  1. Just letting you all know that a couple of schools have accepted my offer of tickets and between them are sending 40 kids and 5 teachers to swell the ranks. Thanks to old caley girl for helping sort this out.
  2. We get bigger crowds and more cash at home to Ross County than say Livi, Dumbarton, Hamilton or Falkirk So, yes I want County to stay up! It's also a message to the MSM that Highland football is alive and kicking! Not ONE but TWO Highland teams in the top league!
  3. I think the difference between the Dons supporters and the Hearts supporters is that the Dons supporters will make a noise. As there are going to twice as many of them than there were Hearts supporters in the semi-final, I suspect they will make quite a lot of noise. Should be a cracking atmosphere and we just have to do our best in contributing to that. It will be a great occasion and I just hope we can shift a few more tickets and give the team the support they deserve.
  4. Think you will find they do, it's maybe passed you unnoticed that our average home attendance is dropping each year and it's only games against the likes of County and Celtic that we now see decent turn outs In this financial climate and the state the Scottish game is in ICT need as much help as they can get because present home crowds can't sustain a top flight club forever Dougal Can see where you are coming from Dougal tbh but the OP poses a theory that actually Ross County take money from us through sponsorship etc? Away crowds definately seem lower since County joined the top league? I love the derbies but there's maybe more to this than gates?
  5. No but consistently bottom six

ADDITIONAL INFO Additional Pick Ups and Drop Offs We are happy to pick up and drop off fans who are on the route to games. Unfortunately due to the tight margins which we operate on travel costs we are unable to provide discounts for shorter/one way travel. IMPORTANT: Can those who book seats and subsequently change their minds about travelling please ensure they call to cancel their booking. We have unfortunately not been able to take bookings for people intending to travel as we believed we were full and then had no shows on the day of travel. Not only does this cost us money, but it is also denying fellow fans the opportunity to use the services we provide. Thank You.
  7. Best bit of business was getting us all together in one section. Our players have seen a big stadium full of opposition fans before. Have they ever seen 8000 (fingers crossed!) ict fans behind them en masse? Hoping that gives them a lift.
  8. I make that 10, oops I mean 11
  9. According to sky sports news he was definately sacrificed! So we can breathe!
  10. I am really pleased that the Dons are selling so many tickets. Every ticket they sell benefits our coffers just as much as theirs. I suspect there will be about forty thousand of their fans to our seven or eight thousand but so what. Parkhead will be pretty full, there will be a great atmosphere and both clubs will get a great financial boost. In our case, about a tenth or more of our annual turnover. Who knows, we might even bring home the first piece of major national silverware to go to the Highlands.
  11. Spot on. I think it's a really good effort and could be something which could be worked up as an anthem for the club. In the context of a match you are only ever going to have a couple of verses at most being sung so it is the right length. The words are straightforward and easy to remember and therefore more liklely to be sung. The problem is the chorus. for a song sung at games, you can't have any instrumental break before the chorus. I also don't like just using "Caley" over and over again. Apart from the fact it is not very inspiring it is bound to jar with a certain section of the fan base. Something along the lines of... Caledonian Thistle Caledonian Thistle Caledonian Thistle We love you just might fit the meter of the song. I think we could be on to something here. Certainly far better than "Bring it on home" and other suggestions. In judging the suitability you have to ask your self, can you imagine belting out the song, standing shoulder to shoulder, holding your scarf above your head and gently swaying to the rhythm of the tune? With this song the answer for me is a resounding "yes".
  12. A bit like playing at pittodrie then remind me of the score please.........
  13. 15 minutes on the pitch. According to BBC, NI haven't scored in an away friendly for 8 years. Edit to add : and Cyprus haven't scored a goal of any form for a year. So perhaps 0-0 was always the likely outcome.
  14. I hope they go down tbh. Then MacGregor walks away and they go into administration. Nobody deserves to lose the team they support. So I then hope they are liquidated, form a Newco County, start back in the Highland League and slog it out with the likes of Strathspey Jags and Fort Bill to avoid the bottom placed spot every year. Hello down there ;)
  15. Good. Is it bad to hope he just stays there?
  16. We need them, the derbies give us that extra incentive in a league campaign, as well as serving up fond memories such as last week. They may be our rivals but lets be realistic here... Id want Adams to get sacked more than County to get relegated.
  17. I would wish them to stay up but be forever in our shadow!
  18. Scotrail were kind enough to offer us a third train should we want or need it. Unfortunately CJT are not in a position to take this on for a range of reasons. Will be running 2 trains and no more, even if train 2 is full. However as it stands there is more than enough room on train 2 for supporters and we would love to see you onboard. Remember it includes onward travel! Prices are £30 adult / £10 U16s. Please book by emailing [email protected] stating how many adult / child tickets you need along with names and a contact number. We are hoping to have a paypal set up to book tickets with shortly. Thank You.
  19. It appears that only 3,500 tickets have been sold so far which to me seems disappointing - only 700 per day on what you would expect to be the busiest days for selling tickets. If we can't get people to support the team now then we never will. I have a business in the central belt and will happily contribute £1,000 to pay for train and match tickets for 40 school kids and 4 adults. I've been in touch with my old school this morning to organise this. Surely there must be hundreds of similar businesses around (or with a link to) Inverness that could do the same? If 50 companies did this then that's another 2,000 youngsters, some of whom just might get hooked on supporting the team. Being in the central belt I'm not connected in the Inverness business community but if anyone does have business contacts can you suggest to them that they do the same?
  20. I heard County have a new sponsor next season. Southern Highland Institute of Technology and Enterprise. I am told their manager will also be sponsored by Global Offshore Banking as well as the S.H.I.T.E.
  21. Heard it's a done deal. They are changing their name to Council of Upper Northern Territory of Scotland and paying us to have their acronym emblazoned across our shirts.
  22. Totally agree with GJ. Even if not your cup of tea surely 10 out of 10 for effort due!
  23. Personally I think the club and CJT have done extremely well to secure 13 buses and two trains at relatively short notice. Companies like D&E will have the biggest portion of their fleet already earmarked months and possibly years in advance. They may hold a few for short notice hire but they certainly wouldn't want large numbers of coaches sitting in the pound not making money. On the point of subsidy I dont think we should expect any more from D&E than they already do for the club. On the point of availability os seats I'd reckon that, taking all seats available into account, there will be quite a few empty. Is there really such a difference between taking bus and taking train? I'd be happy with either. In fact I'd probably prefer the train. Get to Glasgow by whatever means and join the party. Wish I had the problem of working out how to get there. As it is I'll be working.
