  1. As a reminder, Rangers Tax Tribunal resumes on 16 January 2012. They, like Hearts, may suffer administration in the near future if that goes against them. That said, I think Scottish football has been very interesting with Vlad. He has certainly invested a considerable sum of money into Hearts. We have seen some interesting and talented footballers at the Club and some pretty interesting Managers. Vlad has probably enjoyed his trips to Inverness especially his swim across Loch Ness. If nothing else, he is a very interesting survivor from an entirely different part of the world. He is not crazy but someone somewhere is if they think they can rescue Hearts.
  2. Went for a 10 mile run before the game and the roads, pavements and grass are running with excess water. Grassy areas are saturated. Drainage can only happen so far regardless of under soil heating etc. The Caledonian Stadium is after all exposed to sleet, wet snow and rain. Tommy is not superhuman!
  3. Johnny will be knackered by half time as Captain.
  4. This is going to be our toughest game so far in 2012. We must not underestimate how well the Saints are playing. If they win they could go third. Sandaza v Golobart - the great Spanish Inquisition.
  5. If Rossco does not make it, who will be Capitano? Ryan Esson?
  6. Last year we went undefeated away during the calendar year. This calendar year no penalties in the league assuming the ref does not mess this sequence up tomorrow.Just our bad luck to be drawing with one minute to go and the ref gives us a penalty to mess things up. Well I wonder what 2012 has in store - no home defeats, no bookings or sendings off, no serious injuries?
  7. 'Filipe Morais grabbed a late equaliser for Oldham to frustrate League One leaders Charlton, who missed a chance to extend their lead to seven points.' bbc
  8. The critical thing for Chris is that he gets the necessary treatment and recovers. This has indeed been a disaster in terms of injuries and some genuine bad luck. Looking on the bright side, if any team can get out of it, it is Inverness Caledonian Thistle UNITED.
  9. Rangers might lose points through Craig Whyte's alleged directorship ban. At present that may be a long shot. http://sport.stv.tv/football/scottish-premier/rangers/286032-no-rangers-agm-this-year-says-craig-whyte/ http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/rangers/8929528/SFA-to-investigate-whether-Craig-Whyte-is-fit-and-proper-to-own-Rangers.html Given that Stewart Regan asked for details by return it does seem odd that the Ibrox club failed to notify the SFA last week.
  10. The bottom six is massively competitive at present. This is a fantastic result but a defeat next Saturday could put us back at the bottom with some very difficult fixtures heading up. Congratulations to Ross County on another fantastic result.
  11. In a court of law the referee could not prove there was use of an elbow 1 there is no photographic evidence 2 he was unsighted with his only witness, Mr Samaras also from Glasgow, providing just circumstantial evidence with an elaborate piece of acting. Yet as Rob Maclean observed, Mr O'Reilly could not get his card out fast enough. Let us suppose the club appeal to the SFA. They uphold the decision so ICT appeal to the Court of Arbitration in Sport and that Mr O'Reilly produces no valid reason for the sending off. Could the SFA be liable for negligence and pay ICT damages?
  12. Two offside goals and an assist from the referee. In other walks of life a person could be disciplined for such ineptitude. He should be made to watch a video of his key decisions rather than allow the SFA to bury them and move quickly on. Ref also sent off Steve Jennings who comes from the same territory as Greg. A neutral person would have found today's decision dodgy. The BBC found little in it.
  13. Tade could prove to be a very shrewd signing if he continues to grow in confidence. There is clear evidence he is learning his trade well at SPL level. His strength is a major asset. His battling qualities are what help a team succeed. Gregory really wants to improve and succeed. Adam has now to work on his game to prevent slipping back like Mark Brown did. Anyway, it is good that our fickle supporters who traditionally dismiss our new strikers within a few games are warming to Gregory.
  14. Roy Aitken's name mentioned earier on the Motherwell Celtic text. Hibs have problems beyond Calderwood. Yogi was a good manager.
  15. I think Wolves fans used to call Davis - Dale. He was signed from Tividale. Consequently if the two new signings do play in the same game we could have 'Chip' and 'Dale' as our rescue rangers during the injury crisis.
  16. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14601610.stm Absolutely inspirational for Graeme at the depth of our spell to pull out the winner. Well done young man - an inspiration in adversity.
  17. Da iawn Owain. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14421518.stm
  18. I presume he is desperate to score his first goal for the club so was too eager. The guy is a worker and is new to the Spl - he needs support like anyone else.
  19. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/football/spl/2011/07/31/terry-butcher-i-m-in-my-own-paradise-living-in-scotland-and-managing-inverness-86908-23310467/
  20. A cheap day at the seaside with football thrown in. No where else can you look out to sea for dolphins and seals and then head over the road for a pie and pint and crackin game of footie. Where else in Britain can you get to see players of the calibre of Esson, Foran, Doran, Tudur Jones, etc managed by the giant Butcher for such a good deal? Totally agree and hopefully a few more people will now buy season tickets or come along and support the club and city.
  21. Talking of Bobby Mann we had Markus Paatelainen who was Finnish Eric Geno Sije Odhiambo of Tanzanian descent
  22. Davide Antonio Xausa - Italian dad
  23. Les Fridge - Iceland
  24. Andy Barrowman - Swede
  25. He had a fitness test for the Hibs game and appears to be fine http://www.inverness-courier.co.uk/News/Miss-Glasgow-proves-a-hit-with-Inverness-Caley-Thistle-players-27072011.htm
