ICT Online since 1994
I was a member here well before I went to Uni in 2002, so I think it must've been around 2000/2001 when I joined. My favourite thing is the people I have met and the days and nights out I've had with them, as mentioned by The Gringo's the days out in Birmingham are a great example (do you guys remember the time in Leicester when Scotland beat Englnad in the 6 nations? Man was I hungover the next day!). My post on the thread regarding Caley Ally is a good example of some of the genuine friends I have made through this site and thier kindness / friendship. My first ever post resulted in an argument between IHE and me! We've got on well ever since! (I was even at his 60th birthday in Dumfries for the QOS game!! ) I met Roger (Govan Jaggie) via this site and we're now more likely to meet up for a Friday / Saturday night out than to go to an ICT game, again another example of a good friendship courtesy of CTO online! Credit to Scotty, Don, etc. - some of the cr@p they've had to put up with I certainly wouldn't have, they've obviously more patience than me! (you miserable bunch of moaning, ungrateful, whining, negative cnuts...) <---How to make more friends on CTO!

Fraser Feels the Pain
Fair play to him for cancelling his contract, he could've carried on taking money off 'Well for another 9 months but it's obvioulsy easier for him to be signed by someone else if he has no current contract. I doubt many other would've done the same.

Alison Coia aka Caley Ally
When I first moved down here to Glasgow for work around three and a half years ago I didn't really know anyone in Glasgow. I sent Alison an email to say Hi and that we should meet for a beer sometime, she invited me round for Sunday dinner, Iain picked me up in town and I had a great day, lovely food, lots of beer and was made very, very welcome. Like so many others I have great memories of seeing Alison and Iain at many games too. My thoughts are with Iain, Craig and Lesley.

Returning Players
Wyness was also at Raith to see us in a midweek cup game a few seasons back (when he was at Hearts I think), it was Challenge Cup or league Cup but we won.

praise from Mark McGhee
I seen McGhee get interviewed about footie and his career by Dougie Donolly at a SSC charity event and was very surprised at how intelligent he seemed. He also came across as very honest and humble and was also highly amusing. Still hope we pump his team every time we play them mind!

a question of sport
I could name 2 teams promoted from the english third division off the top of my head and if I thought about it probably from last season too. I don't know this because the BBC or 5 Live or anyone else have spoon fed me this information, I know it because I like football and take an interest in what is going on in the world of football. Those making a living from the game (like coleman) should have a better knowledge of the game not only in the UK but in europe than me. So I will respectfully have to disagree with you Mr. Blade!

We Will Lose Against Hamilton
Nice to see a lack of complancey and arrogance!...

ICT Away
That 4-0 game was a mare. Although Ayr last season was amazing. It's not all about the winning/scoreline though - consider th cup defeat by killie (Jimmy says aye to a killie pie!) - that was one of THE BEST away days I've ever had. OH F**KIN YES!!

Ryan Esson
I don't agree that Esson should be ahead of Alexander (yet). I think Alexander has done very well in every game he has played for Scotland. Although if Esson carries on the way he is going over the next few months I'll change my mind. Esson however is miles ahead of david bl00dy marshall, this bumbling cretin has let in 15 goals for Scotland in 5 games. He had one good game for septic against Barca about 6 years ago and people think he's good. I have nightmares about that clown playing for Scotland. Even Rab Douglas was better for Scotland than him and he let in 6 against the Dutch.

a question of sport
Don't agree Alex, they are on a sports quiz every week, they should know most of the basics. I could name who got promoted from the bottom 2 leagues in england. Not even getting the team name right is just ignorance. Besides they should at least know where Terry Butcher is managing - it's not like he's just been here a few months and they don't know who he is. Although while I think they are ingnorant fools (and in the case of dawson a jumped up wee arrogant toss-pot) their answer I find rather amusing rather than annoying.

Terry Butcher on Tele now
Couldn't agree more CaleyD, have talked with TB about ICT and it's clear he's passionate about the club and wants to be here.

Greatest Ever Goal versus England!
It's gone very quiet eh?!...

Butch being a bit too harsh?
Green is IMO the worst of the 3 keepers they have but to drop him now would send out all the wrong signals, besides I think he's pants so want him to play. Seaman, James, Robinson, Carson, Kirkland, Green... what is it about keepers pulling on the england shirt. It seems like the national equivalent of a Hibs shirt when it comes to keepers! From hence forward if you ever hear an english person take the p*sh out of a Scottish keeper I say it's only appropriate that they receive a good, swift, sharp kick in the spuds. What you saying now Jimmy Greaves you f**kin peasant?!

A thought on contracts...
Did you read the original post? Regarding the comments on Esson's deal, I don't think 30 is old for a Keeper but I take the point about older players perhaps being more injury prone.

A thought on contracts...
I am delighted that we have finally managed to get Ryan Esson to sign a new deal with us. However regrding the clubs stance on only offering 1 or 2 year deals, surely it would be (in my opinion) in our best interests to get players like Esson, Hayes and Rooney signed up on at least 3 year deals. I have no doubt Esson will excel with us over the next few season and we will find it very hard if not impossible to hold onto him and at least would stand to make a bit of money for him and others leaving. I do think the club are wise in not throwing about long term contracts willy-nilly to ensure that if we were to be relegated (pah!) that we are not stuck with players on SPL wages while we have a vastly reduced income however surely the large majority would not object to having a clause in their contracts that reduce their wages accordingly should the team be relegated. Whether the contract states a wage reduction or even a total revue of the contract, I'm sure (most of) the players would understand the clubs situation. May also help keep the club up if the players know their income would be vastly reduced if we were relegated. (Not that I think for a second that we will be relegated next season - cos we won't!) Anyway just my thoughts on the matter!

Signed/Off/Unknown
I have to agree. If we could get Jim Leighton to the club that would be phenomenal!

Tribute / Charity Walk
For what it is worth, I think that if a walk is to take place for this purpose it would be better to make it part of this season's Highland March. HM already generates a lot of interest and I think those outwith the club / support may view this as "just another ICT walk". You could always alter HM to start in Skye this season instead of at the away ground. Either way all valid suggestions.

ICT fan dies on Everest
He must've been a very happy man after realising such an amazing and outstanding ambition. I hope that may bring family and friends a little comfort. Sounds like quite a special man to have known. R.I.P

Dundee United chairman slagging us off
I can't agree with this. I have a good friend who is a massive arab. He knew Eddie Thomson fairly well and has a few nice stories and fond memories of him. He has not got any time for his son whatsoever and has told me some stories to explain his reasons. I've not read the article but as far as I am concerned Steven Thomson is a class A phallus.
