  1. A twenty foot high hoarding running the length of the pitch on the west side with a full stand mural painted on it would give aa better effect than a new empty stand

David Davis wore the shirt with pride and should go with our best wishes. Both parties knew the terms and conditions at the outset. It would have been a bonus if he had stayed. I do not accept that we will be unable to function well without him. Next week we miss him and Richie but replacements will be desperate to win points for the club and establish themselves. If Owen gets himself fit he will provide extra competition in February.

Rasper was in the same class as Mrs Mantis at the Nicolson in Stornoway (there's a photo of him on my site http://www.caledonianfc.co.uk/players.htm away at the bottom). Neil got a run in the team in div 1 around 2001.
  5. I do like the story about Dougie Imrie being refused entry to G's because he was too drunk..... Dougie: Do you know who I am? Bouncer: Aye, your Dougie Imrie, now f*ck off!
  6. Could just charge £10 max for a ticket and fill the stadium, £15 for dunfirmline with an attendance of 1,601 was woeful. it's on tv so we need to get as many fans thru the gates as possible. £10 adult £5 OAP/Under 18 £free 1 x Kid (with an adult ticket) if we got it on the forums, on the radio, in the paper we'd fill the north stand and the main....even give free tickets to the schools. butts in seats is what ICT needs.
  7. Let's take care of business at East End Park first before discussing what might be a non topic come this time next week.
  8. Some people on here have short memories. With 2 highland teams in the SPL it would bring another derby into the sights of TV execs generating more income, more advertising, a general football buzz around the area creating more new fans for both teams. Why would a ICT vs Ross County derby in the SPL be any more appealing than say Motherwell v Hamilton from last season. ICT and Ross county are diddy teams when all is sed and done...with VERY limited appeal..so why people think it would be so appealing outwith the 6000 or so that would turn up for the game, is beyond me
  9. Look how many on here who were creaming themselves when County got to the Scottish Cup Final....and vowing to lend them their support. Never have i felt so dissapointed in ICT "fans". Maybe im an old fashioned "fan" but in my day...you chose a team and stuck with them, and you certainly would NEVER turn up to support your local rivals at any game...let alone a Natioanal Final. I m not a subscriber to this whole support the Highlands team mentality that seems to be rife up here. And i am 90% certain that IF County made it to the SPL...ICTs income would take a hammering!
  10. I'm really quite surprised at how many people on this forum view County's elevation to the SPL positively. Make no mistake - such a scenario would be to our detriment and could quite feasibly lead to part-time football in Inverness. Don't underestimate the dangers (to ICT) of County entering the SPL, which fortunately, as Smee points out, is actually quite unlikely.
  11. County second half of the season will crumble, im pretty sure of it. Personally....i dont want to see them anywhere near the SPL as ICT are currently the biggest draw in the region...last thing we need is to be fighting for scraps with another team! Yes, we would get two good gate reciepts twice a season, but i fear the overall drop in revenue should county also make it to the spl would be greater!
