  1. As a critic of Brewster's I have to say that the start we've made to the season is better than I would have thought. A few more points on the board and a place in the CIS Cup semi finals and I might even become a convert although I do remain concerned about his general man management skills.
  2. I suspect that Roscoe himself might be the first to admit that he's not had the best start to the season. Nevertheless, he's still a vital player for us.

    Ian Black

What concerns me is the very real prospect of being without either Ian Black or Don Cowie next season. What a hole that would leave in our midfield. Come on, get these contracts sorted out sooner rather than later !
  4. Looks like they are the latests victims of the downturn in the construction industry. It may delay the completion of their stadium but I don't see it having any serious implications for the football club as they are two distinct entities.
  5. The White Album by the Beatles.

  7. Very good result and what sounded like an excellant performance after the first 20 minutes or so. Nevertheless, it's still a concern that our forward players have only scored one goal between them from open play in the league this season. Mikey sems to have made a bit of an uncertain starty to the season. I wonder whether there'e merit in giving Esson a run in the first team ?
  8. Pessimist that I usually am, I think we might just record our first home victory of the season. The fact that any win will take us above Killie in the league should be a bit of an incentive for the lads.
  9. I don't think that the relative lack of response can necessarily be taken as a tacit indication of support for Brewster although I personally would favour giving him until christmas before any decision is taken.
  10. Colin Hendry's, albeit brief, managerial record is about as poor as Brewster's. He wouldn't be my choice.
  11. The Aberdeen board wouldn't be that daft.
  12. Home would have been better but this draw gives us a sporting chance of making the semi finals of this competition for the first time in the club's history.
  13. That's left me seriously concerned about Saturday.
  14. I'm a bit more optimistic. I believe we will get 4 points from our home games against Killie and Motherwell.
  15. I wouldn't call Rankin average.
  16. Rory is really frustrating. There's clearly talent there but he consistantly fails at SPL level. He might be better for a full season on loan to a Second Division club such as Peterhead where he could bang in a few goals and build up his confidence.
  17. Still no wages either for the players or the other staff now. Begining to look like a bit more than the "technical hitch" Hearts first spoke of.
  18. I suppose that the bottom line is that we've made it through to the quarter finals. A home tie would be nice after consecutive away fixtures.

  20. There's no doubt that Ross has his shortcomings and that he has bot been at his best this season but he's demonstrated for years, perhaps to initial surprise that he can compete at SPL level. I wouldn't favour dropping him even in the short term.
  21. I disagree, the priority must be to make progress in the competition especially just now when the revenue from the latter rounds might go someway to filling the hole in the club's finances.
  22. Roscoe's been tried a few times in midfield over the years he's been with the club and never with much success.
  23. I don't think that BarryRobson ever played for the Rangers first team, even as a sub.
  24. The fact is that clubs like ourselves and Kilmarnock have to charge these sort of prices in order to balance the books. Clubs have tried in the past to experiment to see whether substantially reduced admission prices would attract proportionately more fans but it seems they do not. I seem to recall that when Boyle first took over at Motherwell they persisted with this sort of experiment for some time and that was one of the reasons they ended up in Administration. That and paying ludicrously lavish wages to the likes of John Spencer.
