty area, and then next time he gets a booking for going down, when you can see he catches the defender legs and is trying to regain his feet. Their goal was a bit of a bummer, at first I thought that McHattie was at fault but credit to the Ayr player who actually closes Charlie Trafford down very quickly. I thought McHattie had a decent game, as did McKay...strange how quickly our CB pairing has changed (presumably to make ends meet). For me our midfielders were the pick of the bunch, plus Walsh when he came on. Our forwards were very much powder-puff, Doran was quieter than expected, Storey didn't offer much apart from two/three decent crosses, I'm not sure what Keatings was doing and White looks like he is the Centre Forward because he's tall, because he seemed unable to anticipate where high balls were going nor jump at the right time (except for the disallowed goal), he's definitely better with his feet! For me 2nd place is probably between us and Ayr, so this was a disappointing reverse, but I guess we can't win every match against them.
  16. We did put the ball in the net unfortunately the poor ref didnt allow it....so its maybe not as simple as you seem to think.
  17. We did take the chance and the ref got it wrong mate.
  18. Apparently Foran had the bullying approach as well must be something both boards have looked for in managers surely if McCart was getting bullied the likes of White and Traff were getting slaughtered be rude not 2! People are offended by anything these days tho so would take the rumours with a pinch of salt they're grown men no nursery school pupils
