  1. Hearing Ross County have made a bid for our entire U18 team.

  2. I noticed this game was on earlier this afternoon but unfortunately too late to go along. There was a note posted on the ICT website yesterday saying that a win would secure the U18 Performance Tier League title for the lads. So, seeing as they won the game, they must have won the title so huge congratulations to the youngsters and to the coaching staff for what is undoubtedly a very impressive performance. It's just a shame I didn't know about this earlier or else I would have gone along. Let's hope the club is doing all it can to ensure those deemed good enough to get contracts with the first team squad are signed up on deals beyond a single year and with sell on clauses. Having achieved what they have, some of them will undoubtedly be subject of interest from bigger clubs than us.

  3. That wee McGregors a top prospect thought we'd see more of him punt him and the Brazilian in on Saturday see what they're made of nothing to loose freshen things up

  4. The stalwarts that I sit beside are mostly from outside Inverness (Invermoriston, Nethybridge, Ardersier, Tomatin, Gollanfield) plus a couple of Invernessians, myself included. While it's key that we engage with Inverness itself (businesses and individuals) it's clear that there's interest from further afield that would be folly to ignore. We just don't seem to have ever really become part of the fabric of the city. You could walk through the town on a match day and barely realise that there was a game happening. It is disappointing that we have not expanded our fan base more given the population boom that we've had since the late 90s.

  5. county having 900 season ticket holders in inverness cant help. there must be a reason why people are going to see county and not us. they have more season ticket holders than we have attendance most games, including away fans and as much as it pains me to say it Mcgregor is doing things the right way for the club as a whole and the community aspect they have is a lot better than ours has been in a long time. i understand he has a lot of money but it feels as though we just can't get the basics right, and that is an issue.

  6. Jesus folks, surely we all know that after one season ends then a new one begins and season tickets will be sold for that. It's been happening since the beginning of time. Why have people not budgeted for this accordingly. It's not rocket science. I know, let's just blame the club.

  7. U18s Matchday ?? ? Ross County U18s 14:00 kick-off ? Caledonian Stadium ?️ FREE entry Come along and support the young Caley Jags ?? Entry can be made via the North Concourse, where hot drinks will be available for sale. 2-0 @ Half Time to ICT Two quick goals just before the break, Morrison and MacGregor. Matheus the architect of everything good, smacked the crossbar in the build up to first goal and great run along line to help set up second. This boy is absolute quality. Well worth the lead at the break. Should have been a third just after the break, ball across face of goal just missed by forwards and Matheus shoots just over, corner for his effort. Second half goals from MacGregor and MotM Matheus Machado completed the scoring at 4-0. Matheus at it again with another superb chip. What a star.

  8. Tell u 1 thing we'll be in there shadow for years now can't keep loosing players for free like Vigurs Polly more or less Drapes and replacing them with traffic cones all be it he's got better and Triffids and expect to get results they've money we don't money talks in football and unless our u18s are like class of 92 and obvs if we don't win the play offs this season could be a rough nxt few seasons ! But make no mistake we'll be back as top dogs unless obvs we go in to liquidation in between times

  9. I think the club is caught between a rock and a hard place on this one. If we were to get promotion to the premier league, then this is a very good deal for those that can afford it. It also benefits the club by getting money in earlier. If we do get promotion, then season tickets will increase in price over this season anyway so it looks like the club is trying to minimise the loss of selling at Championship prices by increasing the number of season tickets bought early. That to me, seems a perfectly reasonable idea. As such I find some of the criticism of the board on this as a bit unjustified and some people appear to want their cake and eat it on this. Bottom line is that more people have to come and watch us each week which nobody has been able to fully solve, on a sustainable basis, in our 25 year existence.

