Why on earth would season ticket holders complain about reduced prices?? :017: I'm a season ticket holder and would like nothing more than a packed stadium, even if half the people in there have paid a nominal entrance fee. I assume the complaints were along the lines of 'we've paid enough, why should they get in for less?' If so, then those people are a bunch of fuckwits.

An exciting game, even if the standard wasn't up to much. Thought County were the better team to be honest, and unless Gretna make plenty of signings in the summer it's going to be one season only for them. The last 20 minutes were great. Gretna had 5 up front in the last 10, but it didn't look like they were going to do it. Fair play to them though. I'd gone along not really sure what result I wanted, but I've got to say, from an excitement level, it was fantastic being in the Gretna end when Grady scored. I can't imagine what it must've felt like for an actual Gretna fan! Oh, didn't think much of Cowie, hopefully that was a poor game for him. County's no.7 was their best player and scored a cracker of a first goal. And no way was there 6000 there!! And I agree, it brought back real memories of our day a few years back. And it was really nice to be back on the terracing too.

Don't get me wrong, this'd be a fantastic signing if we could pull it off, but I'm not so sure I agree with being so public about it. Are we not in danger of falling flat on our faces with this one? What's the difference in what Brewster was doing last summer, conducting his business through the press, and what we're doing now?

Ship him out 'til he's 24 then. And where's the proof that backs up that statement? Fact is...Rory is crap. Just because he's one of 'ours' doesn't mean people can't say what they want about him. If he played for anyone else we'd all be saying how gash he is. As someone said before, the U-20's must be really *****.

£10 for adults, and £1 for kids :022: With those prices I might just pop along, can't really afford to go to Tannadice anyway. Much rather County win, and possibly stay up, and St J pip Gretna on the last day. :001:

Some great stuff in the first half. Some of the one touch passing was excellent. And the wee flicks from Dargo and Rankin all seemed to come off. Second half, pretty gash, though the game was already won. I'm still trying to figure out Dargo's substitution. :017: I know he had a virus, but he was playing superbly, was on a hat-trick, looked full of running......then he gets replaced by McBain :017: :017: :017: Dargo, Rankin, and Hastings were all superb. Dargo just shading MOTM IMO. I know the decision to stay or not is ultimately his, and I fear he's already made up his mind, but I do hope the club have moved heaven and earth to keep him here. I don't give a toss for wage structures, when someone's that good we should be offering them every last penny we can afford. Marcus was a bit ****e, I've seen nothing yet from him to suggest he'll be a great signing. Hopefully he'll prove me wrong. And 3800????????????????????? No way :015: :015: :015:

Dargo has been one of our best ever signings. He's without question, one of the most talented players I've seen in an ICT shirt. And to his credit, he's said all along he wouldn't leave until he'd seen out his contract(even though clubs were after him back in Jan). He's kept his word. Yes, we did resurrect his career, but equally his 30 odd goals for us have done as much for us as the club has done for him. In short, he's been a pleasure to watch week in week out, and as much as I'm praying he stays, I'll wish him every success if he leaves. And I really do hope that if he does leave, it's to a club in England because I believe he has the talent necessary to make a success of it down there.

Spot on :025:

There isn't. It would've only been ironic if the OP had meant what he posted in the thread heading.

Other than his goal on Saturday, I'm not sure I noticed him at all during the rest of the game. He certainly wasn't noticable onthe weekend, but hopefully he'll be a key player in seasons to come.

Get Charlie a new PR spokesperson.

Total Respects to Darren Dods - but Goodbye.

A lot of our fans also appear to have no faith in Caff as well. How insulting is it to suggest that by playing him we're going to drop a few places in the league??? If that's the case then he best leave now, as, according to many of our fans we'll be up shitstreet with him in our defence next season. Caff/Munro should play every remaining game. Caff is as good as any of our other defenders, and it's only through bad luck, and defensive solidity, that he's been on the bench the last couple of seasons. Face it, Dods is away...Caff ain't, so Caff should play. There is absolutely no reason why we can't finish 7th without Dods in the team, and I for one look forward to seeing Caff back at the centre of our defence. -
3...praise when good, criticise when justified.

