Both are coming up for 21 in the next few months, and if they don't look like they can make any real impact then perhaps they should make way for someone who can. Rory can't complain about not getting a chance. He got 62 chances, even if most were from the bench. Mind you his 5 goals were against Ayr, Dumbarton, Dunfermline, Motherwell and Gretna which maybe tells us something. Thanks Rory for one really good performance, now go and find your level.

I used to have one of those car crooklock things that goes across the steering wheel. It contained the helpful words "remove before driving." I'm guessing they had to add that after getting sued.......by a woman.

I had been thinking that Falkirk were facing budget cuts (which would be why Hughes was implying he'd taken Falkirk as far as he can). Didn't expect them to take on another (presumably) quite hefty wage.

If he'd kept playing and his shoulder was fine, there's no doubt at all in my mind that even with a slow 40-something upfront, we'd be in a much better league position. As it is, he pretty much retired a year ago and cannot have kept himself fully match fit.

Interestingly, yesterday's article on the BBC website refers to these players "completing their transfers" and the word "loan" does not appear anywhere.

Q. What has David Proctor got in common with Javier Mascherano? A. Not a lot. But both were granted permission to play for a 3rd club in one season. I think it can happen if both FIFA and the league in question approve it.
