  1. Home form is a total disgrace. I seem to have been saying that for months.
  2. I'll revise my estimate. There will be at least 1,500 empty seats in our stand.
  3. Great achievement for him, and he's playing well. Earlier this year he was bottom of the league with us. Must be the first player to get a Scotland cap after playing for County? And the 2nd for ICT (Robson).
  4. There will be hundreds of empty seats in our stand.
  5. Mini Metro, back in 1989. Learnt to drive and sat my test in a very small town that had no traffic lights, roundabouts or anything remotely complicated.
  6. Probably worth persevering with the current guys, given that prior to these server move glitches it seems to have been a very stable service for years.
  7. 3,400 will be more than enough for us.
  8. McGuire explains his decision and his plans in this article. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/8284032.stm
  9. The place that springs to mind is the Tulloch Institute (01738 621541) which is a bowling/social club about 5 minutes walk from the ground. It's a very obvious choice which makes me wonder if the Dees have got in there already!
  10. As mentioned, the 208 is near the ground but will be heaving. In 2003 quite a few of us went to the next nearest pub, but it closed down shortly afterwards and is now some sort of gospel centre. I was about to say there are no other pubs within walking distance of the ground, then remembered that there's one of those modern pub/restaurant /hotel places just over the A9 (next to Dobbies) called the Glover Arms but I've never been inside so can't comment. Plenty of parking and about a 10 minute walk. And Dobbies does a mean cheese scone.
  11. Travelodge has already been mentioned. But the other cheap place that springs to mind is, quite appropriately for yourself, the Isle of Skye Hotel.
  12. Roy is a very well respected player and it's a shame he's out of the picture. Presumably the manager must have his reasons for this, but the only way for the rest of us to really judge whether Roy deserves a place is to see him play. It'll happen at some point, surely. If Butcher just didn't like Roy at all like the OP suggests, then he would have let him go on loan, so there is hope for him.
  13. How many tickets will we need? I recall that we took around 2,000 to both previous finals. Having won it already perhaps the novelty has worn off and we won't take as many this time. I would imagine that we will get 1 stand and Dundee will get 3.
  14. No. He was just playing the ball back across goal -but if it hadn't dropped in, it would have been a tap in for Sanchez.
  15. Not for me, too far to travel. :)
  16. I'd always believed that MissICT was your real name, no?
  17. Presumably he can now open a bank account in the name of Motherwell Football Club. Which could be quite handy if he's mates with the postie who delivers to Fir Park?
  18. Aye, France. More specifically, Dingwall's twin town.
  19. I'm not aware of any Dundee fans ever getting into bother for chanting "Dirty Arab b******s" at their rivals. Yet that chant is at least as racist as it would be if you substituted Arab with Gypsy, in that it makes the derogatory inference that Arabs are both dirty and bastards, making it racist in the eyes of those who choose to see it that way. Everyone knows the Utd fans are not true Arabs, but the chant could still offend those who are, and that is the same in our case. This whole gypsy thing is just nonsense.
  20. Cool, didn't realise that.
  21. Every time Mrs Y is hoovering, my 21 month old points at her and says "Mummy! Hooer!" I smile and give her a chocolate button every time.
  22. Good times!
  23. I remember when Viz comic (back in its heyday when it was selling over a million a month) got into trouble for running a stereotyped but very funny strip called "The Thieving Gypsy Bastards". They were forced to pull it. But in one of life's delicious irnoies, the member of the gypsy community who led the action against Viz was convicted of handling stolen goods shortly afterwards.
