Utterly pathetic. Go one up at home and just fold. Just bizarre, no resilience, grit or leadership on the pitch shown at all. Handed it to Hamilton on a plate after making our usual hard work of scoring.3 points

Poor first half with few chances. We started the second half much better, and Harper was instrumental to that as he was effective playing wide left. We deservedly took the lead when Harper finished a cross after good work from Mckay. Sutherland nearly got a second shortly after but the ‘keeper’s outstretched leg saved Hamilton. After then, we were shocking and couldn’t keep the ball. Hamilton pressed us hard and had us pinned back for an eternity with a series of corners that rattled us. They basically outmuscled us and once they equalised, I felt we were going to lose. Their striker was a handful, and we struggled to cope with their quick breaks, particularly down the left in the first half. That’s a game we shouldn’t have lost, but we could not manage it after going ahead so in many ways we got what we deserved. We need to be more consistent.3 points

Robbie Thomson scored for Clach today. With Omicron, I hope I’m wrong but I suspect we will need our youngsters back in the new year and some may get game time as well as making our squad. Elsewhere, Rory McAllister scored for Cove and Nathan Austin got two for Kelty. And a shout out for Gary Warren, who scored for Tiverton today.2 points

To be fair, our record of holding on to leads this season is pretty good. I've gone through the results of our games in all competitions (full time score for cup games) and in the 15 games we have scored 1st we have gone on to win. 11 times (73%) whilst on the 9 occasions our opponents have scored 1st, they have only gone on to win 4 times (44%). It is, however a worry that the only 2 times we have lost this season after scoring first are in the recent games against Dunfermline and Hamilton. Have opponents identified a weakness? If our defence to the inevitable pressure placed on us by teams trying to get something out of the game is simply to hoof the ball clear, then opponents can throw caution to the wind because they know they are going to win the ball back. When we are winning, we need to keep the ball. By all means look to exploit space at the back by looking to extend the lead, but if we don't create a clear cut chance, don't give possession away with a speculative shot - keep the ball. It looked to me today that the guys thought they had the game sown up as we became increasingly dominant. The manager needs to drill into the players that holding one to a single goal lead is hard work and requires everyone to work hard in finding some space to receive the ball and closing down opponents when they have the ball. It also means not giving away fouls when there is no immediate danger.2 points

I confess that the doubts I had about Billy Dodds when he was first appointed are raising their heads again.2 points
-
I have now come to the conclusion that Billy Dodds is incapable of changing tactics when things are not going well. We play the same way for 90 minutes, no change no matter what takes place and subs used far too late on in the game. Simple passes were needed to just keep the ball but we just keep punting it up the park to the opposition and it just keeps coming back, it was just a matter of time till they scored, very poor. We had a chance today to consolidate our place at the top of the league, and we blew it big time. The ref was woeful as well.2 points

An incredible collapse. We are badly lacking a leader on the park who has the ability to organise the team when we hit the front. Hamilton's tactics at corners scared the crap out of us and we just couldn't cope, gutted.2 points
-
I would describe that as a collapse. We had control of the game at 1-0. Sutherland nearly made it 2 but for the keepers heel. Did they think the game was over? Hamilton using rough house tactics at corners and bish bosh 2 goals in quick time. Had to pinch myself. Also we had time to make changes but not till desperate at end ??2 points

Both goals for Hamilton were coming today. I thought Allardice was superb in the first half and Harper was also a stand out. McLear should have been subbed for MacGregor at 50mins and a change of shape too. Shane was unlucky not to score after good running into the box, only for a good save by Hamiltons keeper. Billy was frustrated today but did well to set up the goal. Poor Carson was handed his dinner a few times and crosses were a weak point for us to defend. More cover needed from midfield. 4-2-3-1 next week please; Carson Broadfoot Devine Deas Allardice Harper Walsh Sutherland Macgregor Mackay1 point

Word has it that one of the scrawnier stewards was celebrating the Hamilton Goal(s?), and when confronted by the fans, pulled the "mon then, square go", and was backed up by the equally idiotic stewards. According to Louis, the stewards in question have been reported to Robbo and the Club, and will quite frankly have the book thrown at them and likely lose their jobs for such incompetancy.1 point

Absolutely useless management team performance again today, standing hands in pockets, hoping and praying for things to happen. No plan B when teams come at us . Its embarrassing really, how easily teams can pick us off when we are put under any pressure. Also a few question mark's over Ridgers perfomance. Had zero presence in the box and spent most of the afternoon, flapping at high balls, or bleating to the referee.1 point

It's how hard you work and how well you're coached that matters most. The main problem with Arbroath being up there is that nobody at ICT can use the 'Och, we're just a wee team wi a wee budget' getout.1 point

As things stand, if the league gets called due to Covid, it’s Arbroath going up! Some folk here were critical of us after our hard fought 1-0 win there at the start of the season, but Arbroath have only lost one other match this season.1 point

Doesn't say much for the standard of our league when it is topped by a part time side. Shocking result today, another game lost from a winning position.1 point

Another abysmal result against a poor Hamilton side. Unbelievable.1 point

I am sick fed up of watching the same thing and posting the same thing. The number of points we have squandered from winning positions this season is a disgrace for professional athletes and coaches and is increasingly likely to cost us promotion. I have watched good ICT teams over the years, sometimes very good, I have watched poor ICT teams sometimes extremely poor, are you listening Mr Foran ? However, I have never ever witnessed a team so inconsistent so that you never know what sort of performance you are going to get, not just from one match to the next but from one minute to the next. Get it sorted Billy and soon. I don't relish the prospect of spending next season in the same division as Cove Rangers!1 point

Lost a bad goal there.......and then lost the stream. Hop thats not all we lose1 point

At least they are under contract so if they get the chance of a bigger club, we will get a transfer fee. Having these guys, and the likes of Carson, on decent length contracts may turn out to be a great move by the Board.1 point

That's a hard one to take. First half was pretty lacklustre but we came out well in the 2nd half with Harper looking far more effective than Doran down the left. We looked increasingly threatening and then Harper was rewarded by getting on the end of a slick team move. We continued to play well for a few minutes and could have got a couple more. We were well on top and looked by far the better side. Then with 15 minutes to go we inexplicably completely fell apart. Whenever we got the ball we gave it away and Hamilton piled men into the box and bullied their way to victory. What should have been a comfortable victory turned into one of the most demoralising defeats I can remember. Looking on the bright side (or the less dark side), if we had played the whole match the way we played in the last 15 minutes we would have lost 10-0 and been 3rd in the table rather than 2nd. I hope that thought has cheered you all up as we move into Christmas week!0 points
