Team for the sheep

So here come the sheep with their hordes of thousands of fans. Where are we placed with injuries? I'd pick:

-----------Esson

Duff Tokely Munro Shinnie

----Ross Duncan Hayes

------------Foran

-----Rooney Odihambo

Our bad run of luck at the TCS has to come to an end soon. We need to attack Aberdeen, get an early goal (or two) and settle in for a battle for the remainder of the match. Surely Duff will have a point to prove against his former employers.

Hayes Duncan McBain

Odhiambo Rooney Foran

Subs - Tuffey, Morrison, Blumenshtein, Ross, McCann, Sanchez, Innes

I guess I'll just have to put some injured players on the bench to fill up space!

I like your line up tbh renegade but I'd swap Hayes with McBain and Foran with Odihambo. Hopefully we'll have a real go at them. McGhee is clueless - we have a great opportunity to pick up another three points.

Ross Duncan

Hayes Odhiambo Foran

Rooney

Subs: Tuffey, Golabek (if fit), Mcbain, Sutherland, Morrison, Blumstein

Did TB play Ross in dm/cm today against St Mirren?

Good team there WYNESS101  .

Yes, i think Nicky played defensive Mid today going from a couple of posts in matchday thread.

It will be interesting to see how Aberdeen line-up because they may go 5-4-1 or 5-3-2 if they are out of attackers, like they did v Motherwell.

I dont think that many of us could have precisely selected any team fer any game previously this season but there is NO doubt whatsoever, barring an injury, that this WILL be the team that starts against Aberdire.

Do we know about the injury status of McCann, Proctor, Golabek and Innes yet?

Maguire just sent off for Dons. Should miss our game then hopefully.

most important game so far this season posibly the first "six pointer" of the season hopeing for coxy bench appearence

That'd be my team apart from Odhiambo for Nick Ross! I wouldnt drop him after 3 goals in 2 league games!

That should be the team. Ross and Duncan did indeed play together in front of the defence yesterday and they looked like Khedira and Schweinsteiger. I wouldn't have Heston on the bench. He looks more like a fat Tory chef than a footballer.

Esson

McCann/Duff, Tokely, Munro, Shinnie

Duncan, Ross/Duff

Hayes, Odhiambo, Foran.

The thought of porter playing in the CB position is a scary one!

It would be even scarier putting Proctor in that position....

Attacking but simple to change to defensive.

Alex, i think Renegade has hacked into your account.

Robert the Bruce called it the 'Arrowhead' formation. All out attack. But move Duff to RB, Ross beside Duncan and Odhiambo between Hayes and Foran and immediately i've the defensive formation you agreed to above.

Butcher always picks my team, as seen on Saturday. Nick Ross was good in the middle after he came on - he did his defensive duties well which would be the biggest question mark over him, as well as hitting the post and bagging an assist for the first goal. Shinnie was a bit nervous early on but settled and I thought Duff did well at full back.

To be absolutely honest, I still think our backline will struggle against better sides and Aberdeen look to have a couple of decent forwards, although Maguire might be suspended.

Looks more like the 38-24-36 formation...

This is the team for me as well. Didn't expect Ross to look as comfotable as he did in the centre on Saturday, so he should get the nod over McBain imo, with Duff staying at RB.

Although McCann, Gillet and Sanchez all have a chance of proving their fitness before Saturday?s home game against Aberdeen.

Here is a wee bit of good news taken from todays Press and Journal stating that the 3 mentioned players may have a chance of proving their fitness ahead of Dons match so presumably they must be close to a return

That would be a big boost. I'd be tempted to stick with Shinnie at LB though
