Accies @home Dec2025

Admin Derby

Inverness face Administration candidates Hamilton Accies whose off-field activities, like Inverness, has led to them teetering on the brink of Administration. John Rankin has recently left Accies and despite monetary restrictions he had managed to keep a competitive team on the park. However, a constant downward spiral of rule breaking and money problems have seen a downturn in their fortunes and they have appointed Darian MacKinnon as interim Head of First Team Management in the wake of Rankin's resignation at the end of November. Both sides played Cup games in midweek ahead of this one with contrasting fortunes. Accies being dumped out of the KDM Trophy 5-2 by Raith Rovers whilst we edged out Tranent in the much postponed fixture at Haddington.

Scott Kellacher Again

Inverness CT's Scott Kellacher with his Glen's Scottish League 1 Manager of the Month prize for November 2025

ImageOur last League1 game was the 1-1 draw at Alloa on 25th November. Luis Longstaff gave us the lead on the stroke of half time but Cameron O'Donnell levelled with 15 to go.

Since we last played Accies

  1. Accies 3-1 ICTFC

  2. ICTFC 2-2 Kelty

  3. P'Head 0-1 ICTFC

  4. ICTFC 1-0 Monty

  5. ICTFC 1-0 Cove

  6. ICTFC 4-0 QotS

  7. Alloa 1-1 ICTFC

We made a meal of getting past Tranent in the Scottish Cup on Wednessday night but having avoided a cup upset we now face Spartans in the 4th Round.

Stagecoach Service Buses will leave the Bus Station for the Stadium at 1245 and 1415. Buses return from the Stadium to the Bus Station 10 minutes after the full time whistle and at 1800.

Stagecoach bus, fares are £2.70 single (contactless payments or cash accepted), and Over 60 / Disabled and Under 22 Concession passes are valid, giving free travel on the service to passholders.

BAR 94

Bar 94 will open at 1200, with last orders at 1430 (the bar must be fully vacated by 1445).

The bar reopens at full time.

ImageAccies last League1 fixture was a no scoring draw at Ochilview.

Accies last six results in League1.

D

The two wins were against Peterhead and Kelty.

Accies also went out of the Scottish cup losing 4-0 to Airdrie at the end of November.

Still dangerous up front with Oli Shaw and Kevin O'Hara.

Shaw is top scorer in the League with 12

Connor Smith has 5

It's disappointing to see an established side like Accies in the financial mire. We all know how that feels. However, there is life after a successful Administration process and I'm sure genuine football fans would like to wish Accies well in their current plight. There's a fine line between success and failure in the Scottish game with the big fishes swallowing up all the cash whilst the bread and butter teams struggle to survive.

ImageTomorrow's bucket collection is for The Salvation Army, Inverness They will be accepting both cash and food donations such as anything in tins, breakfast cereal, rice, pasta, tea bags and coffee.

Last Home game of the season

Bar 94 will be open from 1200 as normal, and again after the match, when we will be joined by some of the playing squad. There will be a lot going on in the bar pre-match. We will have some items for sale, including bottles of ICT Gin.  Brewed by the Great Glen Distillery, the bottles cost £39.

We will also have Dog Falls Gift Packs for sale, as used for many Dog Falls Player of the Match Awards, along with “Inverness Football Remembered”, the excellent book produced by the ICT Community Development Trust. If you do not have a car with you, we will store alcoholic products for you until after the game.

To make an afternoon of it, why not come down early?

The matchday bus will leave the Bus Station at 1245 and 1415, returning from the Stadium 10 minutes after the full time whistle and at 1800.

The fare is £2.70, and concession passes are valid, giving free travel for pass holders.

Excellent work Donnie, very comprehensive as always😊

Hamilton may be galvanised by this week’s news and I’m sure this will be a tough game, potentially in wet and windy conditions if the forecast is accurate.

By all accounts we were out of sorts on Wednesday and there’s been little recovery time for the players, but it’s our only home game in December, so I’m sure the players will be up for it and can secure three precious points.

Let’s do it!

Looking forward to this game. Our last home match against them wasn’t one of our proudest games.

Accies seem to be a really difficult opponent for us and it will be interesting to see what happens today.

I’m hoping for a strong referee able to see and interpret the game as it flows.

As for Accies potential administration, whilst I have sympathy for the players, Accies are (for me), a team that falls into the category of many Scottish teams that due to there location and easy transport (proximity to large teams), paucity of fans & income and unable to ever change this position should be allowed to reach their real level in Scotland.

As I have argued before there are too many small teams and some (a lot) should stop trying to be what they can never be (and overreach finance stability). For me that means the lowland league for many and reduction of the top league teams (ie three leagues).

If Carlsberg made Saturdays. As a bonus I toddled along to Bonnyrigg who came from 2-0 down to beat Cowden. Regular updates from @caley100 and of course I believe Raith scraped 3 points 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Excellent performance in difficult conditions.

Comfortably the worst refereeing performance of the season

Great result. 5 points clear with a game in hand - hopefully 8 points clear by Christmas. And the icing on the cake a small matter of Raith using County for target practise. It's a shame they can't hang on in the Championship when we come back up for the Highland derby but at least superiority will be back where it should be in the Highlands.

Superb performance all round, well done boys!

I was a bit anxious about this game following the less than impressive cup game mid week. But the early goal seemed to settle us down and we ran out easy winners. Well done lads, and with our two nearest rivals both well beaten. the league table makes for comfortable viewing.

I'll happily take the same again in our two games next week

I’m buzzing after that.

A great performance in horrible conditions, with every player playing their part.

A much more comfortable afternoon than I expected and, with Alloa and Stenny losing, we are top for Christmas.

What a long way we have come since last autumn. It’s a pleasure watching us play now.

Something I’ve been meaning to ask having watched most of our highlights this season; why do we not have names on the back of our shirts? I assumed it was a league thing but everyone else does. Is it to do with cost cutting because of admin? And when will we have the names back?

A very nice result given that Hamilton have been a bit of a bogey side for us in recent times. Zimba proving to be the signing of the season from a strong pack, IMV and it must have been a while since this many options we have for No9 score in the same match. Perhaps the biggest challenge for us at the moment is complacency

As for Ross County, their collapse from the Scottish Premier League is quite the think, worse than our fall from grace, will they manage to go straight through the Championship?

The move, final pass from McLeod, run and finish for Zimba's goal was top class.

Great to see Billy back playing with a proper strikers finish getting his foot in there. Good timing with Chanka being withdrawn as a precuation.

I guess there is a chance that this excellent result could get wiped from the records if Hamilton are unable to complete their fixtures? Think it would depend on how much of the season they manage to complete.

Maybe, but if so then the defeat at theirs would also disappear. Still 3 points down on now, but it could be worse. Alloa would also lose 3 points and Stenny 1 so not too much damage if it comes to it.

I saw the pyros, including the one that caused the game to be paused, but didn’t know about the after match antics:

UNACCEPTABLE CONDUCT ICTFC v Hamilton Academical FC - ICTFC

The good will and deserved plaudits the club have been delighted to extend to other clubs recently were completely negated on Saturday by the behaviour of a small section of the home support both duri

We really don’t need this.
