  1. Rather than compare to previous games v st.johnstone, just compare previous home games midweek at this time of year. January-February-march time. Without seeing the actual figures I'm certain it'll be more and also compared to some Saturday home games earlier in the season we also got more last night. Good initiative from the club and hopefully they'll try it again
  2. It was also v St Johnstone and we were hammered 4-0. I think Shinnie will be right back and Tremarco left. I would certainly give Devine a go at CB for Meekings at some point this season though. I don't think theres much between them and he's always been pretty solid at CB
  3. Don't really want to point fingers. But if it's off due to a frozen goalmouth it suggests to me that the undersoil heating wasn't on. Crazy after the weather this week
  4. In Perth now. Shocking to have the inspection at this time of day. Thanks spfl, pathetic
  5. The 'laughable' Alex Neil will be doing some laughing of his own after quadrupling his salary at Norwich! John Hughes has been in the Inverness job for little over a year, but is now 6th longest serving in the Premiership and 16th longest of the 42 managers in the SPFL! I never said he was a bad manager. But he is a total ungracious ****. He reminds me of Derek adams
  6. Martin Glancy would certainly be a cult figure. Never a great player but always a hard worker and got a few goals. He certainly endeared himself to the fans if I remember correctly. Richard Hastings' free kick v Arbroath I think it was in a 4 or 5-1 win at Telford Street. He scored a beauty in that game from 25-30 yards out and the proceeded to take free kicks for seasons after without getting anywhere near. Although he was regarded for a while as a brilliant dead ball specialist.
  7. Not a great performance but a wins a win. We've had a lot of games recently and 2 of them had a derby feel so yesterday was ok. One thing that was good to see, was that Gary Teale was totally dignified and and wasn;t just appealing and shouting for anything and everything even when they know they're wrong. More Gary Teale's and less McInnes, Darren Jackson and the laughable Alex Neil.

Meekings I think has been poor for a while and shinnie to me didn't look interested against Aberdeen. Both benched for me

  10. Total overreaction to the 2 boys on the pitch. Yes it was totally unacceptable and some sort of punishment is needed but ban them for life?? Slightly over the top, even some convicted hooligans aren't banned for life. The game. To be fair it was a fairly even 1st half, Partick took their chances and we didn't. The second half however the players should be embarrassed with themselves. After the 4th goal they just gave up and some of them didn't look like they were trying. It could have been a lot more than 4. Hopefully just a blip and we don't get bogged down at this time of year for the 3rd season in a row.
  11. Stuff like this makes my blood boil. We're 2nd and have beaten Utd this season and a lot more comfortably than the scoreline suggested. But naturally we're not even considered. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30432818
  12. This article is why there is little to no sympathy for Rangers. 'The game will die' 'Scottish football needs Rangers' etc etc but yet no mention of this when this idea of Celtic (and Rangers most likely) leaving to join the extremely boring Euro Super League idea.
  13. What happend to lewis Horner?
  14. I wasn't suggesting sorting the shortfall or anything. If I did i'd be working at the club. Like I say I understand the business reasons for what the price is, just saying that the quality of the football in Scotland doesn't justify what the price is.
  15. I can't believe i'm saying this but I actually agree with 'Renegade' that £15 is about right for the standard of football in the SPFL. I understand all about the minimum prices etc but lets be honest with no disrespect to a great team we have for this level this season, that £31 to see any game at TCS is way too much.
  16. Hardly the most reliable source in the world the Daily Star. But i'm 99% sure he'll be away in the summer, lets hope he leaves us with Europe to look forward too
  17. When Graeme leaves he'll get in the squad. Sad but true
  18. People are just bored with football. Ultimately it doesn't mean anything anymore because long gone are the days where any team could win anything. Big clubs stockpiling good and young players, the absolute total greed of the likes of Chelsea, Man City, Celtic, PSG etc, Arab billionaires paying any amount of money for players, players earning near half a million a week, managers constantly sacked, and the ludicrous price of going to a game. I could go on and on. Its just not the game it used to be, its now a business for the top clubs and shareholders to make money and feck everybody (the vast majority of people who love football) else.
  19. Also Andrey Sigthorrson and Simon Davies
  20. In my opinion we still badly need another striker. Mckay looked exhausted towards the end of last season as he has to play every match including cup games. So we need one for cover if anything. I know Foran could play up there but he's not fit and no timescale for him coming back. Watkins I was totally unconvinced about playing up front, it was like no one have ever explained the offside rule to him. That said he is a good player. But still a striker needed, I didn't think we'd actually sign anyone from another team and would probably have to be a free transfer but we do need someone else to challenge Mckay. Whats James McFadden up to? If we got him fit he'd be some signing
  21. to be fair I think that's a bit harsh on Ryan Gauld to say he's struggling. I don't think anyone thought he was being signed to go straight into the first team. He needs time to adjust and develop into the style of football they want him to play.
  22. As he's in the last year of his contract i'd be amazed if they offered £300,000. Try half that and the board will be seriously considering it. Its worrying if he did leave but there appears to be lots of worrying things surrounding the team right now.
  23. I also think we're in for a long hard and boring season. We don't look like scoring, the whole point of football. We knock it about back and forth around the defence and midfield keeping the ball nicely but just never look like hurting anyone. You need really creative dynamic centre midfielders, plus width for this style of football to work. We seem to play really narrow now and creative wise we have Greg Tansey. I also don't think we're getting anywhere near the best from Doran, Vincent, and most importantly Christie, who really could be a talent if played correctly. Even Draper we're not getting the best from, hes a combative midfielder and we're asking him to take the ball and be creative and for me he's not that sort of player. Mckay has basically been anonymous since Christmas. Also after the first round of games all teams will well and truly have seen we play one way and that's it, we have few alternatives other than the league cup final tactics of defend defend defend. I gave Yogi the benefit of doubt last season as he hadn't had a chance to sort out what players he wanted to stay and what he wanted to bring in. I honestly thought he would have brought in maybe 2 or 3 of his own signings to help the brand of football he wants to play. But he hasn't and if he doesn't I really do fear we may be in all sorts of trouble this season.
  24. I wont be buying a top I never do. But for the people who do want one this is frustrating for them. It is especially poor as some of the teams were wearing their new top for the last games of last season. We can't even provide a sketch drawing of what it looks like. Lets get adidas in for the next shirt makers, at least we might have some decent gear and on time!
  25. Some people just can't accept there isn't some conspiracy going on behind the scenes at ICT. Involving directors/owners/chairmen/players/managers, hellbent on bringing the club down. Change the record
