  1. Enjoy the new season northstand.
  2. £1.99 in Menzies and Woolies.........unless you had a deep pocket in yer coat
  3. Heard it said the other day that ICT fans are turning into very sensible people. They are starting to think sense, talk sense and are keeping well away from this forum in so as not to put temptation in the way of their pledge not to start any stupid rumours in the run up to the new season. One part of me thinks this rumour may have an element of truth in it considering there hasn't been a single post in over a fortnight but nah..............I think the person who passed the info on to me must have been delusional.
  4. First he's illiterate because he miss-keys a letter when typing..........now he doesn't even know his own name. What hope has the poor lad got with fans like ours?
  5. Especially with such difficult qualifying rounds to get there every year
  6. But some of the women are more aesthetically pleasing to the eye.
  7. I would have them all play best of three up to QF's and best of five after that. As for the prize monies I see nothing wrong with that being equal at the slams. The sponsors and punters put up the funds and the players entertain regardless of sex. The more successful males will, however, make a great deal more monies outside of the actual tournaments.
  8. Dont recall ever seeing many of them in the streets of Merkinch but then again if the UK attempt to annex Faslane maybe we'll all take up our dirks and claymores once again and kick some ass.
  9. Best way to get round spelling and pronunciation problems is to find out what the dressing room have nicknamed him and just call him that. Maybe not. Probably be as simple as Greenie and that'll open up debate on spelling again. Is it Greenie or Greeny? The things our fans argue about......
  10. Get a message to Terry quick. Fans are not happy that our success last season allows us to enter the league cup at a later stage. We need to ensure we finish no higher than sixth in future seasons. In fact, to ensure we get to play round 1 we need to get relegated. Reading Rule 12 I think Partick still start in Round 1 as it states the SPL at end of season are deemed to be higher than below. At end of season Dundee were 12th in SPL and Partick 1st in Div 1. My interpretation says Dundee come in at Round 2.
  11. Was that the 3-0 win over Buckie where a certain dennis Wyness also featured as a triallist.
  12. All the fuss about a flag. Dont hear anyone mention the hundreds of other people with Scottish flags on the day. Of course this one was being brandished by a politician liked by some and loathed by others. The waving of the flag was picked up by the Biased Broadcasting Corporation who then report a story about political gesturing. After all Mr Salmond wasn't there as a fan of Andy. He couldn't be he's a politician and they are not supposed to cheer on one of their own.
  13. Not selling too well SP?...............re-advertising campaign?
  14. I'm going to vote yes just to annoy all the union flag waving, stone island-and-adidas-booted Rangers Ruffian types. They are going to be seething.
  15. I believe the turf was removed, drainage improved and the pitch re-grassed. No games being played on it to give plenty time for growth.
  16. Sometimes that happens when things dont go t1ts up. A new owner may want the assets transferred to a different company for reasons of convenience. i.e merging two companies. A simple example........I set up a company called MacLeod Holdings. I then aquire all the shares and, ultimately, the assets of Inverness Thistle and Caledonian Football Clubs Plc and transfer all to my holding company. Inverness Caledonian Thistle remains the club but the company is now a newco. No debts, no disasters, just a new company taking over an existing product. The thing is many companies get into financial difficulty for one reason or another and end up as newco's. The company folds and the assets, customer base, goodwill etc are transferred to a new company.
  17. POLWORTH Sounds promising for the season.
  18. Hearts are a bit different though. Their debt is to two foreign banks who have gone bust. Had the banks not gone bust then the debts would still be classed as loans. Yes Hearts also owe the taxman and they have an arrangement in place to pay that off. I dont think, however, that they have the same big list of debtors that Rangers had
  19. I dont recall ever paying more than a fiver for one of those friendlies.
  20. When I was a child, many many years ago, at Roy Bridge Primary School we'd have spelling tests every friday afternoon. Anyone who got three wrong got to feel the leather on teachers strap.
  21. Born in Grimsby and was a youth keeper at Lincoln City in 2011. Not much else on t'internet but I believe we've signed him as U-20 keeper.
  22. Where is it indicated that this keeper is some sort of rushed signing? It may well be that he's been watched for some time and is seen as someone who could push Esson to second spot. I'm a great believer in judging what I see not what I perceive based on drivel.
  23. So there's a mistake in what he wrote and everyone jumps on the illiteracy bandwagon. R is next to T on my keyboard and I can see how easy it is to hit the wrong key. Have all you who comment never made such a mistake? As for the footballer.......that remains to be seen. This guy didn't set out to be one. He was a youngster who entered and won a competition. The prize being a stint with the youth set up at Inter Milan. When that was over he came home and played a couple of seasons with his local teams. I think I'm right in saying we are his first professional club and the step up is a big one. I hope he can cut it but I wont hold my breath till I see him play.
  24. Aberdeen may well have a proven manager but he'll need at least a full season to build a team that could challenge at the top. I see them mid table and maybe top six. Nothing at Killie suggests they'll be up there. Nor even St Johnstone. I think Motherwell will continue as they left the end of last season. I believe Hearts, if they get ownership sorted out, will make up the deficit and stay up. Hibs are hard to predict though I think they may be in the bottom half. I think the County euphoria will have worn off and I see nothing there that makes me think they wont be in the relegation fight. Do Partick have a team suitable for SPL? Celtic will win the league and I predict Dundee United, Motherwell and us challenging for the second and third spots. I'm confident we will be up there because we have continuation in the squad. Some players have gone, some have come in but the nucleus is still there and this should hold us in good stead for a successful start. My only one concern would be Esson and injury.
  25. I can't believe you've insulted Tommy, he also deals with the pitch at Ardersier. I hope he doesn't see your insulting words. Wheres the insult? I believe TC is the kitman as well as groundsman. I also know he's been busy with covers and things to get the new grass growing at TCS so maybe hasn't time to get all the kit sorted out. Nothing insulting in that.
