  1. Thread closed, gone way off track. No moaning about it please!
  2. What, does he not visit your site?
  3. Good advice there. Which got me thinking - at some point in the future after a few bad results, it's inevitable that a shout containing the phrase "English b*****d" will be directed towards the dugout. Can someone more PC than I am clarify the likely response from the PCs on duty at the time?
  4. Great thinking, but only Raith Rovers have any chance of getting that kind of support (again).
  5. From an article on BBC: "Every man has breast tissue, but some have excessive breasts. This ranges from classical cases of gynaecomastia, prompted by a range of causes, to breasts enlarged entirely by deposits of fat over the pectoral muscles. But whatever the cause British men seem to be increasingly concerned over the state of their chests. The latest figures from the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (Baaps) seem to bear out this obsession. " You couldn't make it up.
  6. I don't recall a poll where so many people sat on the fence. Normally we're a very opinionated bunch! It goes without saying that only time will tell. But the Board didn't having the luxury of waiting to see if he turns out to be a good manager for us, they had to make a decision and I was just interested to see what the "approval rating" is before a ball has been kicked.
  7. It'll be interesting to see how willing their fans are to shop each other. And was the very low crowd at Hampden last night because most of them were lying low?
  8. Lanark utd --> Clyde (Div 1) --> ICT
  9. Many fans have been critical of the Board recently. Have they got this one right? Time to nail your colours to the mast.
  10. Not sure if Butch is into Cohen - but I do know that he was stood behind me at a Motley Crue gig in 1989!
  11. This is the first ICT manager to have had prior experience managing above Highland League level. Progress!
  12. The fact that a doner contains 1,000 calories is irrelevant when half of it ends up down your shirt. Anyway, the best named establishment I've heard of: Abrakebabra!
  13. The point is that no other club holds him in as high regard as we do. Not least because he got us promoted, still lives in Inverness, and generally endears himself to our fans. And yet we still don't offer him the job. Most of us believe he has the ability to manage well at this level, but SPL clubs might just see another out of work manager, one who left 5 clubs in quick succession, in acrimonious circumstances. Barge pole stuff. Edit - maybe Johnboy's right, this summer could be his best chance.
  14. You are kidding. One of the most cultured defenders I have seen in the SPL, and even in his late 30's he was a stand-out for Utd.
  15. By all accounts, Robbo was runner-up this time. He must be gutted. His passion and commitment were apparent, and it was clear how much he wanted this. On the other hand, if he hadn't walked out on us years ago he might still be with us as an SPL manager, who knows, so maybe he doesn't deserve too much sympathy. Was this Robbo's last chance of becoming an SPL manager?
  16. All these foreigners on the pitch and now another one in the dugout.
  17. It's like one of those bad horror films where every time you think the baddie is dead, he somehow gets up again.....
  18. My understanding is that to all intents and purposes Robbo was sacked as manager at Hearts. It was reported that after Romanov came in, Robbo's wishlist of signing targets for spending the massive budget included the likes of Golabek, which led his new masters to believe that Robbo did not have sufficient vision or ambition to take the club forward. But there's no disgrace at all in being forced out by that regime.
  19. You didn't let me down Gillian! Anyway, I'm just off to the press to publicly criticise my current employers methods, just to see if I'll get off scot free.
  20. One thing that ought to go without saying is to do your research on the company. Not only does it impress the employer that you've made an effort (and don't be shy about dropping in how much you know about them), but you learn things that will help tailor your responses to what the employer is looking for. The interweb makes it so easy to find info and press articles etc, but some people still don't do it. I interviewed someone a few weeks ago and they didn't even know what the company does. Interview over. It's also possible to find out things about the person interviewing you, but you don't want to seem like a stalker. Internet research works both ways though - more and more interviewers will see what they can find about you. I once changed my mind about a decent candidate after seeing their Friends Reunited entry.
  21. Bennett says there: "The question we're asking all of the candidates is, 'How much do you want this job?' " If that's the most important question, there's no doubt that Robbo would give the most convincing response.
  22. Shut it down sadly, couldn't even find a buyer. I'd guess that he paid a 6 figure sum for it, although he should have comfortably recouped that over the years when it was trading profitably.
  23. Trouble is, even if a fee is agreed with the Broken Hearts, how likely are we to ever receive the cash?
  24. I'm looking forward to a certain poster coming on and telling us that Blackie is an absolute angel, butter wouldn't melt, and everthing is other people's fault.