  12. A good reason to put the tickets on sale earlier than normal. No reason at all not to extend the deadline by a week.

  13. If County want Donaldson they will get him. We need the cash so we won't exactly discourage him from going, like Draper, then we'll paint it as the player wanting to leave the club, like Draper. As we all know County have the money, even if they don't Uncle Roy will write it off for them ("the Ross County way"), so it's happening guys. Best start accepting it now. Chalmers is an odd one though. Not overly fussed if he does go even if it's to County. Given they have about 40 midfielders it seems a strange move.

  15. Ha! Frank Kelly speaking, I'm beginning to like A. Simpson. Reading, digesting and assimilating his prose is a challenge that keeps me young and there is no doubt that his heart is in the right place. Which all goes to prove that so long as your heart is in the right place there is a place for you at the Forum table at Caleythistleonline. As I have intoned in the past, always try to speak the positive and eschew the negative. Alan, that last word (eschew) has nothing to do with peanuts, it just means put it aside with a haughty sniff and forget it ever entered your mind. Whatever you do, please be very careful about taking elocution lessons because you will probably come on here with an accent like prince Charles and WE WILL NEED A REALLY GOOD INTERPRETER BECAUSE I DOUBT IF OLD CHARLIE HAS EVER been to a football ground in his life.

    • Inverness CT 0-1 Raith Rovers - Report
Inverness threatened the Raith goal and but for Kevin Dabrowski and his bar they could have been dead and buried at the interval. No score at the break and all to play for in the second half. Vaughan opened the scoring early in the second half and Samuel almost levelled but his shot from distance cannoned away off the post. The crossbar was hit a further twice but the goal would not come. Despite peppering the Raith goal, MotM Dabrowski would not be beaten with a string of saves ranging from brilliant to miraculous.

    • Inverness CT -V- Raith Rovers - Preview
The great escape coninues on Friday night at the Caledonian Stadium as we host Raith Rovers in a game that will also be screened live on BBC Scotland with Raith trying to cling on to the coat tails of Dundee United and the Caley Jags looking to slither away from the play-off zone. What could possibly go wrong? Savage and Carragher will be joined in the squad by a welcome returnee in Sean McAllister who has returned fit from Everton after about six weeks out. That's a nice wee bonus for Big Dunc. However, he has the wrath from Arbroath after his "tools down" comment in his pre-match interview. As long as he has not got the wrath from Raith. Keep the faith!

    • Queens Park 0-1 Inverness CT - Report
Massive: Just under 1500 fans rattled around inside the national stadium for the proverbial six-pointer at the bottom of the table with Inverness looking to get out of the play-off place and Queens one point ahead at the start of the game. In a tense first half Cammy Harper scored a stunning free kick after Cillian Sheridan had handled 25 yards out. Boom! That's how it ended despite QP upping their game in the second period as Inverness kept them at bay.

Hampden Calling: Carragher is now a doubt after feeling his hamstring. Other than that not much has changed apart from Remi Savage, who has not recovered after he got a boot in the face from Cammy Kerr. Apparently Kerr's boot is OK but Savage is suffering from minor concussion and will miss the next couple of games. Maybe that was Kerr ensuring he gets a game this weekend.

    • Inverness CT 2-1 Arbroath - Report
Smokies Kippered: On a blustery day more akin to AA Milne and Winnie the Pooh, Arbroath and Inverness battled it out to see who would get the final nails hammered into their coffins. Arbroath were in the last chance snug in the last chance saloon, whilst Inverness have one foot in the grave. I don't believe it! Arbroath tried everything, they even took their own wind with them. However, they had Murray, Bird and Slater on from the start but O'Brien missed out. Zak Delaney also started for the Red Lichties. A bright opening spell saw Alex Samuel denied twice inside five minutes. Once by a combination of Max Boruc and his crossbar, the second by Boruc on his own as Samuel got his shot away from inside the box. Wallace Duffy got the goal we deserved on the interval as he drove across the keeper from the right side of the box to put us in ahead at the break. Leighton McIntosh restored parity on the hour as he drilled home from eighteen yards, but Alex Samuel won the points with a late strike to all but relegate ten man Arbroath who had Ricky Little sent off.
