  2. As I have alluded to before it is what WE do that matters - we are still in Pole position and let's face it - it is ours for the taking. I would like to go to Dungwall though with it all feckin over.

  5. Congratulations to Hoggy for yesterday. Must have taken a bit of bottle to step back onto the pitch for his first SPL game in a year and a half, and being paired against the burliest striker in the SPL as well. Great game and a great way to complete your comeback.

  6. Great news, never bothered with a ST before, but after going to 10 home games this season its probably just a beneficial for me to get one for next year - especially if the price is frozen :)

  10. Whatever Adams does in football is undone by the fact that he is a complete arse. The players might have clean sheets but I bet he doesn't - w**ker!

  12. cant really argue with POY awards, especially Higdon .... but thought McCall or TB should have been Manager of Year. You can make a case for either, but looking at it without my ICT bias, I think McCall should have edged it. Motherwell have been excellent this year and well worthy of 2nd place. No disrespect intended to Johnstone, but QOS are one of those teams who tend to be a solid 1st division side so getting relegated and then bouncing back in style is not entirely unexpected. It also mirrors a certain team from the Highlands who went down a division and became the first team in years to bounce back from SFL to SPL at the first attempt - also with some style !!!

  13. It was a very good weekend for us, just a shame it wasn't better in that I wouldn't really have expected St J and County to get 4 points between them from two tricky ties. Saints chose a good time to get their first win at Tannadice for 13 years whilst County got the luck of a terrible linesman's call. Mind you, both of those teams will have been disappointed that we chose a good time to end our run of humpings by Motherwell.

  14. The last 18 months for him must have been a real struggle, mentally and physically but Saturday was his just reward. He was top notch, to jump straight back into the first team like that in what was a pivotal game in our quest for Europe must have been his biggest challenge yet but he battled along with the rest of the lads and got the result. Cant even hold much blame at him for the penalty, the Ojamaa tumble conned Collum once but not twice fortunately. Still plenty to do but if he carries on like that he will cement his place back in the starting line up. Im hoping he will be getting a new contract as well.

  19. that was quite a stunning game of footie. Just had a night out with a couple of gers fans who were telling me how poor the SPL was this year. Destroyed, so they were. Crowd could have been better, but crap, nah. There was little or nothing to be dosappointed about today but if you want to (potentially) be part of history, it might be a good idea to get your erse to Caley Park next week. Tell them davie sent you. Would get my erse down to 'Caley Park' next week but I really don't need any electrical goods. Think I'll go down the Longman instead to watch a game of football which may be of historical significance. Last time I looked the park was called the Tulloch Caledonian (Caley) Stadium much as you kingsmills folk don't like it. This is a tongue in cheek comment (no icons on iPad) ....lol Ach, you know what I mean. The inappropriate abbreviated term was caused purely by beer and ok, lots of gin.I get the feeling that, call it what you like, we'll both be in the same place next week.

  23. I see your point. I think, though, that Motherwell had so many good chances simply because they are, by SPL standards, a very good side, easily deserving of their position. Until I see the highlights I won't know for sure, but individual errors may well have played a part in the Motherwell goals - I'm terrible at processing these things first time round. What impressed me so much about Hogg, though, was the way he used the ball so intelligently out of defence - there was no long ball stuff yesterday, it was calm and composed building from the back. The praise for Shinnie is to some extent relative as he coped with Humphrey so much better than he has done in any of our other games against Motherwell this season. As for Meekings, not only was he switching back into a position that he hasn't played for most of the season, but he was up against the best Scotland player of his generation, who has been coming back into some of his old form recently. McFadden did score two, of course, but otherwise he didn't influence that much of the game, and this was partly down to how Meekings played him. So yeah, I think that while probably none of these players was flawless, they do all deserve praise for their performances yesterday.

  24. oooft, give the man a break. Just back from a career threatening injury and the sniping begins. He was good enough to captain Hibs and his balls were big enough to get on the park yesterday and fill a hole in our defence. Big plus from me.
