  2. What really disturbs me about Lennon is the aggressive nature of his protestations. Plenty of managers get worked up and animated (including ours), but with Lennon you always get the feeling he's on the verge of physically abusing whoever it is directed at. If anyone else acted like that in any other walk of life then they would quickly find themselves up on charges of breach of the peace and intimidation.

  3. OK, how about ICT offer a scheme whereby the team are "allowed" just 3 garbage home performances a season. For each dismal showing over and above that, there is a £10 rebate to season ticket holders, to be funded from the players and manager's bonus pots, and if that runs out then it's straight off their basic pay. Caley100 would be the garbageness judge, with his verdict being announced over the tannoy at full time and the shamed players having to run over to the exit gates to dish out the tenners in person.

  4. What a complete and utter f***y! I hear that after the cup semi final defeat and latest conspiracy theories against him Neil Lennon has decided to give up football management and become a professional darts player. Apparently he's good at throwing trebles and doubles.

  5. Reserve leagues do nothing to develop talent long term and tend to be full of guys who are not (and in some cases never will be) good enough for the first team. Appreciate the difficulties the age barrier brings but hope that it leads to clubs with 15/16 first team players being supplemented by youth. Had to laugh yesterday when young McGeoch came on for Celtic with minutes to go. He looked like he could do something but was denied the opportunity due to his managers ineptitude and ridiculously big squad of highly paid journeymen. Maybe this will force the issue a bit? As for the geography bit.........Inverness is still in the same place it has always been. Nothing changes. Just something that has to be worked around in lots of different ways when living and working in the Highlands.

  6. Someone said on Radio 5 live that Lennon had retweeted a comment from a fan that it was time for Celtic to get out of the SPL and away from its corrupt officials. That presumably would be to England and to officials who give Man Utd yet another penalty for Young diving against his former club and Chelsea a goal that none of the Chelsea players even claimed had crossed the line. You're welcome to head South, Neil - but please take your cheating pals in blue with you when you go.

  7. It is because a reserve league has those advantages for clubs with small resources that it has been done away with. The old firm have (up till now) been able to buy good new players to strengthen their team and given that the rest of us can't, they want to prevent us from developing our own talent. What the OF want the SPL want.

  9. Also, it has taken County 82 years to reach the SPL. Caley Thistle did it in 10 years. :fingers:

  10. Racking up tens or even hundreds of millions of pounds of debt with no intention of ever paying it back boils down to cheating and if clubs are able to get away with it by setting up a newco then it defeats the whole purpose of having a league competition in the first place. If the current club who are being linked with a newco are allowed to do so then i sincerely hope that there are severe implications for them. If there arent then i strongly think i would lose any urge to follow my team in a sham league. Given the choice i would rather watch my team in the Highland League than in an SPL that condones cheating The SPL is one of the most uncompetitive leagues in the world given that there were/are only two clubs capable of winning it, if it were to allow clubs to win leagues/cups based on cheating the tax system then it would make us even more of a laughing stock than we currently are at the moment!

  11. A game against Bristol Rovers again would be good. I might even make it to the game this time
