  1. The home fan being a Lithuanian sprinter!
  2. I'm really getting bored of this and its spoiling the game now. The non-stop cheating, diving and constant feigning of injury is just pathetic now. It seems players go out now with the intention of getting players booked and red carded. To me thats not what football should be about, its about scoring goals and entertainment, not grown men (some millionaires) throwing themselves to the ground with the meerest of touches. If Fifa/Uefa want to improve the game sort this out now. Its not even just Samaras, Celtic were at it all over the place on Saturday, Kayal, Stokes and Majstorovic just to name a few. Plus Murphy at Motherwell, McGowan at St Mirren, Cardle for Dunfermline and who could forget the disgraceful way Chris Maguire went down last season after getting a little push from Grant Munro. The last one technically a red card, but wouldn't even have been a booking without Maguire going down. Its worldwide now and the governing bodies seem to be encouraging it rather than stamping it out.
  3. easy Wilson Mann Sheerin
  4. If things are that bad that the manager and assistant have to turn to the internet forum for tactical advice from people sitting behind their computers, then yes immediatley sack them. In my opinion and without namecalling, this thread is beyond ridiculous
  5. Dunfermline should have won easily but dont let that fool anyone that they're a good team. They were utter garbage as well, but far superior to us. Today was Brewster-esque football. To many players completely anonymous, Tansey, Nick Ross (going backwards as a player) and Proctor (will he ever learn to foul outside the box). Andrew Shinnie and Davis did well, but Davis is away in January so god help us!! To be fair I thought Rosscoe was really good too. If we don't improve in the next few weeks we are going down, absolutley no question. Totally disjointed, totally unorganised we look a total shambles!
  6. Cowdenbeath 3.v.4 ICT 1996? Ross County 1.v.3 ICT 1996? ICT 7.v.3 Ayr Utd 2000? Celitc 1.v.3 ICT 2001 obviously ICT 0.v.3 Rangers 1996 scottish cup quarter final
  7. 1. Stewart 2. Wyness (first spell) 3. Rooney 4. Mclean 5. Thomson
  8. Getting rid of Butcher at the moment is a frankly ridiculous suggestion as is taking the club as far as he can. Ok we've had a shocking start to the season, but is up there with the best 2 managers we've had in Pele and Robertson. To my mind Pele in particular was the king of the slow start. There are always 1 or 2 people on here desperate for negative things to happen to try and bulk out they're conspiracy and forcasts of doom at every poor result. We have had a lot of injuries to first team players and we've been stripped of a 20+ a season striker. Any team in the SPL would struggle to score goals without them. Yes we do need a good striker, but like Wenger says, if there was a shop he could go in and get them he would. But there isn't, and if there was we'd be in poundland and even then the sale section! its a very frustrating start to the season but bar last night we haven't been anywhere near playing Brewster-esque football!
  9. The 2nd penalty highlights what is wrong with football now. It is absolutley not a penalty, the slightest of contact sends the largest player on the football pitch crashing down. I remember watching Italia 90 and commentators nearly laughing at the antics of Jurgen Klinsmann. Nowadays though that is completely accepted as part of the game. The diving, cheating and constant greed of the players is now killing the game. They may all shake hands at the end of the game but its far from an honourable game anymore!
  10. No point in moaning about referees, its the same every week. Lets face the fact that we were playing an incredibly poor Rangers team and we couldn't do much against them. McGregor had virtually nothing to do for the whole 90 mins. Defensively I though we were ok, Rangers didn't create much. But last seasons team would have beaten Rangers, and by a few goals i think. We are despratley short up front and we don't look like scoring. In regards to appealing. I'm sure we will and I'm sure the card will be recinded.......not much use now though is it!
  11. I would put money on Terry Butcher being interested. But i'd also put my mortgage on Butcher not being offered the job!
  12. I would think this signing will be announced tomorrow. But if my sources are correct he has signed already. The same source seems to suggest there wont be another striker coming in though!
  13. If he's not near the standard are we not better off trying to develop Gavin Morrison or some under 19's instead?
  14. I don't know if we'll be signing another CB. If we can keep Aldred to the end of the season then I think that might be us in terms of signing players. I understand people being worried because he's young, but if we'd signed danny wilson or grant hanley on loan i think we'd be delighted and they're both under 20. Aldred by all accounts so far looks like a bit of a player so lets give him a chance.
  15. Hilarious as usual. We dont sign someone for the U19's, so obviously there has to be yet another behind the scenes conspiracy. If it wasnt for these shadowy figures lurking in the backround hellbent on bringing the club down from the inside, we'd be in the champions league!!
  16. i would be surprised if we went with the above formation and players. In my opinion our 2 best players in pre-season have been Nick Ross and Shane Sutherland, Ross in particular looking very sharp. He could be a big player for us next season
  17. if, if, if and if occur then yet again its doom for everyone. We have a young player on trial, give them a chance!
  18. As it stands at the moment if Rooney is away. We're weak up front and at centre back, not a great combination.....still 2 months to the end of the window though, so lets stay positive as there must surely be some good signings coming!
  19. So yet again the ludicrous behind the scenes conspiracy theories have been proved wrong. Glad to see the big man staying, don't think it was ever really in doubt!
  20. I'll tell you what 2 words don't spring to mind "title" and "challengers". The 2 that instantly sprung to my mind were "ball" and Long".
  21. haha yes Scotty, spot on.....see also Martin Glancy!
  22. haha yes Chris, I'm sure I can see a few kiddies getting punched in the back next season!
  23. According to the P & J today, he is off to Peterhead. Good luck to Roy, a great servant and hard worker who never got the credit he deserved!
  24. I currently sit in that area of section E and there are quite a few other season ticket holders around there. Article doesn't make it clear wether we're moving or not. I don't mind moving but if I have too but perhaps the club should do us some sort of deal. Main Stand seat at North Stand season ticket price for one season perhaps. I think that would be a decent gesture by the club.
