How`s he getting on since his move to greener pastures?

Thought we could keep an eye on him & have a good laugh at his expense when opportunity arises.

I cant see him turning them around this season anyway ,if at all.

Likely headlines after the 7th consecutive defeat " Rod Petrie kicks in Butchers new office door! "

In terms of league position our last 2 seasons have been our best 2 seasons ever and we have Terry Butcher to thank for that.  On a very limited budget he and his management team did an excellent job

It is easy to mock the afflicted

But less we forget

I C T owe a great debt to Terry Butcher

Totally agree as he in many ways took us to a higher level - but the narcissism took over.

TB always remarked how much he loved life in the Highlands ,Caley Thistle were going well , why on earth would he leave ? ...the common opinion ,that he left purely out of greed ,seems a valid one.

Butcher and Malpas have been a complete shambles for Hibs , though I've no sympathy for their plight . The smugness of Hibs supporters at seeing the sad situation at Hearts , has now come back to bite them , not in their worst nightmare did they consider they might be joining their bigger , better supported rivals  in the Championship next season ...and it serves them right , I hope they go down .

No one in Inverness can be too smug either , argue all day ,but  the glory days are probably gone , hopefully SPL status will be retained for many years to come , but thats all .............Inverness Caley Thistle / Terry Butcher /MM was a perfect marriage  , and TB managed to fcuk it all up .. silly , silly Man

I dont think the "glory days" are gone ..... they were apparently gone when Pele left, then Robbo, then Brew (V1.0) etc ......but ICT is bigger than any one man(ager) and we always seem to find ways to confound even the harshest of critics. Thats a big part of the fun of supporting ICT

I agree that TB seemed a perfect fit for the club. A place where he could rule the roost and do what he wanted with basically a job for life - within a tight budget of course - but despite his declarations of love for the area and for the club he showed his real thoughts on the day when - still employed by ICT - he chose to socialise with his new employers when he should have been plotting their downfall. At least the players were professional that day !

That was the GTF moment for me and one that smacks of a complete and utter disloyalty to the club, the players he had signed over the last few years, and to the hard working supporters of our club who had backed him all the way through relegation and the 'bouncebackability' season. I thank him for what he did do for our club, I appreciate it and remember it fondly, but I really hope he falls flat on his face in each and every managerial or media job he takes from now on in ... not because he left, but because of how he left. W***** !!!

I`m more concerned about his dog Fritz these days , Butch doesn't even mention him anymore, can any Hibees out there looking in, put me out of my misery!

Is Fritz still barking mad, like the rest of the Hibees, or has he been unfortunately been put down, a bit like whats gonna happen to yer team !

The "glory days" are far from gone.

It's onwards and upwards at ICT.

Screw the rest.

Well I did say "probably"  I hope you're right

Butcher probably relieved. His record against Falkirk in relegation head to heads is 100% failure.

Mind you one of the reasons he got relegated with us was not seeing off Hamilton at home post split.....

If this was played as a single game at a neutral venue I'd fancy Hamilton to win - but I just feel that over 2 legs, somehow, Hibs will 'fall over the line'.

There's an air of inevitability about hibs relegation I feel.  Has been for a while.

I've got lots of ice in the freezer to put in the mahoosive brandy I'm gonna pour when they go down.

After I stop laughing.

Which will take a while.

Each to their own my friend!  :drinking05:

It's a shame Sky don't have a "Butchercam" for the play-off games. If Hibs are struggling his face and reactions will be a picture.

One thing for certain there'll still be a team beginning with H in the top league.
