  1. Same. Just don't feel enthused about it in any way, shape or form. Seems very low key at the moment but wondering if that is more to do with how close the English Premiership was run up until the final games at the weekend. I expect the media deluge to start any . . . moment . . . now.
  2. Someone must know him as there can't be many that have such an accent amongst all the incomers Dougal You are absolutely right Dougal, I feel so ashamed and almost dirty now for supporting a team from a town I have not lived in and only loosely associate with through being a Highlander. I shall write to Kenny apologising for soiling the sacred ground with my unclean presence and not having the good grace to just loiter in the Away end, and revert to watching my local team instead. Although how I get from Aberdeen to Portree every second weekend may be a challenge. (You didn't think I was going to start going to the sheep shank did you . . .?)
  3. Actually, I have to agree with this. I don't tap into Inverness media that much (more a WHFP man) but the local BBC news her in NE Scotland has something referring to the sheep being in the cup final in every sports spot - it may be that the news is Highland and not Grampian and so with two SPFL teams they are not as keen to promote one over the other, but it is getting wearing hearing the red update hourly just because I live on the east coast. If MFR and the Courier are not running a nightly briefing on ICT to stimulate interest then they are missing a trick. For comparison, what did they do when C*unty were in the Scottish Cup Final?
  4. Three tickets for myself and my two little ones, and two commemorative scarves bought. Feeling good about this one especially after the result last night. Driving down from Stonehaven if anyone needs a lift? PM me.
  5. What I have noticed with recent one-on-ones with the keeper is that Billy tends to blast it straight at them at the moment - noticed that in the semi final and in the league game again against Hearts. A little chip now and then would solve that. He still seems to have the positional sense, just doesn't seem to have the killer touch at the moment.
  6. I am at a loss to understand why there is supposed to be clash in TV scheduling. I seem to recall that whenever this happened in the past, the football was on BBC 1 and the rugger went on BBC 2. Of course that was in the days when TV had to accommodate the sport, and not the other way around. Since when did rugby reach such a level of prominence that it is considered to have parity with the beautiful game?
  7. Because he is. He is the kind of wee nyaff that if he won 3 million quid he would moan it wasn't 5 million. As the song says - you ain't somebody until somebody hates you!
  8. Hilarious! Continual references to us being the "wee team". ICT - Played 22, Won 11, Drawn 4, lost 7 - for 29 against 21 GD +8 - 37 pts Position - 4th Hearts - Played 25, Won 5, Drawn 5, Lost 15 - for 22 against 44 GD -22 - 5 pts Position - Bottom, Last, Strongest in the league [by holding everyone else up] (20 pts if in normal times but would STILL be bottom of the current table) Aye, you keep thinking that. Losers. You'll not be missed.
  9. Brilliant, simply brilliant. Only the final between us and our first major tournament trophy. And am I pleased that I wasn't the only one with tears in my eyes and a lump in the throat immediately afterwards! Roll on 16th March.
  10. Yes. Yes it does. We have been riding 2nd place for months - it was not all that long ago that we seldom dreamed of getting there and even then we would be expecting it as an inevitability that we would be bumped off it PDQ. What the team has achieved so far has been exhilarating and we are well placed to entrench our place in the Top 6. What is important is that we return to winning form and more importantly, take points off our close neighbours (both in terms of the table AND geographically) so we can peg them back as we move forward up the placings again. Looking forward to an exciting 2014!
  11. This now gives us two games in hand whilst we have key players absent, so perhaps we can rally again with wins against Motherwell and County to put us back up the table again.
  12. Funnily enough, the only time I have been spat on was by Celtic supporters although that was quite a few years ago now. Then again, I was in uniform at the time along with another RAMC medic. Explained it but didn't excuse it. Pinch of salt springs to mind !!!!!! Curious response - care to explain?

  14. Totally agree Alex, but I suspect that some of this fascination with him will resonate on until we have a new manager in place and also for some schadenfreude if (when?) all goes pete tong for him at the Hibies.
  15. Very well deserved.
  16. BBC today are stating that Terry has agreed terms, yet Hibs will not comment and our people say there has been no approach. If Hibs are enticing a manager away from another club, is there a rule that says they need to ask permission first? Because if so, and the above is true, I smell compo.
  17. Kenny Shiels???? 08454 24 24 24
  18. Your experience seems quite different from mine then. I don't get to many home games but when I do I enjoy them. Plus away matches. As for "you're in my seat" - if your ticket has a seat allocation on it, then you are in your seat. No further conversation necessary. Don't let one poor experience put you off.
  19. Was this decided because Celtic got knocked out of the League Cup earlier than the final?
  20. No we haven't. We've moved up 28 places to 35th. http://www.fifa.com/worldranking/rankingtable/index.html What a difference a day makes! :-)
  21. Question - since we have won 2 of our last 4 games, three of which were qualifiers and one against the top team in the division, how is it we have dropped to 63rd place in the FIFA rankings?? Admittedly, the Croatia game does not seem to be included yet, but still.
  22. Another fine win for the lads last night, only slightly overshadowed by other events elsewhere!
  23. End of October http://spfl.co.uk/league-cup/dates/
