He comes across as being a right character. Good interview.

How isn't it? Says it's a great place and how he likes the peace and relaxed atmosphere here. Probably coz he's not regarded as a young un' anymore.

Okay he says the nightlife's realtively quiet and there's not that much to do, but he's only speaking the truth.

And anyway, Inverness is a small little place, it's relaxed with a real family atmosphere. Nobody is in a hurry, it's chilled -- the kind of place you'd want to retire to. They're good friendly people, and I'm happy to be surrounded by people like my own, pleasant people. Whereas down south you don't get that very much.

Yeah, I thought that, like sitting in Greenock and calling it the banks of the Clyde, which it may be. The Liffey btw is more like a stream than a river, through the centre of Dublin, so they have nothing to talk about.

I'd hardly call the Liffey a stream. It may not be as fast flowing as the Ness but its probably as wide or wider in parts. It's certainly deeper and longer. And it has more bridges. Oh! and Richie Foran never said he was sitting on the banks of the Ness. The paper did.

i very much doubt Richie Foran put the caption in the paper anyway so indeed i was pointing that mistake directly at the paper

Canal may be more accurate then. Surely a more adroit comparison would be against a river of a capital city, in which case, it puts the Water of Leith in the shade. I have been to Dublin once, and a great time though.
