  1. Pele would hav done it but they couldn't trace his favourite movie "vodka galore" Sorry robby but thats not remotely funny. Here's hoping you go through your whole life never having to experience the pain of alcoholism and how it can affect, not only the alcoholic but those around them. you are absolutely correct. i apologise if i offended anyone. a moment of madness and a throwaway line i couldn't resist. i have seen alcoholism at closer range than a lot of people, so all i can say in mitigation is that some people deal with it the best they can. again, if anyone was offended, please accept my apology.

Are Inverness night clubs so far behind the rest of the world? having a "celeb" appearance is so 1990's Why not take your prices down and stop hiring no-body reality tv tw*ts to fill your venues
  3. Scottish football clubs must lose the tag of being a ?business? before their true value is recognised, according to football finance expert Stephen Morrow, who will be speaking in Stornoway and Inverness. The University of Stirling academic believes that the traditional ownership model and its emphasis on business performance has failed Scottish football clubs. Morrow will present his argument on Wednesday 8 December at the Western Isles Hospital in Stornoway from 6.30pm and on Thursday 9 December at the Auditorium, Centre for Health Science in Inverness from 5.30pm. This free lecture, open to the public, is entitled The business of Scottish football ? time for a new model? Time for change in footie business model?

    It's not a ribbon - it's a broad band.
  5. Point taken, I am not 100% confident TB & MM will stay though and only a fool would be.
  6. I bet when DS is interviewed, he says he's off to join the Edinburgh FF for more money.

It would appear that Mark Wright is wrong, not right and it's wrong of Mr Wright to write to the wrong papers to suggest that he was right, and wrong of him to accuse ICT fans of being in the wrong by berating Mr Wright. Right or wrong Mr Wright, you better watch out before the reverend gives you your last rites you wrong Wright writer of right wrong Wright rubbish.
  8. We have only ever parted with managers three times where it wasn't that a bigger team was calling for them, Sergio Baltacha, Charlie Christie and Craig Brewster (part deux). As partings with managers go I'd far rather it was because a richer (choosing my words) team wanted them than because of circumstances at our own club. Terry and Mo have been here almost two years and have laid down roots but that shouldn't stop them moving on again. They would be foolish if they let sentiment get in the way of their thinking. It is better to regret the choices you have made than to regret not making choices. I personally believe that Terry and Mo should choose to remain at ICT and see through what they have started, that way they'll never say they have unfinished business. What we have here is really amazing and with a fully fit squad to choose from and a couple of signings in the window we really can be pushing for a Euro slot. Unlike other Scottish teams I have seen over the years getting into European competition I believe this team has the skills, workrate and character to achieve something should they get that opportunity. What happened to the Gothenburg team in the '80s? All went on to become legends of Scottish football. If you need some inspiration Terry, look at Sir Alex. That's how I see you in a few years.
  9. A uefa place or the Scottish cup final
  10. TB is free to do whatever he wants to do or doesnt want to do, as it will not be with the Dons. He is a living God and he will certainly not be touching a leper colony like Pittodrie. Not worried at all.

So the guy gets from Parkhead and boards a train at Queen St with the intention of heading to Inverness. It could well be that he made it for the 17.41 train but how many of our fans got that one. Either way he was assaulted and decided not to travel. I assume he took his father to hospital to get the broken hand checked. So, assuming he did my reckoning is that he wouldn't have gotten to Glasgow airport before 9 pm. The last flight from Glasgow to London on a saturday is at 19.35 which he'd be expected to board at 19:05. In my book, with my limited knowledge of the guy, he's an out and out liar.

Aye right, cos ICT fans are reknown for their hooligan ways and causing trouble. You're more likely to get a pint given to you then one thrown at you by our fans. The man is a LIAR.
  15. Terry will speak when he is good and ready, not when someone demands it on an internet forum.
  16. You could probably list 101 things that draw fans to come see ICT, but what's more important is the reason they keep coming back. Nope, not SPL football...it's the sense of belonging and how quick fans are to welcome new fans into the fold (even if it's not obvious some times). I also think that is very much a Highlands thing and few other places could replicate it. Up here we think nothing of giving a stranger a nod in the street or saying good morning or whatever...do that down south and you'll get a strange look...or worse. That extends into the football. All any stranger has to do is make it known he is willing to talk ICT and they're made welcome and invited to join your company. That seed of interest is nurtured and people are accepted into the fold without prejudice...what's even better is the fact that we, as a community, tend to do it without thinking about it. This forum is full of people who's "First Encounters" would have been made in the above manner. From there, I think people just get addicted to the ICT mentality...an enigma much like the Loch Ness Monster in that, we all know it exists, some claim to have seen it, but nobody really understands it!!!
  17. In an age of poor Scottish National teams (the worst in memory) , , ordinary performances by Scotlands top clubs in Europe , and a general lack of local talent (compared to years gone by ) ICT stand out as a shining light of success , an amazing rise from obscurity to rubbing noses with the elite clubs of the SPL . They have ruffled the Old Firm and have graced the Scottish League like a breath of fresh air . If you have had anything to do with the Highlands or Inverness at some stage in your life , why wouldn't you follow the fortunes of this small but very impressive and exciting Club ?
  18. I tell ye, it was the priest that told me to pray like this.
  19. Right Call! Although the pitch is fine it's the surrounding areas and sarefy of fans. Plus it's Freeezing

Englands bid was based around what is already in place. The stadia, the infrastructure, the passion for the game, how much our economy will benifit etc. The winning bidders presentations were based around what they will do. Provide jobs, take people out of poverty, put something back into the game etc. Thats why they lost. Quatar are going to build 9 new stadia in kit form and dismantle them and ship them to poorer nations after the competition. Russia are going to build stadiums that will become footballing academies of excellence and hotels that will be the envy of the world. England will use the stadia they have and put folk up in university hostels. Russia and Quatar had real down to earth people making their presentation and talking about what they could do to benefit the game across the world. England had David Beckham with a wee story about his granda. The BBC could have exposed the whole FIFA committee as peodo's and it wouldn't have made a blind bit of difference to the vote.
