Good luck macbeth, and keep us posted with your progress. There are many fans on this site who are shareholders and get the accounts, and some have a very good understanding of the contents, far beyond what the disclosures tell you. So feel free to ask any questions here and I'm sure people will help.
  2. I can hardly contain my joy.
  3. I have some recollection that the person behind that has also registered other team names and seems to be doing so under the delusion of making some money, rather than resurrecting a club that is best consigned to the anals of history.
  4. Last season was the first time he's ever scored more than 1 goal in a season. He has played for 8 different clubs already, and finally seems to have found his level against part-timers.
  5. I'm surprised to see not a single mention for Bingham : arguably the most talented player we've ever had, and far better than Niculae at finishing, touches, flicks, running, vision, pace, skill, control etc etc.
  6. Anyway, can anyone explain why this UEFA Pro license has been made mandatory? Surely it is up to each club whether they employ a qualified or unqualified manager, an experienced manager or one in his first job, a good manager or a bad manager etc.
  7. Well said Alex (although I think the minimum holiday entitlement is 20 days not 28!) Edit : I believe it went up to 24 days last year, but that includes public holidays.
  8. Q1 Your time are losing 1-0 with 15 minutes left, are visibly tired, and are being outplayed. Do you : A - Bring on substitutes B - Change tactics C - Both of the above D - Do nothing :029:

:015: And the colours aren't even a perfect match.

People are always quick to criticise the club for their poor PR and, well, pretty much anything really. But how about credit where it's due for an innovative way of launching the kit and the free publicity?
  11. Just watch highlights of a typical ICT away defeat last season and you'll get the picture!
  12. Marius looked very slow (now theres a shock) and wasn't in the game much, but he hasn't let himself or ICT down in this tournament. I'm still very surprised he got called up for the squad, and then surprised again that he got an appearance let alone a start.

For me red and blue stripes is the only way to go so I'm not overly keen. But I would say that it's the best non-stripey one we've had.

Apparently if France and Italy draw and both go out, they will have to go through a meaningless penalty shoot-out tonight to decide 3rd place in the group. UEFA at its best.
  15. Correct, it wouldn't be deserved. But I'd still be there in Moldova, Iceland or wherever.
  16. Geez Alex, you're sounding like one of those bearded councillors with organic sandals, who want to abolish school sports day because not all the kids win. A team doesn't work their socks off to reach the final, they just play a few games, some against lower league opposition. It's hardly comparable with s 38 game league season against the best teams in the country. In recent years, cup runners up Dunfermline, Gretna and Dundee Utd have all been embarrassed in the qualifying round of the UEFA cup, and QoS are about to add to the erosion of our coefficient.

It now appears that the teams that topped Scotland's qualifying group are actually p1sh! And then we were thinking that for the World Cup, Netherlands would be very beatable......
  18. Confirmed signing for Rotherham. This will be the 8th club he has played for, aged 27. And to think, he was playing in major Scotland games when he was 19.
  19. Please no.
  20. Think you've got it about right there (twice in 1 day!). But are there many other players at this tournament who would sell for as little as ?200k? He must also be one of the lowest paid.
  21. When you consider the disappointing season he and we have had, I had to pinch myself that he was actually playing in the Euros against France. And more significantly, he didn't look out of his depth.
  22. Portugal are a great attacking and entertaining side. Which sadly means they've got no chance.
  23. :015: It only took Motty a few minutes to get a mention in, that Switzerland played against England in the opening game of Euro 96. Slightly off-topic, but I enjoyed a discussion on Radio 5 this morning which went along the lines of : "Which team do you think will be this tournament's Greece?" "Err......Greece."
  24. You mean they reached the conclusion that France could be tougher opponents than Gretna or Arbroath? :004:
  25. The Perthshire Advertiser confirms what will come as no surprise to any of us, that St Johnstone and Dunfermline are very interested in Bayne. The article goes on to say : "The 28 year old still has 12 months left on his contract, but has indicated he would be prepared to talk to the Pars and Saints" Really?
