  1. Hey shuffle, did you miss tin can's sarcasm :029:
  2. Kencar, re singing section..... The 'singing' section is being used as the match is heading for a sell out. People were being sold these seats when I was buying an extra ticket earlier this week. 'Singing ' section is a misnomer though. It is simply being sold as THE WEST STAND, and the club are expecting a sell out crowd, not surprising considering our recent run of form at home and Rangers sitting top of the league.
  3. Absolutely, I have a huge memory, I store it all in my belly. :010:
  4. Hibs it is then, here is the Beebs take on it from http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t..._ct/7171461.stm Hibernian have signed Inverness Caledonian Thistle midfielder midfielder John Rankin for ?110,000. The former Manchester United player held personal talks with the Easter Road club and has agreed a three and a half year deal after passing a medical. Both St Mirren and Falkirk had bids rejected for the player and Hibs were twice thwarted. Rankin is the first signing brought to the club by Hibernian's new manager Mixu Paatelainen. The 24-year-old Rankin had been told that he could find a new club but has recently won himself a regular starting place with the SPL outfit. And Inverness indicated that they are looking for more than the ?65,000 they paid Ross County for the left-sided player in the summer of 2006. A move to Easter Road would see Rankin, who still has a year-and-a-half on his contract, reunited with Donald Park, the new assistant manager at Hibs. Park left the same role at Caley Thistle in November, citing family reasons. And Paatelainen moved for Park last week when he took over the manager's job at the Edinburgh club. St Mirren are believed to have approached Inverness with a ?40,000 bid for Rankin, but that was dismissed along with a slightly improved offer. Rankin began his career at Manchester United but moved to Ross County in 2003, having failed to break through at Old Trafford. He has netted three goals in 18 appearances this season but was not included in the squad for the Scottish Cup defeat by Hibs on Saturday.
  5. good chance yer battery is goosed or not getting charged, I have had numerous problems with leads breaking at the dc connector which plugs into the back of the laptop. The unfortunate thing about this part of the charging lead breaking is it is attached to the transformer and a new lead may well cost anything up to ?100 pounds. I am now an expert at repairing the connectors.
  6. If I remember correctly, Length bp 245' 6" Breadth 37' 6" Depth 22' 6" 1613 tons gross 1490 tons nett Built by Anderson Rodger of Port Glasgow for Sterling & Co Glasgow- riveted steel .She was launched fully rigged on the 3rd of December 1896 and named Glenlee. Sold 1898 to Robert Ferguson Dundee and renamed Islamount. Sold 1905 to R Thomas & Co Liverpool and operated as a one ship company - the Flint Castle Ship Co but not actually renamed.. Sold1919 to Societa Di Navigazione Di Italiana and renamed Clarastella.. Sold 1922 to the Spanish Navy for use as a sail training ship and renamed Galatea.. Sold 1992 at auction to the Clyde Maritime Trust and renamed Glenlee by the Lord Provost of Glasgow on the 6th of July 1993. Between 1897 and 1919 whilst trading under the red ensign she completed four circumnavigations and rounded Cape Horn sixteen times. Her last voyage under Spanish ownership was in 1969 and thereafter she was secured alongside at the Ferrol naval base as a school ship and where she was drydocked during 1981 and replated below the waterline. Her masts and yards were sent down and she was towed to Seville (45 miles up the Quadilquivir River) where she was abandoned to the sun and the vandals and where we found her in 1992 looking very sorry for herself. The Trust had only ten days notice of the Spanish Navy auction but was able to make a successful bid of 8 million pesetas (40,000 pounds). A further 30,000 pounds was spent during 1993 to meet towing certificate requirements for the 1,400 mile tow back to the Clyde which was completed on the 9th June at an average speed of 6 knots and where she was drydocked for inspection. Think thats right anyway.
  7. Great, I've just bought John Rankin, not sure what I will do with him though, maybe sell him on to Hibs....
  8. Can you buy John Rankin on e-bay? wow 4 items found for john rankin in eBay Shops
  9. If and when Johnboy goes, who do you think should be the man for the job. Bazza is not in the frame just now, Denzil does not take many, despite being a fairly prolific goal scorer, who then fills you with confidence when the ball is put on the spot twelve yards from International keepers and a blood thirsty opposition support baying for blood and the score is 0-0 in the third minute of injury time at the end of the second half in the game which will decide your clubs destiny for the season :crazy07: So, what are our best options and why?
  10. Bottom line is he was not good enough, too lazy, not even good enough for Ross County, forget him, he's history.
  11. Justifications aside, I popped along near the bridge on the North Kessock side. That must be the record amount of people ever in North Kessock. Cars were still queueing past my house two hours after the event and my house is about a mile from the bridge. A few thousand people converged in the village to see this spectacle and it was pretty good. Traffic jams abounded i doubt you could have got a taxi into sneck until after eleven. There must have been near ten thousand people in North Kessock. By the way, the prime spot to view this would have been the des res of bridgeview drive carnac crescent area, right in line with the bridge, perfect location location location.
  12. I see we lost then, good decision not to go to this game judging by the reports on here. Disappointing as it is, better to do this in the cup than damage our creaking goal difference in the league. Our away form is a bit disturbing, something Brew will have to put a lot of thought into in the coming weeks as we are now back to the six diificult starter games that sealed Brew's return.
  13. They might have won the cup game, but we have a huge firework display tonight....pah who wants cup wins....
  14. Steady now tcf................how do you know her name is Heather

    Dean Shiels

Aye, fair play to the guy he has done exceptionally well in adversity. His CV to Brew looks pretty good now.
  18. quack quack oops..............no hat-trick today for our superstar, how sad never mind.
  19. Bit harsh there dog, we are now having a decent season, took one on the chin from a rampant Hibees, but we are better placed than more teams than Gretna, in fact are we not just a point behind the aforementioned Hibs, albeit a game more played. Their euphoria will be short lived, this is a team that have yet to score at TCS.
  20. That's it over then, said tincanfan the chinese footballer quotey of the day well done thatmantincanfan
  21. Congratulations golden boy McGuire, is there no end to your talents :010:
