  1. I know some people get worked up by the whole spelling and grammar thing, but how did you know he was saying it "Donut" and not "Doughnut"?

  2. I find it very short sighted on the part of the BBC, and more than a little disappointing given that they are one of the bigger media partners. OK, so we only had 2 games, but given the circumstances I'm sure the SPL would have been happy that they use a little more footage than might normally be the case and it's not as if we had 2 games that were short on goals and/or action for them to discuss. They could have had some discussion about the league as a whole, ICT's unbeaten run on the road, why Aberdeen are toiling at the bottom, Hearts hot on the heels of Celtic, Brown going to Aberdeen and how it might effect Motherwell, Hibs struggling to push into the top 6. What's more, with the ongoing debate/discussion surrounding league reconstruction they could easily have filled another chunk of time with that subject, not to mention the discussion around the cause of their only being 2 games and a look at how the weather effects the football calendar and the subject of the winter break. All topics that could have been thrown in at the last minute without the need for too much preparation. The subjects/material were there for them to produce a show which would have been a welcome change from the usual OF dominated offerings we get every other week and they blew it.

  3. Thought I would interject with a jambo post, overall thought it was a really good game tad frustrating from our point of view but thems the breaks. Gotta say I was very impressed with your lot, good movement and passing especially Rooney who was excellent at occupying a couple of defenders a time. Im surprised Hayes is being criticised as much on here as I thought he did ok especially as he didnt get much service and I dont think defending is his game from what iv saw and heard of him. You have the basis of a pretty good side there and remind me a wee bit of Leveins Utd a season or so back, Solid CH's, reliable midfielders fast wide players and a confident striker. As for us, the press the last three games have bummed up big Kev, Iv slaughtered him as he could do a lot more than he does, and despite all the comments above that was one of Temps poorer games over the last month. Against Aberdeen he was absolutely unplayable, they were and are mince but even 3 on 1 they couldnt handle him. Rudi was quiet too otherwise we played well apart from the first 25 minutes. Good luck for the rest of the season except against us!

  4. Robbo was raving about him when he was at Stenhousemuir a few years ago & I remembered posting this (hope link works??) http://community.cal...h__1#entry38498 Yes you did and it was suggested at the time that we maybe should have put up thee cash for him but, I wonder, would our fans have been so patient in the wait to see him on the pitch. After all its taken over three years for him to bedcome a first team player at Tynie.

  5. There was just the one lad who had clearly been a tad heavy on the heavy or whatever his tipple was and he let himself, his mates and his team down. I commented on another thread about how good it was to see folk who are new to ICT taking their youngsters to the game and it is precisely this sort of behaviour that will stop people like that coming back. I understand top six's point that there are more uplifting things to talk about but there are plenty other threads on that. Ironically, it is his very point that makes this thread so valid. On a day when the team completed the quite stunning acheivement of going through 2010 unbeaten away from home in the league, we have someone in our midst who decides to spend his time shouting foul mouthed abuse at Hearts fans and slagging off our highly respected captain, but who doesn't join in the fantastic, almost constant supportive and good humoured chanting that others close by were. I think that is worthy of a thread. If you can't give support to your team on such a historic day then when can you! Those sitting a little further away would have been excused for thinking it was Neil Lennon sitting there on his day off

