Thanks Why are numbers on the decease............RIP numbers.
  4. I find it incredible reading some off the posts regarding our so called style of football ! Unless I am imagining it we are joint top of the highest tier of football in our country ! If anyone had said this would be remotely possible 20 years ago they would have been insane . Virtually any club and their fans apart from Celtic would be over the moon with our achievements . Seems to me a lot of our so called fans would rather we were playing primitive football and struggling at the foot of the table like our near neighbours ! I have noticed recently a lot less activity on this forum and quite frankly I am not surprised as it is quite depressing the level off negativity been shown. Start talking your team up not down all the time and just maybe we could get the feel good factor back . The players and the club deserve so much more than than this constant criticism !

Did he mention throwing the towel in ? or to coin a phrase Terry Towling
  6. Like Kilmarnock before them, St. Johnstone came up with a plan to frustrate us. I think people who are criticizing the first half performance need to remember that. We had all the play and Graham's goal was their first shot on target. We were in control and cruising till that point, and I think the shock of conceding a soft goal, coupled with some weary legs after three games in eight days, was why we were hanging on at the end. I've got to say that I was generally happy with our build-up play. Christie, Doran and Watkins were interchanging very effectively and finding lots of space between defence and midfield. The criticism of Mckay is completely unwarranted - there were several occasions where he made superb runs but the man on the ball made a mess of the final pass (or, on a couple of occasions, didn't even notice him).

Might as well start the topic now, save people posting their dismay on the matchday thread about how surprised and aghast they were about the size of the crowd for an Inverness CT home game. Terrible isn't it, where have they all gone, must be the merger and with County doing so well and the referendum and our poor form and John Hughes and the pies and the car park and well just anything really.
  8. Probably not , but when teams like Killie and saints come and get ten men behind the ball it does not make for entertaining football .When we scored the game opened up and at the end of the game most home fans seemed to go home happy !

Still a legend in my eyes. If anything, taking Hibs down makes him even more of a legend.
  11. Billy is always at the games, usually find 10CC sitting just along that row too.
  12. Never mind him....wanna see a proper Caley legend.....pic 69....Billy Urquhart......Back Row wearing the pink top and dark blue jacket!!

$100!? Scarlet, you're obviously doing alright with that pension!
  14. Completely unforgettable first half. Second half we seemed to inject a bit of urgency into our game. You don't normally see us counter attack as quick as we did for Doran's goal today but it was a refreshing hark back to older ICT sides. Really rapid attack down the left hand side and his pin point cross found Watkins about 8 yards out who took a touch and poked it underneath the body of Mannus who rushed out to close him down. Second goal was a bit of a cock up from a Saint Johnstone point of view. Bit of a tussle in the Saints right back area, I was a bit surprised when no foul was given to be honest, and the ball quickly found its way to Christie at the right edge of the box and he whipped a shot in beyond Mannus. At this point we were cruising. Thereafter we slowed the pace of the game right down and struggled to retain possession allowing Saints right back into things. I didn't see the goal as I was too busy looking at my feet. Last few minutes were somewhat panicky as we struggled to deal with crosses and there were some fairly hurried clearances from our defenders desperate to scramble the ball away to briefly relieve the pressure. Overall I think we deserved the win but it should have been more comfortable than it was. We allowed Saints back into things by taking our foot off the pedal and becoming somewhat negative when we had the ball. Mckay continues to cut an isolated figure up front. At least three times today he made an excellent run off the last man only for his team mates to play the ball to the other side of him and the chance was gone. It looked like he was getting a bit frustrated to say the least. Something just isn't clicking between Mckay and the rest of the team when it comes to bringing him into play.
  15. Where have I heard 55% before ?
  16. You'd think so (!), but actually these modern, portable defibrillators are really easy to use and very safe. The machine 'talks-you-through' the steps. One think many folk don't realise is that the machine won't deliver a shock if there's a 'normal' heart rhythm present....so you couldn't, for example, play a 'practical joke' and 'shock' a person who's fallen asleep!
  17. Which names have you not heard off, i might be able to help you out on them Ali Stark, Lewis Grant, Andrew Macrae and Ally Velzian. Cheers caleydawson. Starky i played CB with him 5/6 years he can also play CDM,RB and LB at a push, he can throw so far if you need a long thrower he is now in his second year in the U17's so this is his last season there so could sign for U20's at end of season, Lewis Grant is a full back who i haven't played against much but he is lanky and has a lot of pace of a typical full back haha. Andrew Macrae tall great pace lots of tricks can also change the tempo of a game quickly which is something you could need. Ally V now he is someone i have played football with aswell, he is quite small but what he lacks in height he makes up in his ability too turn an opponent inside out, he plays CM and is a lot like greg tansey in a way the way he can move the ball around the pitch is really good but he can be out-muscled really easily though which is something he would have to improve in his game There ya go Sneakboy hope you enjoy this little description.
