  1. Can't blame them, that's a helluva price for a Partick match.

  3. You are dead right 12th man. I'm sure somebody from Hearts would come up with some reason not to sell match day tickets but, at a time when Scottish football is desperate to get fans through its gates, this does seem like something of an unwanted complication. It's not as if you had to book in advance because grounds are going to be sold out. There also seems to be a strange irony that Hearts are scrapping a link in the ticket selling chain here in the form of match day cashpoints whereas ICT(POTH) have put in an extra one in the form of the pre-turnstile sales points. (That's not a judgmental statement and merely illustrates a contrast.)

  4. I've bought a ticket at Celtic Park before and also queued in with the Rangers fans for our league cup fixture ( wanted name and address and had to pay by card). Surely the odd one or two fans buying tickets at the ground would be ok. Not everyone can plan days in advance for football match.

  5. would be interesting to know who was donating all this stuff ... clearly it is someone who is (or was?) a fairly diehard supporter with all the programs and now this .... thats a shirt from the 2000 season (or thereabouts) so if it was a player sponsor then it may even have been used at Celtic Park that season as we were given "game worn" shirts in those days. (yes they were washed first) I have two shirts from back then - one framed and hanging on my wall - and they were used at both the Celtic game in 2000 and again the next year at the Hearts game when we had to use an alternate shirt as they thought our stripes would clash with Hearts maroon. The club quickly ironed on a sharp logo on top of the scotrail one and those were used .... [note to self: need to remember to ask the club for those certificates of authenticity !!!] ... my point being, it would take a lot for me to give away all the stuff I have built up over the years for ICT (and TFC for that matter) so the back story to where all this is coming from might be interesting ....

  7. I had a quick nosey at the ticket prices of the other Premiership teams to see what they were charging. I've attached the results here. There is a degree of variance in the prices due to differences between how some teams categorise a childs ticket (for example). Some consider a child to be U12 others go up to U16. Concessions are similar in that some clubs included students in this particular 'band' but others didn't (Hearts surprisingly didn't include any obvious information for student ticket prices or maybe I just missed it). I've looked at prices that would likely be charged for away fans based on my experiences of where we've been placed as ICT supporters. Where I wasn't sure there is a range of prices given (e.g. Motherwell adult prices range from £19 - £22). Some interesting points to note mindful of the above caveats - ICT have one of the highest admission prices in the league for adults (only Celtic charge more), our admission price for a concession is the highest in the league, tickets for kids are a wee bit better (cheaper than Ross County, more expensive than Partick and Killie). Shout out to Saint Johnstone who apparently let in U12s for free with a paying adult. Tickets.docx

  8. Thank you Nairn and Graeme McLeid FARID El Alagui’s hat trick at Station Park helped Inverness CT to ease past a hard-working Nairn County. The visitors took the lead with just two minutes on the clock. Stephen Rennie’s in-swinging corner from the right was met by the towering figure of Farid El Alagui and he sent a header crashing beyond Dylan Maclean and into the roof of the net. The game livened up again around the quarter-hour mark with Chris Moir’s square pass infield being picked off by Aidan Wilson before the Inverness midfielder drilled a low shot past the near post. Almost immediately at the other end, Chris Moir attempted to round Ryan Esson but could only lift the ball inside for Jamie Mackay. His attempted volley spun up into the air and Wayne Mackintosh ran on to it but the County skipper’s drive was beaten away by Esson at his near post. However, it was Inverness who struck again on 18 minutes. Jamie Mackay was short with his back pass from the right allowing Farid El Alagui to nip in and roll his second goal of the night under Dylan Maclean. A diving save from Ryan Esson kept the visitors two goals in front on the half-hour. The former Scotland goalkeeper threw himself to his left to tip away a Kerr header off a Mackay cross from the right just as the ball looked to be creeping inside the near post. Three minutes before the break, a neat interchange of passes put Aaron Doran in from the left but his curling effort was parried away by Dylan Maclean. Maclean was called into action again eight minutes into the second half as he clutched a Josh Meekings header off a Doran free kick. The busy Nairn stopper was beaten again in fortuitous circumstances on 58 minutes. A Doran cutback from the left was side-footed goalwards by El Alagui and just when it seemed as if Maclean was set to gather a simple shot at his near post, the ball deflected off the chest of substitute Jamie Wilson, as he found the net three minutes after taking to the field. Esson was called into action midway through the second half as the goalkeeper stood tall to keep out a Dylan Mackenzie drive from 12 yards after the Nairn sub had been played in by Mackintosh. The fourth goal arrived following the award of a dubious free kick on the standside touchline. Jack Maclean won the ball in a sliding challenge right in front of assistant referee Molly Alexander but the official flagged for a foul. From the delivery, Ali Sutherland knocked in his side’s fourth of the night. Nairn can feel hard done by with the award of a penalty which led to a fifth Inverness goal on 79 minutes. Willie Barron attempted to usher a bouncing ball back to Maclean but was shoved in the back by El Alagui. That caused the Nairn defender to stumble, with the dropping ball striking him in the arm. Referee Ben Dempster awarded a penalty despite the apparent foul and Farid El Alagui stepped up to coolly stroke home for his hat trick. But County grabbed a consolation goal three minutes from the end. A clumsy Jason Brown tackle on Jason Morganti just inside the Nairn penalty area led to a spot kick, which Wayne Mackintosh stepped up to blast home. Nairn County – D. Maclean, Keogh (Morganti 76), P. Macleod, Riddell (S. Mackenzie 51), Mackintosh, C. Maclean, Kerr (Macrae 46), Moir, Mackay (D. Mackenzie 63), J. Maclean, Glenn Main (Barron 51). Subs unused: R. Macleod (gk). Inverness CT – Esson, C. Brown (Gilchrist 55), Rennie, Meekings, J. Brown, A. Wilson (J. Wilson 55), Robertson (Stark 55), Macarthur, El Alagui, Sutherland (Smith 81), Doran. Subs unused: McRitchie, MacDonald, Hoban (gk). Referee – Ben Dempster. Written By: Graeme Macleod

