It's heading to that time again for the contracts to be signed up and the anticipation and trepidation starts as to who will be sign up and who might be offski.

As far I'm aware, the following players are signed up for next season:

Signed up till the end of season 2013-14:

  • Ryan Esson
  • Billy McKay
  • Richie Foran

(Butcher and Malpas are also in this category)

Signed up till the end of season 2014-15:

  • Josh Meekings
  • Nick Ross
  • Gary Warren
  • Graeme Shinnie

Joining next season:

  • Ben Greenhalgh

The following players are out of contract at the end of this season:

  • Andrew Shinnie
  • David Raven
  • Owain Tudur Jones
  • Ross Draper
  • Antonio Reguero
  • Simon King
  • Daniel Devine
  • Aaron Doran
  • Shane Sutherland
  • Gavin Morrison
  • Chris Hogg

Loan deals expire at the end of this season:

  • Charlie Taylor
  • Philip Roberts
  • Jordan Gibbons

Deals unknown:

  • Scott Mathieson
  • Martin Laing
  • Liam Polworth
  • Conor Pepper
  • Matthew Cooper

Not really that many players signed up so far.  Hopefully some people will be able to shed more light to those that are unknown and I'll update the list accordingly, and also when new deals and decisions are announced.

Besides that though, who would you keep and who would you punt?

  • It's funny isn't it?  When Raven first started, almost everyone (myself included) thought he was trash!  Now he's one of our most consistent players!

  • As stated already, players can only move if the club accept payment for the remainder of their contract.   However, I don't think that's the point here...the point is we now have some of our most in

After today's performance, I'd be offering Hogg a one year deal.

Expected shane to go, but not hogg. If it was an affordability issue then id have hoped he'd be realistic with expectations as we paid him through his injury period, if its game time and longrr term risk of injury then I wish him well but think he could have done a job next year.

We need to keep arron though as shinniesta is away we lack a creative player.

Knew Shane was away, Rory McAllister springs to mind.  I wanted Hogg away a few months ago but seeing as he actually did make his comeback and has done well i'd have given him another year.

Just found this in today's herald about Doran, sounds promising:

The diminutive winger this week held further discussions with Butcher over a new contract and expects to sign a two-year extension soon. "There has been speculation but I had a good talk with the manager," said Doran, who has been linked with MK Dons. "We are both happy. It is a weight off my shoulders knowing it is going to be settled."

King has not retired he has just taken up another job for the timebeing

ICT not only paid Chris (Hogg's) wages during the period of injury recovery but in all certainty paid for the high-priced London Specialist (unless an insurance policy paid for it of course) who examined the injury and did the also very- high- priced operation  on his knee.

To have had that kind of support from the club for that kind of dreadful injury for so long,  and his career saved, was massive and ICT fully met their commitments in my opinion to Christopher.

So, unless they were certain that his injury had completely healed and did not present a possible future liability again (that is a long shot IMHO) then perhaps the club  also felt that  there was too much of a financial liability risk for the future.

In any event, he has recovered and doing well so we wish him the very best of luck in the hope that he can maintain fitness and stability in that knee for a bright future.

There will be lots of comings and goings at SPL clubs this summer, look at already with the Dons having 13 released, Well 7, St Mirren similar number - there will be players about with SPL experience and compared to some teams we look to have a good number of the established squad secured. Just need to get Aaron sorted before he jets off on his hols!!!

A source has told me that OTJ is off to Hibs

I see in the press this morning another 3 likely signings  2 wingers and a midfielder - hope Terry doe s not forget to get another striker (preferably with some experience) as we cant totally rely on Billy to do the Business for a whole season

Apparently the reason that OTJ is going to Hibs is that it is so much easier to get flights from Edinburgh to Wales! The same with Reguero's reason for going to kilmarnock so he can get out to Spain easier!

According to BBC, Kidderminster midlfielder James Vincent is also bound to join us. Replacement for OTJ?

Not the best of sources , but the Daily Express says -

teenage winger Adam Evans is set to join Inverness CT on a one-year deal once his Burnley contract expires

Can we try and restrict this thread to players we have signed up for next season, along with progress (or otherwise) on getting members of the current squad to extend their contracts.

The speculation and discussion regarding new players we might be bringing in is best left to the "Who should we sign" thread, otherwise we just end up with a lot of duplication.

Ta.

Reguero's main reason for going to Kilmarnock was the money on offer.

Interesting that in Butcher's post match MFR interview, he says that apart from the mob that are known to be leaving, there a couple of players playing their last games for ICT but he doesn't want to name any names.  Surely that can only be Doran and particularly Jones?

Charlie Taylor has completed his loan deal? I'd also be amazed if OTJ stays tbh.

He alludes to those that we know are leaving (Hogg, Reguero, Taylor etc.), but says that there are "one or two more" that he doesn't want to name.  It sounds as if Doran will sign up, but I think t's Jones he must be alluding to.
