  1. Good post from Huisdean. I agree with others that it was a poor performance today and that yet again Carl Tremarco was the MOTM. What I don't agree with many on here is on the performances of Vigurs and Doumbouya. I thought Vigurs had a pretty good game and put in a good shift. Doumbouya worked hard all afternoon and whilst he does seem weak in the air, to be fair, he was being continually fouled every time he went for the ball. When it came to him lower, his first touch was very good but the problem for both him and Vigurs was that there was precious little happening in the space between them. Foran was spot on with the three substitutes although I think Mulraney should have been replaced at half time. It was just one of those days when it wasn't working for him and his decision making was poor, twice taking players on and losing the ball when Mckay had gone on the overlap. It was a brave decision to take Draper off but it was the correct one. Draper is usually one of the most dependable players in the side but I can't remember seeing such an anonymous performance from him. Mckay also had a bad day at the office. Doran looked good when he came on and was making himself available for the ball far more effectively than Draper and doing a lot more with it when he got it. He must be close to getting a start, but if he does it is not an easy call to say who drops out and where he would play. Key for me is having players making themselves available for Doumbouya and not leaving him so isolated. It may not have been the greatest game we've ever seen but at least we had 11 attempts on goal which is more than in most matches last season. The big downside for me was the crowd. After getting a big crowd against The Rangers and playing attractive football this season I was expecting the crowd to be close to 3000. We weren't even close to that and there was zero atmosphere.
  2. I would make a few changes although Foran appears to be sticking to his "choices" in the hope that they gel. FON WILLIAMS McKAY MEEKINGS WARREN TREMARCO KING POLWORTH VIGURS DORAN DRAPER FISHER
  3. Fon Williams Mckay Warren Meekings Tremarco Tansey Polworth Doran Draper King Fisher
  4. Just noticed that Adam Evans left Bohemians a few weeks ago. He has dropped down a league and is now playing for League of Ireland division 1 club, Shelbourne United. So far he has scored twice for his new club.
  5. I'm with PerfICT on this one.
  6. Strange how fans see some things differently. First of all, have to agree a poor game overall but cannot agree over some of the comments on certain players. The criticism of Vigurs by many is harsh as he certainly put in the effort as far as I was concerned and played himself out of some tricky situations well. While Polworth may not be playing in his best/favoured position, he needs to accept that he must learn to play there and not look so lost at times. He is after all a professional footballer. Dounbaye played a bit better and did win quite a few balls in the air. He was however continually fouled while challenging for the ball (Killie players using their arms to jump over him or wrap their arms around him) which made it difficult for him. Some posters have to remember where our strikers have come from and to expect them all to hit the ground running is simply not realistic. Remember how slow some of our best goal scorers started slowly (Wyness/Dargo/Mckay) so give them some time. Someone commented earlier that the subs were okay except Boden. Given he was on the field for the least amount of time, this was harsh and I thought he did okay and complemented Dounbaye. We seriously, in my opinion, need to experiment playing with two strikers. The reality is that too many players had a bad day at the office yesterday which I am sure they will admit. It also has to be understood that our new manager will make mistakes as that is the only way he will learn. Some things he has picked up such as better use of subs and trying to win/draw late on in games which his predecessor failed miserably at but worringly perhaps he has inherited some of Hughes stubbornness in playing certain player in roles they are not suited to or leave the team unbalanced.
  7. Fon Williams: 6 - apart from a poor flap at a cross late on, didn't play badly and very nearly got to the pen. McKay: 4 - worst game yet and gave away a daft penalty when the cross had been dealt with. Meekings: 6 - played OK. Picked up a booking "for the team". Warren: 6 - solid, but his distribution was pretty poor. Tremarco: 8 - easily our best player in defence and attack. Mulraney: 5 - a piece of magic in the first half to get away from 3 defenders, followed by a poor final ball. Caught in possession too often thereafter. You can see why Foran is reluctant to play him all the time. Tansey: 5 - not firing this season and lucky not to be booked. A decent shot in the first half. Vigurs: 5 - I felt he played better than most on CTO thought. There were a couple of heart-in-mouth moments deep in his own half, but he got a few good moves going. Polworth: 5 - can't fault him for effort, but he's not a wide midfielder and certainly not on the left. Was always too narrow. Draper: 5 - strangely quiet, but should not have been subbed. Doumbaya: 5 - got the goal, but only held the ball up on a couple of occasions. Goes down too easily. Doran: 7 - made an impact and a few decent shots at goal. King: 7 - also made a difference. Bowden: 2 - offered nothing. Foran: 4 - got this one all wrong. Midfield was a mess. Players substituted off were strange - Draper wasn't his usual, but was ahead of several others. Polworth on the left didn't work. Tansey and Vigurs holding doesn't work. Doumbaya was lucky to stay on, but I suppose decision vindicated by his goal. I suppose Foran should be credited for going for it after subbing Mackay for a striker. I have no idea what our formation was after that, but it worked out! Ref: 6 - for me, not as bad as some suggest. Penalty was right - clumsy challenge. He missed a few things, but I don't think the challenge on Doumbaya was a pen - there was a stronger case for Warren being clotheslined later.
  8. Not sure if I can face the highlights...but I'm pretty sure Warren should've had a pen too-was getting strangled in the box as a ball was coming in. Its already been said, so I won't dwell on it, but that was a poor show. special mention to Killies MOM - Andrew Dallas! The quality of Scottish referees is absolutely abysmal!
  9. I don't think anyone that was at the match will be watching it again tonight

  11. Well i thought choosing a man of the match today was a joke, sure Tremarco got the nod out of a bad bunch, but jeez they were shocking! So... i'm leading with a choice of the poorest players today( and there were a few) 1. Vigurs, couldn't be arsed and passed to no one so often. 2. Doumbouya, more ball control and touch from a blind walrus.( yes i've seen a walrus play) 3. Mckay( almost Mulraney,Polworth,Tansey,Warren,Draper...et all)