  6. I was actually going to come on here today and start a topic about this very thing because it annoyed me that much, so quite glad someone else noticed this mornoic behaviour by some of our so called 'supporters' on Saturday... Infact, I wouldn't call these idiots supporters. Just complete clowns. A group of boys sat in the row behind us at the game on Saturday, and one in particular with ginger hair, was constantly referring to Ritchie Foran throughout the game as a 'donut'... I don't think I heard him shout anything positive about the team the whole game. Seriously, what is that all about? We are currently enjoying our most successful spell as a club ever, and still you get people shouting nonsense like this. Let's be honest we all know who the donut is here, and it sure ain't Ritchie Foran. Then my mate, sat next to me, turned round and questioned why the hell he was calling our club captain a donut when we were drawing 1-1 away to the current 3rd best team in the country? He mumbled something like 'am I not entitled to my opinion' before of his aggro mates, another idiot, stood up and told my mate to 'sit the **** down' or something along those lines. As someone else above said, even after it calmed down, they started it up again. They weren't supporting the team on Saturday, just shouting ridiculous comments aimed at our own players. And when Foran got taken off mid way through the second half, whilst the rest of us were chanting his name, the ginger destroyer behind us thought it would be better to change the words to 'ritchie foran is a donut'... It was just cringe worthy listening to him. Saturday for me was one of the best and most enjoyable away games of the season so far, the crack on the train on the way down and back was first class, was a quality game of football and overall another brilliant away day following ICT. Just a shame the day was slightly marred by these morons, who's aim seemed to be not to enjoy the game of football and get behind ICT, but to simply cause trouble and abuse people. I also would be happy never to see any of them at at ICT game again, our club does not need 'supporters' like this. And I also know at least 2 of them that were in the group are members of this forum. Lets see if they show their true colours and come out and justify their/their mates behaviour. I somehow doubt they will.

  7. Happy Christmas and here is a reminder of how far we have come in two years: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1123157/Breaking-point-Sacked-Caley-boss-Brewster-lost-trust-respect-dressing-room.html That was some mess to sort out and the message to family and friends and visitors is get down to the Stadium on Boxing Day and Wednesday 29 December and show the boys they are highly respected for having done just that. They have created a bit of history that is unlikely to be repeated for some time beyond the old firm. We must now not lose the desire to keep it going in Perth nor to underestimate Elgin City. 8. I had initially thought 9th or 10th. Now after the start we've had and having seen how utterly abysmal Celtic are I think we can take 2nd spot behind Hearts.

  10. As for your remark about the hearts fan with the flag, did it ever cross your mind that he might be northern irish and proud to be? Would i get the same abuse throw my why if i had a welsh flag at a match? Erm... Ok.

  11. Our Govan jaggie decided we get another train, keep drinking and end up somewhere random. Seems daft enough but the worrying part is we left a perfectly good pub, after already making our way back to Glasgow, to go and get on the mystery tour. Was a good laugh though, especially when he got hell of his wife when he called on route to Wemyss bay! Aye - Caley away with Terry & Mo! :ictscarf:

  13. Only 1 idiot getting carried away, the rest of the SO called supporters were telling him to shut up,calm down. You are right,it was cringe worthy but hardly worth a mention, let alone posting a thread.I don't see how you can say that the group of lads were all acting like morons when that just wasn't the case......

  16. Because I was there to watch a game of football, and support my team... not to get into an argument with a group of idiots who had nothing positive to say about anything. It would have achieved nothing. Thats why I chose to ignore you all. And I would also like to point out I don't even know the opening poster... so quite funny how someone else noticed your and your mates disgraceful behaviour.

  17. For me the biggest problem for Scottish football just now is still our mentality. This attitude some people have of "win at all costs" and worst of all "don't get beat" is something that has slowly ruined and continues to ruin the game here. Spain used to have a similar way of playing but through time, especially with the reformation from people like Cruyff they got rid of the "don't get beat" mentality to playing football in a way that was indeed, playing football. And where are Spain now? Of course I'm not saying that if Scotland changed it's mentality that they'd become world champions but I feel that there's some problem when the manager of the national team sees no problem with playing with no strikers against a rather mediocre opponent such as the Czech Republic. And with that mentality we won't be seeing Scotland at a World Cup for quite a long time. There's a saying in the Latin countries that in Britain you teach players to win by any means, while elsewhere they teach how to play the game, and winning comes later. That's the mentality we should have. Was it not Mourinho of all people who said that when you are not afraid to lose you have more chances to win? I'm quite glad to also say that ICT are a side who try and win every game and not try not to lose, even against the bigger clubs. That's almost certainly one of the reasons that the club was promoted last season and are still on such a good run (it's also interesting to note, that Brewster's "don't get beat" attitude is essentially what the relegated the club in the first place). A 10 team SPL will do nothing to help the standard of football in this country, if anything it'll more likely make it worse. A bigger SPL is the way forward, where young players can grow, teams can not be afraid to have a go and the standard of Scottish football can get back to a decent level again.

