Not concerned in the least. Aberdeen can make an approach if they want becasue I really think there is zero chance of Butcher going there.2 points

You could probably list 101 things that draw fans to come see ICT, but what's more important is the reason they keep coming back. Nope, not SPL football...it's the sense of belonging and how quick fans are to welcome new fans into the fold (even if it's not obvious some times). I also think that is very much a Highlands thing and few other places could replicate it. Up here we think nothing of giving a stranger a nod in the street or saying good morning or whatever...do that down south and you'll get a strange look...or worse. That extends into the football. All any stranger has to do is make it known he is willing to talk ICT and they're made welcome and invited to join your company. That seed of interest is nurtured and people are accepted into the fold without prejudice...what's even better is the fact that we, as a community, tend to do it without thinking about it. This forum is full of people who's "First Encounters" would have been made in the above manner. From there, I think people just get addicted to the ICT mentality...an enigma much like the Loch Ness Monster in that, we all know it exists, some claim to have seen it, but nobody really understands it!!!2 points

In an age of poor Scottish National teams (the worst in memory) , , ordinary performances by Scotlands top clubs in Europe , and a general lack of local talent (compared to years gone by ) ICT stand out as a shining light of success , an amazing rise from obscurity to rubbing noses with the elite clubs of the SPL . They have ruffled the Old Firm and have graced the Scottish League like a breath of fresh air . If you have had anything to do with the Highlands or Inverness at some stage in your life , why wouldn't you follow the fortunes of this small but very impressive and exciting Club ?2 points

Terry has more sense than to go to Aberdeen. He would have no money, a miserable fan base and unrealistic expectations. Tbh i think Aberdeen are need of being relegated, as much as it hurt me to see us go down it was the kick up the backside we needed to get our act together and i think the Dons are in need of similar treatment. John Hughes to get the job imo.1 point

A really good interview - strongly recommend that anyone who didn't hear it should try to find it on iPlayer. TB came across as so enthusiastic about the squad, the players and the lifestyle Inverness offers. He must speak better than just about any manager working in Scotland at the moment. Genuine admiration from all the pundits too - we're definitely starting to get some appreciation for what we've achieved so far this season, from the Beeb at least. The best bit, though, was the compilation of the Sportsound commentaries of all our winning goals, and the equalisers against the old firm: I was dancing about while washing the dishes.1 point

One of the reasons that the Highlands, and Inverness in particular, was such a magnet for economic migrants from Poland a few years ago, was that a superclub in Krakow used to play 'Bring It On Home' at the climax of every night. Rumour has it that its popularity spread to Romania and this is the real reason that Marius signed for us.1 point

We shouldn't delude ourselves into thinking that sighing a new cintract woul be "a good thing" for Adam. Good for the club and fans yes but not for Adam as all it would do is put a financial burden on his options and allow the club to dictate what happens (unless of course he has his contract claused to death which makes it pretty pointless really). I don't expect him to sign and if it was me, I wouldn't. He will be free to discuss any opportunity that comes his way from January on and I don't envisage any situation where the club will put a deadline on any deal for him going forward. This is a golden opportunity for him as he is in the peak of his form and injury free. Why risk a dip next season or a spell out? Ever since Brew (that's right, Brew, the big guy many choose to abuse at any opportunity) took a risk he has been first class. When, not if, he goes, I wish him well.1 point

Ok, here goes....the Musket came in to being in the early 1600's and getting caught up in the hype of the new weapon the French formed a new Kings Regiment (Bodyguards), named them after and issued them with Muskets. Les Mousquetaires du Roi, to give them their proper title, quickly came to realise that the Musket was useless for the job they were performing, and although the name stuck, they quickly resorted to using the far more efficient and effective sword.1 point

No problem, Gordy---I've been a cartoonist for a long time and your comment was milder than a lot I've had! Thanks for the welcome, guys. I still have a lot of friends around Inverness and one of them emailed me say that I'd been mentioned on here so I thought I'd take a quick peek. Really glad I did---it's a great site. I hope to pop in on a regular basis.1 point

I think Adam has the makings of a top class player. I even think he will make the Premiership and an ROI regular position. I do, however, feel that he has a lot more to learn yet and that another couple of seasons at this level will be good for the lad. He reads a game well. He positions himself well and he has a natural ability to find the net but much of that is because of the trust he has in those feeding him. Adam has good off the ball movement and finds himself in positions that he knows his wingers will cross to or his central midfielders will feed through to and that, for me, is where his success is coming from at the minute. The trust and understanding of those he has gelled with in the last couple of seasons is what makes him. He's a young lad with a few good years ahead of him but should stick around and learn to become the complete article with those he knows and enjoys working with.0 points

A.N.Other poster creditted Nick getting a start to Foran's absence through injury which is on the money and Nick's performances have seen him maintain his place in the starting line-up. No-one was being critical of Foran, on this thread at least.-1 points
