  1. Fer fecks sake - nobody who has commented on his article is putting him down. Quite the opposite in fact. The only criticism is from me in that it would be good if all this positive action could be better communicated. The thing about this forum is that it is open to all fans regardless of age, location or view. To imply that people who read this forum and post on it are not "real" fans is, frankly, pathetic. It is good that our new Chairman takes the time to speak to individuals, but individuals speak for themselves only and the Chairman doesn't have the time to speak to everyone. The forum provides a platform for everyone to express their views and as a consequence it also gives us the opportunity to change our views in the light of what others have said. Speaking to a few individuals and to a few anonymous, self selecting "fans groups" does not give the wider view that a genuinely representative supporters body can do. Of course there is a place for discussion with more specific groups of supporters in order to address particular issues (such as the banning of some of the youngsters) but there is really no better source of getting the wider fan view than from this forum. A forum which that has. after all, been set up for the very purpose of letting the fans express their views.
  2. ICTFC are on a break from league action as they face Peterhead in the Irn-Bru Cup third round. The Caley Jags eliminated Aberdeen U20s in the last round in a 4-2 win; with goals coming from Riccardo Calder, Liam Polworth, David Raven and Carl Tremarco. 3. When we were in Division 1 on 2009/10, I remember many people saying (possibly correctly) that the team we won the league with was better than the one we were relegated with. Yes there was a few of duds like Lionel Djebi-Zadi, Andrew Barrowman (before he was punted) and Daniel Stratford, but it did include Jonny Hayes, Adam Rooney and Richie Foran, all of whom were probably the best players in the league at that time. Remember as well, the team we were relegated with had the likes of Felipe Morais in it, who was certainly no dud. Can't say the same about this season - Foran's flops last season would absolutely gub the current team. Imagine we plonked back in the Premiership tomorrow, who would you keep? Tremarco definitely, along with probably Connor Bell, Iain Vigurs and Owain Fon Williams as well as probably Seedorf and Trafford. The rest would be out of their depth in the Premiership, including Raven and Warren, both of whom look like their legs have gone. People can constantly make excuses about poor Robbo and his budget, but that doesn't account for signings players like Joe Chalmers, Coll Donaldson, John Baird, Alex Cooper and Mark Ridgers all of whom were known to be absolutely rotten. I refuse to believe they're the best players we could find. As well as that, George Oakley and Felitciano Zschusschen look absolutely garbage, especially the latter. Is this the worst Caley Thistle team ever? I'd say yes it is and the manager must take some of the blame.
  4. And Hughes reacted with good grace to that decision refusing to take training for two days then threw his toys out the pram for the remainder of his tenure.
  5. Baring in mind the current fare on offer on the pitch just now, I doubt any form of advertising will encourage new fans through the turnstiles. The advertising money may best be used for taxi's for the under performing members of the squad.
  6. Yngwie - the cordoned off sections were evident at both matches and had no relationship or proximity to the "incidents". Moray Jaggie is absolutely correct that there were damaged seats all over the stand nowhere near where the incidents took place. I personally had to move seats at both games due to the state of the seating. Like Chris a little bit of me dies every time the club issues a statement these days - needless, knee jerk and utterly depressing. However, these statements pale into insignificance when compared with the absolute state of our hand wringing/bed wetting contingent, falling over themselves to berate the youngsters or anyone who tries to add a bit of context to events that have been blown out of all proportion by the club, media et al . The board's time would be better spent investigating how we've found ourselves post-window with a plethora of defenders who can't defend and strikers who couldn't hit a coo's arse with a banjo.
  7. The seeds were sewn when the club got rid of a Scottish Cup winnng manager. The rest, as they say is history.
  8. -1 points
Kingsmills or Inverness Thistle Arena would do for me
  9. -1 points
Richie will do well at Elgin I am sure , I think there is potential in the lad
  10. Fer fecks sake - The Guy actually tries to communicate and move forward and still gets feckin shot down. Rae has been chatting to "real" fans - and feckin listening. As fer putting it on this forum - well better to discuss with the more realistic / positive fans than to be shot down on here.
