  1. Seven wins in a row and now 6 points clear. I'm certainly in the camp of it would be good for the Highlands to have 2 SPL teams. Of course we get the Highland derbies back, and extra income from the attendances, as well as the excitement of the derby, but It occured to me the other day though, that there is one other massive benefit. We will have another ally in the fight against a 10 team SPL. If two teams are needed to block it, then with other Chairmen started to stutter, then ourselves and County could be key IF everything goes to plan for us and them until the end of the season. Years ago, Highland teams were blocked from joining the SFL, and even when we joined, there were many lowlanders not happy to travel 'such long distances'. How fitting would it be, that in a years time, it could be 2 Highland teams that dictate the whole structure of the league. That really would be 2 fingers to all the prejudiced ones who don't want us there!

  2. The Southerners are already dreading what seems the likely scenario. Imagine all the drivel clubs would come out with having to travel to the deepest depths of the dark Highlands 4-6 times a year, I for one would love it.... as long as they don't ever finish above Inverness.

  3. I can't say I detected too much horror in the bit of Open All Mics that I heard OCG but I wasn't across it all afternoon. What I did hear was pushing on towards half past five whilst on my way back from Dingwall and Chic was speaking what I thought was very positively about the possibility of two Highland teams in the SPL. But there will indeed be those who will already be wringing their hands in despair at the thought since of course we all know that it's FAR further from the Central Belt up to Dingwall/Inverness than it is in the opposite direction. I must say that I was very impressed by County yesterday - they really look the business and I hadn't seen them for a few weeks since the fixtures are so badly arranged this season with both teams either at home ro away far too often. On the other hand I didn't quite see the entire game since there were times when I was seriously distracted by Steven Pressley's astonishing dress sense which kept reminding me of Dr Who. If these were his working clothes, what on earth does he wear on a night out?

  7. Bounce games are, I am reliably informed, internalclub games where no tackling is allowed. So, Mods:- Can we consider a bounce thread where no negative challenges are allowed and then anyone can try out any prose or ideas or cockeyed thoughts that come into their heads without fear of being contradicted or contra-indicated and without disturbing the rhythm of another poster's day or the hang of his/her hairdo, or feeling debased, deflated, depressed, delineated, declined, demonic, dictated-to, detached from reality or....wait for it..... diabolical. And no get any red dots. OMG. The Pimple would have a field day but...sigh...would also be unbearable to live with. I am delighted to offer this suggestion to derail you and so that you can start the planning process now. What? Oh, you are welcome. RSVP

  8. I hope County keep winning, as long as ICT do! Having two Highland teams in the SPL would be great (and infuriate those pesky central belters!). I don't think having ICT go down and County coming up would be good for neither team, league or region though.

  9. Your "patter" is getting rather predictable and boring. Throw around so much BS that eventually something comes right and the rest is laughed off as wind-up...or, as you are doing here, take a piece of news and try and create something that never existed to try and prove some point that doesn't need proving. Butcher has no history of rushing players back after injury....in fact, he could almost be accused of the opposite. Or have I just taken the bait on another of your fishing trips!!!

  12. Perhaps it would be beneficial to the Highlands to have two SPL teams. However, it won't happen - County ain't going up.

  13. Your responses are becoming more and more tedious and akin to a moderator who can never say anything negative at all. You used to have balls but now you are well and truly in the realms of the blinded loyal. :rotflmao: Where did I even mention Butcher in all of this - as far as I am concerned it is a problem that has been around fer years - we always push the players to play before they are 100% - going back to Niculae. My main point was at the end but it is possible that you never even got that far before launching in to a personal abbeartion becos I am clearly more prone to being honest and controversial than the shell that you sadly have become. At least I bring debate, humour and stimulation to proceedings - Or have I just taken the bait on another of your fishing trips!!

  14. Of course it would be the correct thing to have both ICT and County fighting it out together in the SPL for a multitude of reasons. However, how far away is such a reality? Much better odds of ICT climbing up the table clear of relegation than County maintaining their heady heights into the New Year.

    • Aaron Doran - Club Legend
Shameful: Thanks to Shane Sutherland, the generosity of friends, fans, former colleagues and opponents, Aaron has now had his operation. However it has emerged that he had posted on Instagram regarding his sad dismissal and treatment from the Board of Inverness CT who have treated Aaron in a similar way to which they have been treating the fans. Let's not forget that Aaron was due to have a testimonial for his service to the club.

    • Administration pending unless...
Administration pending, unless... How can we go from SupercaleygoballisticCelticareatrocious in the year 2000, to Scottish Cup Winners in 2015, playing in Europe and just 9 years after lifting the Cup; Administration. Mismanagement and our demise was hastened by the appointment of Scot Gardiner. Ever since then, ludicrous decision making has seen our stock plummet whilst 'shady' dealings were investigated. The failed Concert Company, the Battery Storage, the Statkraft contract have all ended badly leaving the club facing insolvency.

That's another fine mess you've got us into.

      Chairman Ross Morrison resigns

Nothing official from the club as we speak, but the Inverness Courier are running with a story that Ross Morrison has resigned at 18:00 tonight 3rd June.  More to come as this story develops, but most fans are looking for more heads to roll.

Speaking exclusively to The Inverness Courier, Mr Morrison said he is leaving now because of the aftermath of the Fife move. “I believe it [the move to Fife] is the best way forward and I have to stick with my beliefs,” Mr Morrison said. “This is the reason I'm stepping down now.”

Reflecting on his time with the Caley Thistle, Mr Morrison said: “My six-year tenure with the club has had some great and some not so great times but through everything I was immensely proud to be the chairman of the club and clubs I’ve supported for 50 years - I was a Jaggie by the way.

“I would ask the fans to rally round the club at this time and show their support by not only purchasing their season tickets but also getting involved directly with the club to see how they can help.

“Hearing fans saying they would prefer administration to training the first team in Kelty sent a shiver down my spine. Administration is a desperate thing to happen to a club and must, at all cost, not happen to ICTFC.”
