  1. Charlie King for Livi, in the title decider where we decided to give them a 4-0 head start before we actually started to play, just to give them a chance. :tic01:

He didn't decide to move to a bigger club as he suggests, he couldn't get a game here and didn't have his contract renewed. Killy gave him a chance like we did when they released Dargo. He's obviously better at spinning the truth than he is at spinning past defenders. Shame it didn't work out for him at TCS, I thought he was going to go on to become one of our best players when he first arrived. He was just unlucky that we have so many good left sided midfielders.
  3. Perhaps Marcus Paatelinen is a spy? :024:
  4. I never really rated him, he was far too inconsistant. Zander Sutherland is already a far better player IMHO and will only improve when he finally gets a run in the first team.

When he starts he causes ripples, he should be in the dugout :clapping03:
  6. 100% correct! He completely sells himself and makes it easy. He should be reading the strikers run up to see where the balls going to go before he commits himself - rather than allowing the striker to read him and slot it in the other side.

His analysis of the game was nothing short of absurd and it got a deserved roasting from the radio pundits. Not since the days of Tom Hendrie's St Mirren have I heard such sour grapes. If (when more like) he gets sacked by Celtic he should re-train as a criminal defense lawyer.
  8. A completely deserved 3 points today, and if anything it could have been even better. Pressley should have walked, his last ditch, last man offence was even more clear cut than Proctors - a classic example of double standards :33: McGeady should also have walked for clearly kicking an ICT player off the ball in full view of the referee, the linesman and the fourth official :014: In the spell before Proctors red we were on top and looked the more likely to score. If we'd gone 4-2 up the floodgates would have opened. We were all over them at times. Even with the ten men we had great chances, Bazzas fluffed sitter was a real sickener. But it didn't matter! Proctor was definatly my MOTM today, brilliant defending, brilliant control of the ball and distribution under pressure and an awesome headed goal against defenders twice his size! And well done for 'taking one for the team' possibly even sacrificing his run at right back (if Tokely does well next week) to stop Celtic scoring after McGuires howler - top class! :clapping03: Niculae ran him close, his use of the ball was world class at times and really took the pressure off us. Every player got at least 8 out of 10 in my book apart from McGuire whose carelessness got Proctor sent off and almost cost us dearly a couple of times - although he made alot of good headed clearances when we were under the cosh and made an excellent goal saving block on the line after Fraser flapped a cross straight to a Celtic jersey. I think he probably has the potential to replace Dods if we iron out the rough edges in his game. How on earth did Celtic manage to beat Man Utd and AC Milan????? McManus and Scott Brown (world class???) were absolutly shocking!! All of the hype Broon's received seems to have got to him, his heads up his @rse. I loved it when Russel Duncan feigned that he was going to nail him, then started patting his face and grinning - he didn't like that one bit! What a game, what a result! Not since the Pele Paterson era have we audaciously plucked victory from the jaws of defeat like that - Keep it up and we'll be on course for our best season ever after our worst start ever - Brewster is the man!!!
  9. Agree with most of whats already been said but McBain certainly doesn't deserve 2 stars :32: he had a sound game. Hibs barely created anything down the right hand side in large part due to his tireless covering and pressing throughout the 90 minutes, and he combined pretty well with Hastings going forward on a few occasions. Rankin had his best game ever, he had a hat-trick of near misses. His shot from the centre circle only looked inches away from where I was sitting. 5 stars richly deserved. MF also had a 5 star performance. That's 3 clean sheets in a row, who would have predicted that a few weeks back?! He's had some performances this season where you'd be forgiven for thinking that he was 'out of his box' - today it was the Hibs no 1 (as usual) who was LITERALLY out of his box with the ball in his hands on at least 4 occasions. :024: We were so dominant towards the end it was like shooting practice, our fitness levels must have improved because at the start of the season we were hanging on for dear life in the closing stages. Our first game without Park was a stroll in the park. The participants in the Flybe half time challenge have scored more goals up here than Hibs. How can they be so good against the old firm and so bad against us? Who cares. :tic01:

He seemed to be singled out for some rough treatment by the Hibees today but didn't rise to it. The old Blackie would have gotten at least a booking today. It's been a while since he was mental, but for much of the ensuing period he wasn't playing very well, he'd lost the intensity that he had when he first burst onto the scene - a case of throwing out the baby with the bathwater perhaps? It looks like he's finally found the right balance.
  11. I can't believe this decision. I always thought Morgan was one of our sturdiest players. Big, strong, a good touch, hard to knock off the ball, good at carrying the ball under pressure, an excellent cross and shot. I'd pick him ahead of Rankin or McBain any day. He was the best player on the park when we gubbed Gretna at home - I wouldn't be suprised if they offer him a deal.
  12. Good spot Scotty, I'm still half shot.
  13. Some folks on here need to take into account the fact that MN isn't used to Scottish football and needs time to adapt and settle in. Patience is a virtue. Surely ICT fans have had enough examples over the years to have worked this out (Wyness, Robson, Dargo etc). If we binned every player who didn't hit the ground running just imagine where we'd be now! Knee jerk reactions and snap judgements over the short-term will get you nowhere. An intelligent manager works with a longer time-horizon in mind. Those who would like to see us get shot of MN and play the 'infinitely superior' Grame Bayne :rolleyes02: :rolleyes02: really need to wake up and smell the coffee. Your motto in life is probably 'it seemed like a good idea at the time'.
  14. The official 'family reasons' party line is all very Soviet. Don't forget his pivotal role during the Christie era, where standards declined in almost every way. He obviously can't be the super-coach he's made out to be because he couldn't even keep the players fit. And his sole game in charge, the shocking 3-0 going on 10-0 home defeat to Utd suggested that he's not exactly Mr Motivator, or a tactical wizz. Has anyone else ever wondered why Charlie is never in the dugout these days? He was involved during Brewsters first spell. Perhaps Parks departure will open the door to him taking on some more duties on the footballing side. Although even if he returns, I would still like to see a new assistant come in from outside.
  15. He has a good all round game but needs to get into goal scoring positions more often.
  16. We were fortunate that Midden were even more garbage than we were. They must have had about a dozen corners today - a half decent team would have thrashed us.

If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen. :33: ICT fans don't boo their own players on a whim. It's all about the attitude that players display. This is why average players like Keough or MacDonald earn 'cult hero' status, while 'talented' youngsters like Fraser or McAllister get lambasted. That's football.
  18. He put in a decent shift, won some tastey challenges, had some classy touches and first touch passes, but didn't look like a goal scoring threat. Once again the question is posed... is he really an out-and-out striker? Or would his skills be better employed in midfield - especially given his tendency to drift back there to pick up the ball anyway.

They should start selling chicken curry pies, you can get them in a few places in Inverness now. They'd be a top seller guaranteed.
  20. It was the Georgia game that blew it for us.
  21. Steve Paterson laid all the groundwork for us getting into the SPL. When he left we were top of the first division, playing fantasy football, and handing out some absolute drubbings. Robbo took us backwards in my opinion. We ended up finishing fourth after he took over, and only narrowly won the league ahead of Clyde the season after despite having a vastly superiour team and squad. Nobody in Scottish football had a better record in the transfer market than Pele. Barry Robson - free, Dennis Wyness - free, Barry Wilson - free, Roy McBain - free, Grant Munro - free, Paul Ritchie - free, Paul Sheerin - free, Mike Teasedale - ?5,000, Ross Tokely - nominal fee, Bobby Mann - ?30,000.... Basically the entire squad that took us to the SPL were either rejects signed from the fringes, or bargain basement jobs. Never before or since has an ICT manager done so much with so little.
  22. Just watched the highlights on the BBC website and it appears we were indeed VERY hard done by. Baynes two bookings weren't even fouls. The second one rather than 'lunging through' the player as the press suggsted he's actually gone in for a blocking challenge (around the side) but just listen to the Motherwell player scream AAAARRRRGGGHHH!!!! as he dives, absolutly pathetic. Their second goal was a stonewall offside. It doesn't get anymore clear cut. Tokelys 'violent lunge' into McGarry also looks pretty soft. There is contact, but he certainly doesn't punch him, shades of Dida for me.
  23. Pele once made Tokely go and wait on the team bus after he was sent off against Ayr Utd :024:
  24. When Brewster took over we were bottom of the league and had ZERO points. Charlie Christie is responsible for how mince we are this season. While there are still woeful fluctuations in our perfomance levels - at least we've started to hit some peaks as well as troughs. Under Christie we were on a downward spiral. Now we're on a rollercoaster. Thats a step forward. I wish the Brew knockers would apply some perspective to matters.
