  1. It was an incredible game of football, even at 6-2 Motherwell continued to play well going forward and were worthy of their point, Forbes should never have taken that penalty, never looked confident for it. Jutkiewicz goal was one of the best technique based finishes i've ever seen, he won't be at Motherwell next season. Sky says that Well also lost 6-5 to Aberdeen in 1999 and 5-4 to Dundee Utd in 2005 at Fir Park, some very high scoring games there.
  2. Gotta a nice set of guitar effects pedals for christmas along with a new guitar. Might spend my Saturday's messing around with them!
  3. I will settle for anywhere above 11th as long as we get an old firm result somewhere and pump Aberdeen at TCS at some point in the season.
  4. So glad that he is tied down for 2 years. Can only think he will get better as his time with us continues, glad that Butcher kept Sanchez as well. I know he wasn't playing regularly but i still think he is one of our better players in an attacking sense. Just leaves Esson, Tokely, probably Proctor and McBain and Golie as well.

Really? It wasn't that bad. Oh yes it was. LDZ has only ever had one good game at left back for us and that was his game at Ibrox. I'm sorry but I didn't think he was that bad in the last game of last season; no worse than anyone else! I have always felt that LDZ has been over-criticised and have received plenty flack for doing so! He needs a decent run of games and experimentation in a variety of positions to determine where he is best suited! And his best suited position is probably the bench or up in the stand. Lionel is unfortunately one of those players who if he plays well has a stormer of a game, however if he starts the game poorly he very often fails to recover or makes a mistske, i.e the red card against Falkirk. However more often than not its been the latter eventually. I agree that he takes alot of unnecessary flack sometimes but he brings alot of it on himself for overdoing things or not doing the simple thing which i think is his main problem, he presents too many moments to get beaten by an attacker. Going forward he is a joy to watch, with Lionel i've learnt to expect the unexpected. Fact is our key element next season will be a solid back line as well as scoring goals and with Lionel at the back that will not be the case.
  6. Just read that P&J article above and thats Rosscoe adament he wants to be here next year which is great. Hope the rest of the boys feel the same and get their new deals sorted soon.
  7. I agree, Soutar wouldn't be a bad cover keeper, Maros Klimpl is also a decent player.
  8. Brian Kerr and Richie Hart... :P
  9. I would say he could be worth one as a squad player as well though i have seen him play much better than his performance on Saturday. As said he has improved as the season has gone and chimped in with about 5 or 6 goals which is a superb tally for a defender. The only setback is that i think he is still on loan from Tranzitis so any move would require a fee and it is a case of whether TB is willing to pay it.
  10. Well done Adam. Hat trick of awards for himself as well as winning the league. Club legend status!
  11. Invest in some of Scotlands fine talent i.e Griffiths, James McCarthur, Scott Arfield while staying loyal to my current crop of players and slowly build up the best team in the country...and buy Victoria Park to have it demolished.
  12. Butcher said that he wanted all out of contract players futures sorted out by the end of next week so we will no what Rosscoe and everyone else have planned very soon, whatever the rumours say.

Eagle, Duff, Stratford, Djebi-Zadi, Bulvitis, mayb'e Rosscoe.
  14. I gotta a hug from Terry and a great view of the trophy presentation....and no one can take that away from me.
  15. Great day. Match was nothing special but a win over Dundee is a win over Dundee. 21 games unbeaten is purely phenominal and well done to the lads for pulling of such a terrific season from November onwards. The trophy presentation was very well constructed and coreographed and well done to those that were part of it. Only thing that worried me was that Rosscoe was celebrating so much with fans that it almost looked as though he was bidding us farewell. :( And the Doncaster scout can forget about signing anyone, Hayes was distinctly average today and Rooney will never finish like that again.
  16. No thanks. 16 or 18 team is a positive change, 14 teams is a half hearted quick fix. If it was to happen there are plenty of teams that could stick it in the SPL from 1st Division. It would be very intresting to see how the lower leagues get restructered in amongst as they cannot be forgotten. Sticking the old firm reserves and some other teams 2nd string in the leagues could see some good young players get a decent standard of football i suppose. Change is needed though, and a 14 team league is a rather poxy approach towards it.
  17. After a run of games he was very much back to his old self, reliable and always gives 100%. I will admit i also saw him coming back as a negative move but how he has proved wrong. Hope he is given another year.
  18. He hasnt trained all week i think so he will definitely be out if thats the case. No sense in risking him.
  19. Need to get this sorted asap.
  20. On the day that i get my car taxed and insured for the first time haha. Won't forget this. :D
  21. Should Hayes follow him and sign a new deal they both instantly fire themselves to hero status in my book.
  22. Good stuff and good to see the Board taking care of the long term future.
  23. Kazim-Richards is a good player but i've heard he is a real disruptive influence wherever he goes.
  24. Gary Dempsey was an excellent player for Dunfermline and not bad for Aberdeen either. He went of to England but like Esson didn't work out. Could rejuvanate his career up here. I can see Pavels leaving Dundee Utd as well as his contract is also up at the end of the season.
  25. Nonsense , McGhee won the league with Reading , took Wolves to the play-offs and an F.A. cup semi final , won the league with Milwall and took them to the play-offs the next season , he also won promotion with Brighton . Not a bad record and 1 our own Terry Butcher would be envious of . Your judging MacGhee on his short spell at Aberdeen . He was also sacked by Wolves, relegated with Brighton, and is frowned upon at Reading for ditching them for Wolves. Plus this was about Scottish clubs, he was a good manager at Motherwell but at Aberdeen (granted with very little help by his board) has inherited a decent squad but managed to put them on a downward spiral. Jimmy Calderwood left due to his struggle to get Aberdeen into Europe, they were close to getting dragged into a relegation fight this season. He may'be isn't the worst manager in Scotland but he certainly isn't one of the better ones.
