Butcher to Barnsley? Terry stays put***
What could a manager achieve with Barnsley? They do not have the resources to get to the Premier League. They do not have a good cup record. As pointed out, their league positions are of historic struggle. The only achievements could be saving the club from relegation again, and again, or getting relegated and trying to get back up..and welcoming Michael Parkinson as an occasional guest. Magic!!

Doncaster Rovers Football Club Limited is an Active business incorporated in England & Wales on 13th September 1920. Their business activity is recorded as Operation Of Sports Facilities. Doncaster Rovers Football Club Limited is run by 3 current directors and 1 company secretary. It has no share capital. It is also part of a group. The latest Annual Accounts submitted to Companies House for the year up to 31/05/2011 reported 'cash at bank' of £0, 'liabilities' worth £4,493, 'net worth' of £-1,090,754 and 'assets' worth £12,500. Doncaster Rovers Football Club Limited's Risk Score was amended on 01/03/2012. http://companycheck.co.uk/company/00170192 Fascinating to compare their wage bill with ours!! Subject to a takeover possibility will create some anxiety for a new management team. http://www.insidermedia.com/insider/yorkshire/82535-player-sales-help-barnsley-fc-score-small-profit

Step back a bit. We have an unknown Scottish Reporter bored by Xmas. A no hoper going no where in his life. What does he do? 'I know I will dream up a story because there is no real news to report and cling to the tails of an institution and Manager who are successful.' Pitiful person.

THE WINTER BREAK - ICT TRIVIA
Been at work but 1 Would need to look it up so will guess 5,356 2 Was it Ian Stewart? 3 Was it a friendly in which Duncan Shearer played and shortly afterwards joined ICT? 4 St Johnstone 5 Would need to look it up but will guess 121 And add a question from 'Going Ballistic' Who swapped shirts at the end with Gascoigne in the March 1996 Quarter Final game against Rangers?

Did no one suggest playing the game at the Caledonian Stadium with the Dingwall fixture swapped with March?

THE WINTER BREAK - ICT TRIVIA
Alex Correct in most respects like Renegade but Q1 - Celtic when Juanjo was sent off. I am not aware Mark had ever saved a penalty although a few seconds after saving it Celtic scored from the ball not being cleared. Q6 - is surprisingly 7-0 Q9 is Marius Nicolae as far as I know. He is actually scoring quite a few goals and is the only player through our books with a transfer worth in excess of £2m if things are to be believed. Q10 is quite surprising with them considering they currently have two current ex ICT goal keepers. Brewster played for both teams too. The prize is for you to produce five more questions that demonstrate how far ICT has come in its short history!

THE WINTER BREAK - ICT TRIVIA
Apart from the transfer window, the next few weeks could be quite lean on this site. So let's start our own game. Question Number 1 - Mark Brown is known for his inability to save penalties but against which leading team did he keep ICT level with a top penalty save? Question Number 2 - Which former ICT player has the nickname 'The Butcher' because of his sturdy tackling? Question Number 3 - This former ICT Midfielder joined a Saudia Arabian team and then returned to his roots? Question Number 4 - Which ICT player was Ian McCall describing ...'' without a doubt the best distributor of a ball from defence, bar none" Question Number 5 - Name the four Robertson's to have been on the ICT books. Question Number 6 - How many MacDonalds have been on the books as opposed to Campbells? Question Number 7 - Who scored the winner for Falkirk in May 2009 to ensure our relegation? Question Number 8 - This ex Ross County and ICT player is now playing centre half for Dover Athletic. Question Number 9 - How many ex-ICT players have captained their full international side? Question Number 10 - Name the best 11 players who have played for Ross County and Inverness.

Butcher to Barnsley? Terry stays put***
We have to accept that both ICT management and players will attract attention. There is no money to be gained directly from working for ICT - we do not have the fan base or TV and other sponsorship. With Barnsley the extra pay and relocation hassle if Terry is tempted will probably result in Division 1 football next year. Well he does have experience of rebuilding from Division 1 but that may not happen again so quickly. For some though the challenge will be about 'I can turn things around'. If Terry was talking to himself he would say ' you can earn good money in the short term but if things go wrong your managerial career could end up on the scrap heap. You are happy in the Highlands and are close to your best year ever as a manager. If you still remain ambitious, go to a more fashionable club.'

Mackay's scoring run
http://www.maxifoot.fr/football/article-17521.htm With a goal every 64 minutes, Lionel Messi is on another planet this season. Who are the most effective strikers in Europe? In other championships, we note the good performance of Oscar Cardozo (Benfica, 71 min / goal), Billy McKay (Inverness, 88 min / goal), Billy, we need you back in form against the Staggies!!!

Phillip Roberts Contract
Great guy, with great skill, he is clearly learning how tough the SPL is. He would be a superb addition to the team on a permanent basis.
-
Ex ICT Players Score
He didnae score but he was on the bench -- Roman Golabart for Wigan in their 3-0 away win against the Villa.
-
St Johnstone -V- ICT
The players should take a bow - this has been a remarkable season so far. We are being shot at but we have held in there. It is vital we do not underestimate the Staggies. They look pretty safe this season but we must raise our game on Wednesday. Their result against Hibs looks mighty impressive.

March 17th... my 1st ICT match conundrum
Never ever count chickens before they hatch. If we do overcome Hearts and they will be desperate for a second final in less than a year, there will be no problem getting a ticket unless Celtic or St Mirren want a ridiculous amount. ICT do have travel coaches but I am sure some kind supporter would have one spare seat. Single train travel to Glasgow is about £11.50 plus the cost to Hampden and back to Airport. The game is on Sunday at 3.00 pm. With extra time and penalties it might not finish until nearer 6. Getting to the Airport might be problematic with St Mirren or Celtic supporters joining the rush. Look forward to the Ross County game and see what happens.

Derek Adams team talk
Has there been any response from over the Bridge or are they waiting in ambush for the classic counter attack on 2 January? Hopefully the Highland News use it if we come out unscathed.

Russell Duncan
Could be joined by Grant and Rossco given the players Adams is trying to source.
