For a split second I thought the title had something to do with the Cartel...this is a relief.
-
Countys loss. Munro may not be the defender he once was but he is still better than McLean and Boyd (both absolute cack).
-
David Unsworth was a prolific penalty taker (Everton, Portsmouth, Wigan, etc). I dont know how many he took but I believe he only missed one penalty in his career.
-
He will be missed. His work rate is top notch and his back tracking was certainly missed last week. For the time being id put Nick in the middle just off Billy and give Greenhalgh some more game time, maybe rotate Watkins and Williams as well.
-
I think his 2nd spell here all but killed his management career. Should never have come back and should never have left for Dundee United in the first place. Dosent have the personality to make a good manager but there is no questioning his coaching abilities and his regime for fitness. He will probably do well as a coach.
-
Havent scored a goal at McDiarmid Park since 2011 and have only taken 2 points from our last 5 visits there in scoreless draws. Safe to say its not a happy hunting ground us. I didnt expect us to win today but I also didnt expect hammering. Its disappointing but we know we are capable of better. All about how we react now.

Treble will be won!!!

Brown is a thug. Always has been, always will be. Some may argue that you need that type of player in your team and I suppose there is some truth in that but will never change which means that despite having good aspects to his game he will always let himself and his team down with that petulant side to his game. Last night was a prime example. He makes very little contact with Neymar (who rolls around like hes been invaded by an Ant farm) but its still contact and its blatantly obvious he aims the kick at Neymar which he dosent have to do, he gives the ref a reason to send him off. If I were Lennon id be fuming as Celtic had a major foothold in the game and to lose not just any player but your captain to something so ridiculous and in such an important game is a measure of Scott Brown. But when it comes to Celtic or indeed Rangers (RIP 1872-2012) for that matter its never an internal problem. Always someone elses fault. I hope he sees sense to not appeal. It would be a waste of time.

Greenhalgh and Doran really stretched Hibs on Saturday and Greenhalgh gives us that extra bit of pace too. Also think we get more out of Ross through the middle.

Scored 3 but yet again should have scored about 9. Was eager to see what sort of a response we would get from the Aberdeen game and the boys stepped up when it mattered. Lots of Hibs keepers seem to gift ICT players goals. Malkowksi, Ma Kalamby, Andy McNeil and Simon Brown have all done at TCS in previous encounters and Ben Williams has just added himself to that list. Was nice to see Foran get another goal, seems to get himself into good areas despite his deep role in midfield. Billy scored his 2, the 2nd an absolute peach. Could have had a hat trick yet again today. Was a pity to see Vincent get injured. Thought Terry would go like for like with Polworth but Greenhalgh did not disappoint. Very promising signs in what I saw today. Quick, skillful and chases everything down, that header he made for Foran's goal seemed a complete lost cause and awkward to execute. Fair play to him. Hope Vincent's injury is not too serious but Greenhalgh has certainly staked his claim for a place in the side. Good crowd today and another atmosphere that Im sure left a great impression on the players and indeed big Terry. Happy to see us get back to winning ways and occupy top spot (hope the Celts enjoyed their hour spent above us ).

When do these games get played?

Brill Raven, Meekings, Warren, Shinnie Draper, Foran Doran, Ross, Williams McKay Subs: Esson, Devine, Tremarco, Polworth, Vincent, Watkins, Agdestein

I think inexperience was a key factor in the semi final last season. The boys can only come back stronger from that. With Celtic gone it blows the whole competition wide open. If we were to get to the semis again I think we will be much better prepared. We should fear no one left in the competition but we should still be cautious. You just never know in the cup.

It was a pretty poor game from both sides but I must concede that Aberdeen probably just about deserved the points based on the chances they created. Its disappointing but we have probably been due a bit of a reality check. Tuesday night and the Hibees game will be a big test to see if we are capable of bouncing back. Must admit the long ball was not much appreciated...mainly cause it didnt work. The game was crying out to be stretched from our point of view but Agdestein was not the man to bring on for it. Williams or Greenhalgh would have probably been better suited to come on and have a go. I feel for Billy, he got no service at all from other attacking players and was left to fend for himself. He did get a few chances but nothing more than half chances. Aberdeen could see the game needed freshening up and brought on Magennis and Vernon, both made an impact with the latter grabbing a cracking goal. I must admit my first thought on Warren's header was that it was in, i was ready to celebrate. Im yet to see it on TV but it would be really disappointing if it did turn out to have crossed the line. It typified Thomson and his officials performances if thats the case. Thought they were extremely poor. Didnt allow the game to flow, werent consistent with bookings when it came to severity of fouls and didnt let advantage go on certain occasions, I'm not saying he is the reason we lost. I would imagine both sides were left frustrated with his performance as ref, does worry me a tad that he is one of the most highly rated officials in this country though. As Terry said we will have to lick our wounds and move on, we were bound to lose sooner or later but now its a case of bouncing back and building on what was a terrific start to the season.

How can you put Tansey here he was really good just the fact he didn't stay long He never stood out in games, his audacious passes never paid off, he never scored enough (which he thought he would) and he left at the drop of a hat and surprise surprise has become a hit down south..for me his heart was never in it up here but he wasnt a bad player, just didnt give a rats .
-
Tad harsh on Coxy. Thought he was a good player up until he got injured. Bayne didnt score many goals but his workrate was second to none, i would have him nowhere a mediocre team. for me... Tuffey McCann, Williams, Hogg, Hastings Tansey, Kerr, Duff, Morgan Niculae, Alex MacDonald

We didnt have Snodgrass on trial but we were looking to sign him and James McPake from Livingston...in the end the idea was shelved so we could sign...wait for it Barrowman.
-
Was Patrick Kisnorbo not on trial with us once? Went on to play for Hearts and Leicester amongst others, not a bad player but cant remember if he was on trial at us for sure.
-
I can see him being at TCS beyond this season if he keeps doing what hes doing. Id only ever seen him play once before (he was amazing that day) and its safe to say he has shown he has what it takes to play at this level. If we get a longer deal sorted for him then i think it would be an excellent piece of business.

I shall be in attendance.

Most of their new boys look pretty hit and miss and Munro was looking old for the first time yesterday, got absolutely schooled by Gauld for Armstrongs goal. Luckassen looked like a real poor mans Tade up top, never looked like scoring. Hope he gets fined for pying the media. He is such a petty squabbler.
-
Should jolly well think so. Been a terrific month for the club.
-
Was worried the National break would kill the momentum but it was not the case, Killie seems to be a bit of happy hunting ground for us and we took advantage of their poor home form. Crackin result and we are yet to be moved at the top...Chase is welcomed . Well done to Terry and the Boys.