  9. Calm down. We are two games into the league season and we have one apparently serious injury. Not a dream start but a very long way from being a nightmare.

  10. The Kessock Bridge repalced the ferry that connected North and South Kessock, hence the name. The dolphins swim underneath the bridge that stands over our stadium This is true, however there is only one Inverness Castle (and if i would of thought my design was actually going to be taken seriously i would of bothered to change the colour of the castle to pinky red and put a G4S van in front of it as well!)

    • Dunfermline 1-1 Inverness CT - Report
Out of our hands now: It ended in disappointment for the 319 visiting fans with news that Queens Park had hammered Arbroath 0-5. To rub salt into the wounds, Sheridan and Welsh were amongst the scorers. It's out of our hands now, but it's a must win next Friday and hope Queens Park falter.  Inverness play Morton and Queens play Airdrie. A draw might be enough, but it's a long shot.

I'm not convinced that Billy Mckay was the right man to be taking that penalty, his second failure from the spot in successive games against the Pars.

    • Dunfermline Ath -V- Inverness CT - Preview
Aaron Doran looks likely to have pulled on the Caley Jags strip for the last time after limping off against Raith Rovers last Friday. Sean McAllister returning was a bonus though but the mystery deepens as to why Roddy MacGregor, Austin Samuels and Nikola Ujdur are not featuring either on the injury list or the team list. Baffling to be honest as Roddy has the midfield attributes required, Austin has the speed and potential and Nikola in my opinion, if fit, would be my first choice on the team sheet. Are these guys on the way out? Add to that seven or eight loan players, then next season will see a massive restructure and rebuild at the Caledonian Stadium. I imagine the board members are squirming in their seats like Angela van den Bogerd at a Post Office inquiry.

    • Inverness CT 0-1 Raith Rovers - Report
Inverness threatened the Raith goal and but for Kevin Dabrowski and his bar they could have been dead and buried at the interval. No score at the break and all to play for in the second half. Vaughan opened the scoring early in the second half and Samuel almost levelled but his shot from distance cannoned away off the post. The crossbar was hit a further twice but the goal would not come. Despite peppering the Raith goal, MotM Dabrowski would not be beaten with a string of saves ranging from brilliant to miraculous.

    • Inverness CT -V- Raith Rovers - Preview
The great escape coninues on Friday night at the Caledonian Stadium as we host Raith Rovers in a game that will also be screened live on BBC Scotland with Raith trying to cling on to the coat tails of Dundee United and the Caley Jags looking to slither away from the play-off zone. What could possibly go wrong? Savage and Carragher will be joined in the squad by a welcome returnee in Sean McAllister who has returned fit from Everton after about six weeks out. That's a nice wee bonus for Big Dunc. However, he has the wrath from Arbroath after his "tools down" comment in his pre-match interview. As long as he has not got the wrath from Raith. Keep the faith!

    • Queens Park 0-1 Inverness CT - Report
Massive: Just under 1500 fans rattled around inside the national stadium for the proverbial six-pointer at the bottom of the table with Inverness looking to get out of the play-off place and Queens one point ahead at the start of the game. In a tense first half Cammy Harper scored a stunning free kick after Cillian Sheridan had handled 25 yards out. Boom! That's how it ended despite QP upping their game in the second period as Inverness kept them at bay.
