He comes across as being a right character. Good interview.
  2. I miss Hastings. He should have gone back into the team after Lionel was sent off against F**kirk in the cup. The one game he played in the summer , against Montrose, he did well. I'm dissapointed that we let him go, especially for nowt. Golly isn't bad but he will never sustain the pace as well as he did.
  3. Just keep it the same. Bring on Hayes, Cox and Odhiambo on throughout the 2nd half though.
  4. Yet another top class performance, 9 goals in 2 games, 2 hat tricks in 2 games and 4 games unbeaten, it all makes good reading. Every player did there undoubted best and it was pleasing to see how little the Morton goal affected them. Came right out of the traps in the 2nd half and Rooney took every goal well, though i didn't see the 1st(due to a bathroom break.) Hayes and Cox came on and made their own good contributions to the game, while Barrowman missed a sitter. Bring on County.

Right Midfield i think Ross is our best player to use. Centre mifield? No idea I would agree about Ross but somone more experienced i think would improve the width in midfield especially on the right. We need someone who can pick a pass in the middle. Proctor aint a centre mid and Duncan can't pick a pass to save his life, although his breaking up of opposition attacks is appreciated. Could mayb'e look at some loans from SPL clubs.
  6. Can't say i'm dissapointed. In fact kinda pleased.
  7. Buchanan and Lovell up top. I see a menace in the reckoning for our backline.
  8. His pace is much needed and his touch i don't think is that bad at all. Provided he stays fit i think he will be a key player.

If i recall he scored a hat-trick for Stoke in his first start for them. He was our top scorer last season, despite barely starting and despite struggling in the one on ones he has had this season he is the only player who has found himself in those areas. His severe lack of pace is a cause for concern imo but if he is given a run of games and some good service from the likes of Sanchez, Imrie, Foran and wee Odi he will get us goals.
  10. Been on the cards for a fair while now but it is dissapointing.
  11. Sanchez is an attacking midfielder, not a striker. And it benefited yesterday as he set 3 goals and was unlucky not to get one himself. Rooney is a poacher and good finisher but is too slow to chase the ball when it gets punted up to him, however he is better than Barrowman so i would play him. Foran plays well on the wing as he isn't afraid to take his man on but when he is in position he is our best finisher imo but for the benefit of his work on the wing i would stick him there.

I meant to do a diamond formation with Sanchez just behind Foran and Rooney up front but couldn't be bothered.

  14. I had a funny feeling we would get a thumping win today. Well done to big Tel for sticking 3 up front as it seemed to pay off. I reiterate what everyone else has said in which i hope we can carry this performance up here next week against Morton.
  15. When did we last score 5 in the league???
  16. I would go back to 2000 and relive all the way up to the end of 2007-08 season. One game i would relive would be beating Celtic 3-2. The team we had that day was brilliant and then Brew went and started to disect it by getting rid of the likes of Rankin and soon after plenty more followed which very much ripped the soul and backbone out of this team.

Apart from one tackle he did very little to convince me he is worthy of a place in the squad. He just seems too slow for the scottish game.
  18. The problem i think is that this club has always had a little spark about it. We were special and we were noticed for punching above our weight on big occasions. Unfortunately after a calamity of arguments, bad feeling and dismal pitch displays the club has suffered its first real failure in the footballing world...relegation. We lost our spark and with that alot of people lost their enthusiasm and perhaps some lost their passion as well. There is still alot of hurt and bad vibe from the fallouts i think and i don't know if i'm alone here but you can even feel it sometimes within the ground on Saturdays i think.

Charlie Christie was after him when Dargo left but i think Hibs and teams down south were in for him at the time so it was a no brainer. I remember when the poor guy was refused his new work permit. I think he has shown the comittee they were wrong.

Is Eric fit for this one? Couldbe interesting if he is, would defo have him on the bench. He played an hour of that bounce game so he may well feature next week.

  22. I wish i could take the not losing positive from the game but unfortunately i'am struggling. Some of the football on display today was absolute drivvel at times and yet again the away side were stronger. Apart from Foran, Cox and sometimes Hayes we really didn't offer much and Imrie struggled to really get into the game. Good goal from Proc and wonderful save from Fleming to deny him at the end. Tel, why the **** did you take of Foran?? Our best attacking threat and you take him off for Rooney who yet again missed a one on one. Can't wait for Russeldinho to return as Stratford contributed very little today and hope the injury to Hayes isn't serious.

He signed a 2 year contract didn't he??

Black said himself he was probably Marius best friend over here so there couldn't have been that many problems in terms of dressing room unrest. Given what last season was like we probably could have used him for another year.
