A very good interview. Football needs more people with his common sense attitude and less like Celtic's Hooper with his pathetic comments on the recent incident. Terry is absolutely spot on when he says that there is far too much pressure on referees with all the TV coverage etc. He says it is a very difficult job and indeed it is. But if they are left to get on with their job rather than be surrounded with players aggresively questioning decisions and having managers ranting afterwards, they will feel less pressure and will probably get the decisions correct more often. Referees are monitored and if they are not doing the job to standard they will not be selected to officiate at the top level. Of course there will always be poor decisions but In general it is a matter of swings and roundabouts. If a club feels it has good reason to complain about the performance of a referee, then the way to do it is behind the scenes. It is great to see a manager who shows real respect for referees. Well done, Terry! Football managers have no business hurling abuse at referees - that's our job.1 point

I'm not sure just how much Dee4Life would have been able to do in reality. As I pointed out elsewhere, any "fans rep" on the Board of the Club has obligations to that Board and is bound by the same rules of confidentiality as any other member. This would, technically, prevent them from "grassing" what was going on. Furthermore, the Trusts 26% shareholding counts for nothing in the Boardroom as the Board are empowered to make all decisions, as per the articles and memorandums. One Board Member = One Vote. That's why fans reps on club boards under the current business models used are fairly pointless, other than from the point that they can raise issues at Board Meetings (no guarantee they have to be listened too). There's also no guarantee that the Fans Rep was aware of how bad things were. However unlikely, it is conceivable that he was kept in the dark over certain matters and/or was being fed assurances from the money men that everything was in hand. Maybe he wasn't the only one, from what I can gather, Melville was all for putting more money in to the club, even though it was not going to be to the same level as he had previously...then out of the blue that seemed to be pulled. Not saying any of the above is the case, and I'm not looking to make excuses for Dee4Life or the fans rep. Just pointing out that they don't have some magic wand they could have waved to stop the club getting in to the position it has. Even if the fans rep had flagged an issue, what could they have done to prevent it? 26% would have given them the power to call an EGM and it gives them the power to stop any changes to things such as Articles and Memorandums etc. Unfortunately it's not enough to force through any changes and, if like us, they have a self appointing Board, they couldn't have forced the removal of anyone. It all adds up to give further evidence that Clubs are being run under the wrong models and how badly it needs to change.1 point

Dundee have been dysfunctional for just about as long as I can remember, so it's no great surprise that even D4life have lost the plot along with everyone else. Dundee's last flirtation with administration was caused solely by a Board headed by the Marr brothers buying in people who they couldn't afford and couldn't keep (Ravanelli, Cannigia etc.) They were (allegedly) funded in a highly suspect manner including being invested in by a chappie called Arcan from Serbia. As well as football, he enjoyed a spot of genocide. Not a great business model for football, but marvellous for a certain type of laundering.... Roll up Melville, now sacked from his company and they are looking at where a lot of money went to in a mysterious kinda fashion. Melville has disappeared like snow off a dyke and the rest of the Board have gone belly up. The parralels between episode 1 and 2 are frightening, and yet all Dundee and it's fans can do is propogate that myth that they are the "biggest club outside the SPL" "too important to die" and that the SFL have been "disgraceful" to them. Let's get this clear, the only people to blame are the Board, which includes D4life. The SFL are entitled to safeguard their product and should do so. It was good to us. The SFL are not attempting to "murder" Dundee, they are seeking to humanely destroy it. SPL? You're having a laugh.1 point

Whether it's through fear, panic or paranoia, I don't know, but many associated with Dundee seem to have lost the plot. The 25 point deduction seems about right to me for a club in administration for the second time in seven years, and the idea that relegation to Division 2 is an unthinkable situation which they could never survive will be seen by many as ridiculous. Clubs survive in Divisions 2 & 3 when they are run prudently and Dundee should be able to do the same if they find themselves there. Then again this is Dundee, a club that could not live within its means in the SPL or SFL Div 1. Much of the sympathy I had for them a week ago is fast evaporating and I suspect many Scottish football fans are starting to feel the same way.1 point

Mr Cadbury met Miss Rowntree on a Double decker. It was just After Eight. They got off at Quality St, he asked her name. Polo, I'm the one with the hole, she said with a Whispa. I'm Marathon, the one with the nuts, he replied. He touched her Cream Eggs, then slipped his hand inside her Snickers. He fondled her Flapjacks, and she rubbed his Tic-Tacs. It was a fab moment and she screamed in Turkish Delight. But three days later his Sherbert Dib-Dab started to itch. Turns out Miss Rowntree had been with Bertie Bassett, and he had Allsorts.1 point

Can I ask a daft question? Is this one of those "Big" games that Season ticket holders need to buy tickets for?-1 points

I'm sure I seen somewhere that because Scotland is ranked 16th there will only be one CL place next year and that will go to the league champions who will then enter the comp at qualifying second round. I think theres also a possible five Europa places. One for cup winners, one for each of 2nd to 4th and a possible fairplay spot.-1 points

Statto time on this dreaded curse. A list of all ICT Managers who have won the award in the SPL. John Robertson October 2004-2005 Inverness CT 1-1 Motherwell Inverness CT 1-3 Aberdeen Kilmarnock 2-2 Inverness CT Inverness CT 2-1 Dundee Inverness 2-0 Livingston Thats 8 points in 15 so i don't think thats a great record. It then took us 7 matches to win, a 2-1 victory over Motherwell on the 18th of December. CURSE Craig Brewster March 2004-2005 Inverness CT 3-0 Hibs Rangers 1-1 Inverness CT Hearts 0-2 Inverness CT Inverness CT 0-2 Celtic 7 out of 12. Pointswise its not brilliant but giving who we were up against thats a great record. After that in April we played 6 matches, won 3 lost 2 and drew 1, so no curse there that time. NO CURSE Craig Brewster December 2005-2006 Motherwell 0-2 Inverness CT Hearts 0-0 Inverness CT Inverness 1-1 Celtic Inverness 2-0 Hibernian Aberdeen 0-0 Inverness CT 9 points out of 15, another good month for brewster who then went onto be unbeaten in his next 2 cup matches and beating livi and falkirk in the league, then to be beaten by Rangers 3-2. NO CURSE Charlie Christie October 2006-2007 Rangers 0-1 Inverness CT Inverness 3-2 Falkirk St Mirren 1-1 Inverness CT Only 3 games but beating rangers and staying undefeated is good. It then took us 9 matches to win again, another victory against Rangers 2-1 on 27th December CURSE Craig Brewster December 2007/2008 Dundee Utd 0-1 Inverness CT Inverness CT 2-0 Hibs Inverness CT 3-2 Celtic Hearts 2-3 Inverness CT Falkirk 1-0 Inverness CT Inverness 3-1 Kilmarnock 15 points out of 18, this is by far the best month for any ICT manager IMO. Over the next 13 matches we only won once and that was against Gretna CURSE So out of 5 previous Manager of the Months, we have performed badly the following month 3 out of 5 times - Thats a CURSE, Brace yourself!-1 points
