Pinning this topic for anyone following the development league (U-20's) and for any words of wisdom, match  reports etc.

First league game of new season is 19:00 hrs k.o on Tuesday 23rd August at TCS v Motherwell.

At the moment all matches appear to be scheduled for Monday or Tuesday nights (19:00 hrs) but that could well change. Full fixture list can be found here http://spfl.co.uk/development-league/dev-fixtures/

  • A young ICTFC u20s lifted themselves of the foot of the table with a 1-0 victory over the Buddies at a cold Grant Street Park. ICTFC dominated the first half and could have been 3 or 4 up if it hadn't

  • Team against Falkirk : Hoban, Stark, Rennie, Brown, Gilchrist, MacLennan, Brown, MacArthur, Smith, Wilson, Robertson.

Next week's game, along with the initial set of U20 fixtures are being played at Station Park in Nairn.

Team for Tuesday:

Fon Williams

Raven, Rennie, J. Brown, Horner

Robertson, Tansey, Vigurs, Polworth

Sutherland, Mulranney

PS - This is NOT sarcasm.

Think I may head out and have a look.

Definitely going to head out to this one, are we likely to see any of the first team, or new trialists at this?

Inverness CT U20s: Esson, Brown, Trialist, McRitchie, Gilchrist, MacLennan, Robertson, MacArthur, Fisher, Trialist, Doran

Inverness CT U20s subs: Rennie, MacRae, Stark, Smith, Wilson, Hobin

Motherwell U20s: Morrison, Watt, McMillan, Maguire, Ferguson, Campbell, MacLean, Lucas, Scott, McFadden, Fry

Motherwell U20s subs: Stevenson, Turnbull, Hastie, Falconer, Armstrong,

GOAL!!! 0-1 Brilliant work by McFadden down the left results in a cut back. Lee Lucas gets to the second ball and passes neatly home

GOAL! 0-2 And it's been coming, it's James McFadden! Curling a beautiful free-kick into the top corner (might have been a deflection)

Mcfadden is a very old U20

HT | 0-2 Craigan's side have been playing excellently, with one-touch passing and fluid movement causing the hosts all sorts of problems

'70 | 1-2 Goal for Inverness. Sam Robertson's cross is touched by trialist ever so slightly and nestles beyond the onrushing Morrison.

Do we know who our Trialists are?

Gavin Gunning and Jamar Loza

Went to the game, McFadden was the best player on the park by a country mile. Motherwell were slick and well organised but ICT huffed and puffed and were clearly second best.

I took wee fella to this last night, wasn't expecting a great deal but left after first half, really dreadful to watch and huge gulf in talent. It would almost seem it was the Motherwell first team out there, worst thing for me was the sheer lack of movement and space creation by the Caley boys, unable to create anything and constantly being out muscled to the ball.....again, very familiar theme right now

Half time in Paisley ICTFC U20 getting beat 4-2 . Not good.

can anyone confirm that the 'home' game vs Falkirk will be back at Station Park again?

The game is scheduled to be played at TCS, 7pm Tuesday.

I love the games at nairn. Means i can go when on call. Love being able to stand on the grass too.

Inverness is too far away from my work next week.
