Another great listen. Particularly interesting to hear them talk about the differences between former managers and a harsh but no doubt honest appraisal of Foran‘s time.
  2. I wouldn't be surprised if all high earning players out of contract in June have been told they won't have their contact renewed. Firstly, Carl has been a great servant to the club and I'm sorry he is leaving but people need to face up to the severity of the situation. The club will have to cut costs drastically just to survive. If it comes down to players or the club I know who I will back. Whilst harsh, especially on good club servants like Carl, it's simply the reality. No income on the horizon means dark days ahead. I don't know if this is the case with the out of contract players this summer in this instance, but some are offered contracts by the club and either feel they are not good enough offers or want to wait for better offers. Always a risk and looks rather risky at the moment as there wont be many clubs signing players compared to usual.
  3. If that was the club's decision to release Tremarco, then, in my view it was the wrong one for a number of reasons. Firstly, he had at least one and possibly two decent seasons left in him at Championship level. Secondly, at this time of great uncertainty on every level we should be trying to maintain some level of experience and continuity. Thirdly, and no less importantly, he has shown great loyalty to the club and, even in this time of crisis, deserved better in return.
  4. I seem to remember eyebrows being raised last year by some folk wondering why Motherwell were signing Polworth when they thought he wasn't good enough to be in our starting line up. Some players just need better players around them to show what they are capable of. Polworth would see the clever ball into space but far too often those around him just weren't on the same wavelength. This season he has been a major reason for Motherwell's good performance in the Premiership. I think White is also an intelligent player and his problem has been that he makes the runs into the space where the midfielders should be playing the ball but all too often, don't. I can see Polworth and White combining pretty well. Despite the frustrations and un-called for criticism from some of the fans, big Jordan always gave 100%. I'll be sorry to see him go but wish him the good fortune he deserves.
  5. Why was that shocking girl it's just a job to most players ! I mind Richie wallpapered my mates living room I came out with the immortal line ffs bud keen letting Ricardo do that couldn't even keep Caley up Richie near cracked a rib laughing
  6. Just a shame that we won't be able to give him a proper goodbye. Surely he could be offered a coaching role, and given a one game contract for the Cup Final, as one last hurrah. Man hasn't even been offered a testamonial, he's been here for just about 10 years now... Going to be honest, but I think the board are hellbent on kicking fan favourites out the club without asking the players (as far as I'm aware) if they'd be willing to take a lowered wage, or in Carly's case, a job with Barry Wilson and co, cos he's definitely hitting the age for hanging up the boots. There's nothing to indicate he rejected a contract, just, he won't be offered a new contract.
