Round Two - Black and Blue
The manager's decisions, some right some wrong, have got us to a satisfactory mid-table position. We are ahead of teams including Aberdeen, Dundee Utd and Motherwell, all of whom have bigger budgets and better players than us. The obvious conclusion is that Brewster must be a better manager and tactician than Levein, McGhee and Calderwood. Discuss.

Round Two - Black and Blue
Two things you need to know : 1) A couple midfielders went off injured in that game leaving the manager with no choice. 2) Brewster wasn't the manager at the time.

That'll be Gerry Adams.

Hearts -V- ICT : matchday thread
Naelifts had a paint stain on his trousers today that is almost as old as you, seriously! The comments of the over 50s on this thread are spot on.

Hearts -V- ICT : matchday thread
It was great to have Munro back, you could see today what we've been missing. The defending for the goal wasn't great though, and I would like to see it again because it just came out of nowhere. Don't think Fraser looks too clever, I think he started to come out then stopped in no mans land leaving an easy finish. Imrie, Barrowman and Tokely were very poor today. Black was the only real class we had anywhere on the pitch. However the team as a whole suffered from a lack of creativity and all our strikers were easily dealt with. If were ever going to get a goal it would have come from midfield.

Brewsters Substitutions
The substitutions were indeed surprising. I can only assume that Brew was thinking that whilst Black in the holding midfield role was clearly our best player, he wasn't really offering any attacking threat and a last throw of the dice was needed. Barrowman and Imrie would have topped my list of players to take off though.

So I needn't have bothered incurring a ?2.50 booking fee? Romanov can buy me a pint in Diggers to make up for it.

Six Players To Be Offered New Deals?
Commencing contract discussions with them doesn't mean they will be sorted. Getting 3 out of 4 to stay would be a very good outcome.

XL v West Ham
Talking about failing organisations, Newcastle and now Man Utd are now sponsored (indirectly) by the UK and US governments respectively.

?21 this season, I think used to be ?16 which was best value in the SPL. Especially when we got an injury time winner!

Reserve game today
....against a pretty weak Hibs one.

Brewsters Comments
Such is the fine line in football we are talking doom and gloom about a terrible result, when if Rooney hadn't missed a very good chance, we'd be riding high in a European place.

George Burley
You were sort of right : Peterhead is in Scotland.

Klaus Klubfoot - It's True!
Agreed, but after Hutton who else is there? Anyway, what a sigh of relief when the final whistle went tonight. 3 points after 2 games : 1 point less than we wanted, 1 more than we deserve. (PS Caley 100 - Scott Paterson. Went to Dundee Utd after, but didn't make the grade, don't know where he is now)

Should Duff Keep His Place?
If we're asking if Duff has done anything to deserve being dropped, shouldn't the same be asked about McGuire? They've both done well in Munro's absence.

CALEY TATTOO
Unfortunate typo in that article : "the law strictly prohibits the tattooing of anyone under 8. "

CALEY TATTOO
Would it not be cheaper, less painful and less permanent to just write it on in marker pen whenever you want to show your allegiance?

Scottish Cup draw
I don't suppose a team would be allowed to just forfeit a tie if they couldn't be bothered with the travel and cost involved?

Some things never change....
No wins in any of our last 6 games, and I don't even recall us ever looking like winning any of them. We are not as good as we perhaps came to believe we were, and nowhere near as good as our FIFA ranking suggests.

Who owns TCS?
Intriguing. Have you used info from Companies House to get this far?

That's because half of them come over from Ireland! Monaco probably has the highest ratio with home crowds equating to 1 in 3 of the population, but they are mostly outsiders.

At the recent Arbroath game, I was reminded of the time we were there and a dozen or so of Bobby Mann's mates turned up in fancy dress.- at the game
At a game in France, a group of fans near me started a chant about the police. Being the b******s that they are, they responded by lobbing tear gas into us and then letting loose with the batons as everyone tried to escape. Oh how we laughed - at the game
