  1. I'm not arguing the legality of the sale, simply the ethos of it. Yes it was making a loss but the majority of football clubs in this country make a loss...... does that mean they should all be sold off? IMO if one social club was to be sold then both should and a new property purchased with the proceeds (which was talked about several years ago.....a whole new thread could be started to discuss the benefits of a city centre ICT social club location)! Should the Clach Club be shut down and sold off because it's making a loss? I'm not claiming that at all (that would be petty to say the least) it was merely an argument against your use of the term 'junior' ! Is this what they call 'chauvinism'? :004: :rotflmao: ...Then we're all chauvinists !!! :001:
  2. 'The View'......that's tempting me to go :021: :021: :021: Just wouldna want to be surrounded by wee dance neds tho !!! :020: :020: :020: Whats the line ups for each day anyone know?
  3. :tumble: The Thistle was chosen so as we'd always have plenty points !!!! :hairy03:
  4. Think it's their 3rd stand no? :003:
  5. Looks like a rangers flag ! :024:
  6. Still don't accept the term 'junior' :008: :008: :008: It implies a younger less important team !!!! Jags were older than caley and no way in the world could be described as less important. The assets.......Kingsmills sold for ?400k and add to this the subsequent, blatant asset stripping, sale of the social club at another ?150k. Total ?550k compared to the ?750k for Telford St. Equates to 58% and 42% !
  7. Takes me back to the late 80's early 90's and the days of the Thistle Soccer Trendies and the Caley Soccer Casuals. The police would frisk me on the way into Kingsmills just cos of what I was wearing !!! Whatever name you choose it should NOT include 'caley ultras'...................can you imagine:- Caley Ultras North Terrace Supporters !! :003: :003: :003: How about 'Vocal Inverness Caley Thistle Obsessive Representative Youths
  8. :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: Oh why did ya have to start this thread !! :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019: :019:
  9. I had a laugh before the game while queueing to get in........ A guy wearing a blue shirt goes up to a policeman and asks, in a broad glaswegian accent, "whaurs ra west stand by ra way?"................obviously a regular at ICT then methinks!!!!...........well the policeman must've thought so cos he gave him directions !!! :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :029: :029:
  10. Know what you mean........he constantly refers to ICT as 'caley'. Then when Richard Gordon asked him if there was still any Thistle/Caley divisions, he replied yes !!!! :029:
  11. Tina Turner !!!! :020: :020: :020:.........must be a rangers fan then eh!
  12. I've always felt that the stadium would be better sited at the retail park area. Close to the A9, A96 and rail line, and a Travel Inn nearby for away fans. Could be sited across the A9 from Inverness Medical (although this site is, i believe, unfortunately earmarked for the new college campus). A pedestrian bridge could link to beechwood business park, which houses a pub and travel inn, and a choice of more pubs down the road. Inverness will expand to the east and, also with new towns springing up at Tornagrain and Whiteness, the retail park will eventually become the geographical centre of Inverness. Personally I reckon the Bught location would cause traffic chaos on matchdays.
  13. Let's hope the panto's no on tomorrow afternoon is it?? :024:
  14. According to the 'Hub Of The Hill' booklet, Jags first registered colours were red and black. To my knowledge the first team 'home' strip has always been red and black, but the reserve, or second team, shirt has been various colours.
  15. Mr Rice do both. They normally use the larger ones your on about when you order chips and gravy/curry sauce, but if you ask for the larger ones when you order a normal portion of chips you'll get them. We phoned to complain about the chips and tbf they delivered another bag....however they were just the same !!! Next time we went to a different establishment and guess what.....the chips were just as bad !!! I've never tried Mr Rice CD............but I'd be very wary of any food that's been prepared in Telford Street !!! :015: :015: :015: :015: :015:
  16. Right now its when the words 'slut' and 'faggot' are censored in the only decent christmas song there is on tv ....'Fairytale of New YorK' !! :008: PCness gone mad !!!! :008: :008: :008:
  17. Chips from chinese takeaways !!! What's happened to them....they used to be in a big brown greasy paper bag and they were lovely soft oily chips. Now you get dried, shrivelled up pieces of potatos! :008:
  18. Seems it's gonna be John Collins !! (clicky)
  19. When I first started viewing this forum was somewhat peed off by the amount of caley references. Hence, being a Jags fan, decided to try and redress the balance and shout the jags corner ! Feel I've had some success......my first signature was 'Bring the black back, 'Bring the black back, Inverness Caledonian Thistle'........and hey presto we now got a black away shirt and black stripes in the home shirt !!! :021: But whatever happend to 'King of the Hill' ????
  20. TBH it seemed to change throughout. In the second half we had wee Davie Platt up front alongside Marius at times ! :003:
  21. Have to hand it to ya IHE......that just about sums up the day's game perfectly !! :notworthy02: Personally I thought Marius was sharn !! can't believe he missed a sitter for the hat-trick !! :tic01: :tic01: :tic01: :tic01:
  22. Best thread on here for a while. Well done Mike Fraser ! :clapping03: :clapping03: :clapping03: :clapping03:
  23. Huge difference from the Motherwell and St Mirren games was that we played with real confidence the day. Fraser SUPERB Niculae EXCELLENT Rankin PHENOMENAL (No way can we afford to lose him in January !!!) Black BRILLIANT Bayne MAGIC And credit is due to Brewster. We were starting to struggle in the second half so he decided to replace McBain with Bayne. Tactically astute substitution fer a change. Bayne caused havoc in the hibees defence. :021: :021: :clapping03:
  24. I pity the poor wee cu...... ehm 'Cunntas' ! :003:
  25. How apt a name for the Club chaplain. The wedding on the pitch and the Rev makes his appearance to the chants of....... "Hugh Watt......Hugh Watt......Hugh Watt, Hugh Watt, Hugh Watt"