  19. Can't agree SP. No cameras, no 4th official, no retrospetive cards, no rescinding, no video replays at all...just 2 teams, 3 officials, lots of controversy and lots to talk about after!!! Support KFP - Keep Football Pure Ryan Esson saved his bacon by saving the penalty. What if Miller had scored? Would Murray then have said : Sorry boys - I cost you a couple of points there. Nothing we can do about it now, I'm afraid. One point?

  22. Well it looks as if i have opened a right can of worms witht this one. First of all HC it was not the lads infront that started the exchange of words on saturday, it was your mate the so called "ginger destroyer". Never in my life at a football match have i disliked the person a few seats down from me more. His choice of words were unacceptable and completely distastful and he should have been ejected from the ground IMHO. As for your remark about the hearts fan with the flag, did it ever cross your mind that he might be northern irish and proud to be? Would i get the same abuse throw my why if i had a welsh flag at a match? Next time you and your mates go to an inverness game try and support your team. Get behind them and cheer them on, not moan at them and critises.

  23. I'll say again, 1 guy reacted badly after someone he didn't know decided to make something out of a nothing remark. Some of what was said after was well over the top and he was told that by the rest of us. The only reason I got involved was to prevent the situation getting any worse. There were 10 of us at the game on Saturday, all ICT supporters and have been since the telford street days. There was nothing but encouragement (and nail biting) from everyone else. 10 of us on a stag day... it got messy (ask san miguel & the knowledge). Abuse at Hearts fans?? they had a red hand of ulster flag on show and deserved all the "abuse" they received. As for our right to be at the game, or, "these are the supporters we don't need" comments from you and your boy. I'm glad you are taking into context the time's we have followed the team around the country, the season tickets held in our group, when we turned out when it wasn't fashionable to follow ICT in the lower divisions. I'm all for us encouraging kids going to the game but I fail to see why you think you have any right to decide we aren't the type of the fans the club needs. Especially since it seems you don't have all the facts of the situation and decided to draw your own conclusion from afar. and you are? 3rd game of the season and proud of it. I go to the games I can make it to, unfortunately not as many as I'd like. Probably why you haven't seen me posting on here too often recently, does that make me less of a supporter?

  25. Surely these idiots can be identified. I wasn't at the game but if I was and I new who they were, I would have their names off to Kenny Cameron straight away. Come on someone - do your duty!

  26. Your first post and this, for the most of it, are inaccurate. He is mouthy, always has been, but didn't kick off until he was getting pulled up for a throw away remark about a miss placed pass. No a welsh flag is fine. To be honest I wasn't bothered with the flag but I can understand why others would be. Again, you are trying to use a one off incident regarding 2 people to reflect another 9 fans who were sitting enjoying the match and encouraging the team.

  27. First off "the ginger destroyer" is my mate, those who know him will see him in the Innes before every home game. I am the "idiot" who told your mate to "just sit the **** down" because, without sounding childish, if he kept his mouth shut in the first place the flippant remark would have just been that. Instead he decided to mutter some rant which achieved the argument he was looking for. He then gets "his friends" to post their discontent on a forum about a nothing incident that he started. Yeh "the ginger destroyer" went over the top to make his point about having his own opinion but he didn't take kindly to someone picking out a comment about a bad pass. ffs "donut" is hardly the strongest language you will hear at in a football stand. "They weren't supporting the team on Saturday, just shouting ridiculous comments aimed at our own players" I'll let the idiot remark slip but talking absolute p!sh just to try and make you look like a good guy shows exactly what you are all about. The rest of us were telling our boy to pipe down just as I told your mate... there was no need for it to have happened in the first place. I'd love to know why you weren't this chatty at the game and instead decided to post on the internet 2 days letter when everyone else has forgotten you and your mate existed.