And equally there's some posters on here who can't take ANY criticism of CC, or the team whatsoever. And when someone does either they get accused of the usual 'talking pish' 'not proper supporters' *****. So my major gripe is against those do nothing but come on here complaining about people complaining. If CC wants to openly criticise the fans...fine. But don't get all surprised if those fans bite back. We pay his, and the players wages, and consequently have every right to say what we want. If the team play well, they, and CC get all the plaudits, and rightly so. I never see CC coming out and praising the fans in those circumstances. When we play crap, like Saturday, then what do we do? Gloss over it? Be content we won, even though we were dire? Nope, if we play crap then there's feck all wrong with saying so. And incidentally, I back the team 100%, and I back CC 100%, and I spend a bloody fortune in that backing.....so I'm certainly not going to shy away from saying he's made some major feck ups, or that the team is capable of playing like my local pub side at times.

I'm sure I remember reading someone write that Barry should be left out because he looked so tired after last week? :024: Good job CC doesn't take advice off anyone who obviously hasn't got a clue! I reckon anyone who has the slightest difference of opinion with CC, or who has the feckin cheek to complain about spending their well earned cash to watch ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ football should be banned from posting. Then we can all have one big love-in and rename the site the CC appreciation club maybe??

I'd start with the trusted 4-1-3-5-2 formation, and see if they notice..... Fraser Roscoe Dods Caff Hastings Duncan Black Rankin McBain Paataleinan Wilson Sutherland Morgan Hart Bayne McSwegan

Midway through the second half there was definitely some ironic cheering from the NS when we managed to string three passes together :023: I didn't hear any booing though. Oh aye, there was a lot of cheering when Rory got hooked too :023: :023: :023:

That was absolutely dire :007: Other than Barry's goal there was nothing to get out of your seat for. Blackie started off looking like he was determined to prove those of us thinking he'd 'learnt his lesson' wrong. He could've easily been booked for 3 or 4 different bad challenges in the first 20 minutes. I thought he was lucky not to get a red for his tackle on Wilkie, it was an awful challenge. But then for the last 20 minutes of the game he showed what a class player he can be, I thought he was excellent in that period. If he'd cut all the nonsense out he'd been a brilliant wee player. Fraser was excellent as well, Barry was ok, Dods good, Hastings and Tokely ok. Other than that, the rest were crap. Munro didn't deserve a red, no way. It was a cracking assault on Robson :015: Seeing as it was on the half way line there's no way Munro was the last player, and the tackle itself wasn't a straight red. Considering Kalvanes(??) had already been booked, and then blatantly pulled Wilson back, the ref was a bitinconsistent to say the least. And for anyone who STILL says give Rory time........he is one of the worst players I've ever seen in an ICT shirt. Absolutely crap, and what anyone sees in him is beyond me. He'd be lucky to get a game for Clach if he wasn't with us.

This is the pet subject of a good friend of mine. Her opinion is that it is child abuse, and the parents are solely responsible. To an extent I agree. If any of my kids were getting fat then I know I'd try and do something to combat that, get them out more, take them swimming more often etc. If it is child abuse then I'm not convinced that moving the child from the 'abuser's' enviroment is the answer. Like I said in the first post, it may relieve the problem in the short term but the child then faces returning to the same enviroment that caused the problem in the first place. People in these situations need to be educated more. I know that's easy to say, and many people don't want to listen, but as far as I can see it's the only pratical long term solution.
-
I doubt if anyone would be shouting for an anorexic child to be taken from their parents. It may well be the case that wee lard arse is suffering from an eating disorder with the opposite effect to anorexia and his mother was speaking the truth when she said that he becamer uncontrollable when refused his 4th clothes basketful of oven chips. The family and the child probably need some help, not threats. I know social services had tried, and it did seem like the kid himself was very matter-of-fact about it, but removing him isn't the answer IMO. I think the negatives far outweigh the advantages if he was taken from his home. The whole thing comes down to education. What would be the point in taking him from a familiar enviroment, treating him, then returning him back to the same enviroment that caused the problem in the first place?
-
What, no Rory?? :024: Agree nearly, but I'd swap Barry and Marcus around.
-
It's only because I've got a season ticket that I go to OF home games, if I didn't I'd give them a miss too. They're the games I least look forward to, for the same reasons you mention Gringo and I also get pissed off at the few thousand extra Caley 'fans' who only ever turn up for those games. Every time we play the OF I always see plenty of people I know, supporting ICT, who never attend any other games through the season. Ach well, back to normal next Saturday.

We've missed Dargo from the moment he went off injured. I'm not Baynes biggest fan, but fair play to him, he's been a much improved this season. No one can doubt he'll give 100% every game, just a shame he doesn't get a few more goals.
