  1. Another one of TB's random finds. Hope he looks the buisness but i do also hope we get Bulvitis sorted out as i would hate to lose him at this stage of the season. Wonder if Johnny Hayes knows him at all. He is a product of Reading's youth system as well.
  2. Esson Tokely, Munro, Bulvits, Djebi-Zadi Hayes, Cox, Duncan, Imrie Foran, Rooney Subs: Allison, Proctor, Stratford, Sanchez, Odhiambo
  3. Hope we get something sorted. He is only now starting to look more solid with Munro. Sounds like his parent club are being very stubborn.

    Imrie

Imrie says he wants too stay at the club when his contract expires. He dosen't expect to be offered a new deal this month though.
  5. A more than ample replacement. Like Johnboy says, experienced pro so he should be capable of playing well in a variety of areas. Only thing that concerned me was he always looked to move the ball onto his right foot.
  6. Looked like the ICT of old tonight. Good attacking footy and a solid backline that was rarely troubled. Hayes had played well building up to his injury but Douglas was certainly more than up for this game and had been taking some stick from Section G leading up to him coming on. But he silenced them with a cracking goal. Though he fell down like a shot elephant before hand and was faining injury. Could have easily had 3 or 4. Everyone put in a good shift tonight, though Sanchez was far too heavy on his touch at times and denied himself a good opportunity by over hitting it. Referee had a few dodgy calls tonight. We should have had a penalty in the 1st half when Foran was wrestled to the ground while going up for a header and Hateley should have been sent off for a cynical challenge on Dougie...but i'am so pleased to see us get such a great result. Hope it brings out some good league form now. Roll on Killie.
  7. Thank goodness. Lets get some cup upsets on the go now...

I wouldn't disagree with you Ren.

Gotta agree with Johnboy. We will be skint next season and i'm guessing Robbo and Bazza will be willing to work on a much reduced salary than the current managerial set up. I know Robbo has been out of work and how inexperienced Bazza is as a coach. The fact is they both have one thing in their CV's that makes them ideal and that is gaining promotion to the premier league...and it just so happens that they did it with this club.

I could not agree more. As a fan i do worry where we will be next season as well as which players we will have. I do wonder if all the uncertainty has affected some of the players at all. I also have a feeling that Robbo and Bazza will be our next managerial team. If this was our new management team, would you be happy because i cannot tell if you would be happy or not because i know i would be DELIGHTED if it was but i am not sure if it will happen though? I certainly wouldn't object to it. In the two of them we have 2 guys who love the club, love the city and know the lower leagues and im sure would relish the challenge of getting us back to the promised land. Don't get me wrong i think TB is a good guy and has done the best he can but i really don't see him staying on after the season. I agree with you on the bit i put in bold but to be honest do you think our board will employ Robbo or even consider him and wouldn't Robbo want Shearer (not sure if he was Robbo's assistant) as his right hand man? Financial limitations may make it a comprimise to go for him. And no i think Barry will be his number 2. Just a hunch.

  14. dunno if eagle and stratford went then i doubt that mcbain would go as we do still need some cover in midfield Sorry i should have mentioned. I don't want McBain to go. But i think he will. I don't rate Eagle and Stratford at all, and believe they should go.
  15. :( ...i think this would be Niculaes reaction to that.
  16. Was it not when they had just been relegated? I remember reading that Juanjo was one of his first signings and that he was eventually voted the worst player to play for Bradford by a fan poll. Ironic.
  17. Very harsh. They admitted to making the mistake, guessing it isn't the last of it either.
  18. Which player has scored in an Old Firm, Merseyside and Manchester Derby?

    Transfers?

Gary Caldwell joined Wigan according to hi agent. Liverpool have apparently signed Marouane Chamakh from Bordeaux and are about to sign Maxi Rodriguez from Atletico Madrid.

Its for a coaching role perhaps? I can't see any other reason for them to be intrested in him.

    Duff Gone

You better hope not ! Tbh i don't really know what to hope for. If he stays, fine. He ain't that bad but if he goes it gives us a chance to get someone new but given how inconsistent Butcher can be with his finds i wouldn't complain if Duff were to stay.

According to the courier he may still come back.

He played well enough but he obviously isn't keen on playing here. He can feel free to rot in Aberdeen's reserves for the rest of the season.
  25. Did superbly well with virtually no money ever to spend. Got them in the top 6 more than once. Helped develope the likes of Steven Naismith and Kris Boyd, salvaged careers such as Kevin Kyle and Mehdi Taouil. With the years of service and loyalty he has given them he is a man that can leave with his head held high.
