Aye, well taken goal it was too.... here's hoping this is what we can look forward to him doing in an ICT shirt ?
  2. I don't see any value add in signing Nick. Neat and tidy, plays the simple passes, not a ball winner, not a goal scorer, not anything we need right now, we are well covered in his department. I wish him well in his search to find what he is looking for, but it's not here. All of a sudden some folk are keen to take a step backwards. Been there, done that, move on.

I notice Jake scored for Ireland under 21s tonight, in a 2-1 defeat by Norway under 21s. Wish he could start finding the net for us!
  4. Would have been nice if they had approached us as well tbh
  5. Was it just me or did the tannoy seem a lot clearer on Saturday? I have heard in the past that part of the issue is not the tannoy in and of itself but also the settings the user has it on.
  6. Connor Bell is in the SPFL team of the week.
  7. Disappointingly I see from the County forum that The Doghouse has apparently approached their supporters club about doing some link up with them and running a bus on match days. It would have been good if we had done something like this.
  8. I was speaking with someone involved in the supporters club / travel club on Saturday and she mentioned that this is on the list of things to be sorted (she and others had gone round the ground with Graham Rae and he was making notes of things that needed to be improved/sorted out). The club isn't exactly rolling in it AFAIK but I wondered if maybe a local supplier could get involved and be "paid" with a wee feature in the programme masquerading as free advertising?
  9. Still have that top...it's my 'lucky cup top' - not that footy fans are superstitious or anything....if I'm heading to Belfast or Oswestry (or even Dumbarton..), I'll dig it out of the drawer.. That season's away top (both with/without the fans names) is, imho, one of the nicest designs we've had.
  10. There is no guarantee that a move abroad would benefit him since the Canadian Whitecaps are a tough team to get hired into. He would have to play higher and harder than he might get away with here and the pace is not as slow as people think. He nevr was a major contribuitor with nus the last time out and hardly is a dynamic runner so is he approaching the zenith of his career perhaps? Let him play a couple of games this year and see what develops. But I would prefer the up and coming young fella from the 2nd team.. MacKay isn't it -- there's a young player that deserves another shot and will thrive I feel. Cheers SP
  11. A short term deal at the right price for the club would seem sensible all round. He gets a chance to sell himself, we get a versatile player who would be useful if injuries or suspensions start to bite.
  12. I dont bother with dots. I doubt he would currently break into the first 11 at the moment however it is a squad game. I would say, we are very light in the central midfield position. At the moment we only have Vigurs, Polly and Trafford. Vigurs and Polworth are likely to pick up suspensions and niggles along the season so a strong squad is critical if we want to be successful. I would rather bin Cooper and bring in Ross who can cover both wide and central midfield position, especially now Doran is fit again. Also his flexibility may allow us opportunity to change formation during games. However, this is all dependant on him accepting a squad players wage, which is perhaps unlikely.
  13. To those lazily issuing red dots, surely it would be better to take just two or three minutes to explain why you disagree. Much less confrontational and far more enlightening.
  14. to those issuing the red dots. where would you play him and who would you leave out?
  15. I'm up for that. How short are you?
  16. Alex Fisher is not getting a great deal of game time at Motherwell. If we are looking for a big forward and we have any real ambition to mount a promotion push this season, we could do a lot worse than trying to get him on loan in the January window.
  17. The return of Doran was the highlight of the game - I was pleasantly surprised at how fit and lively he looked. Bodes well.
  18. Having attended the cup game this evening and walking to the shop just before half time we seriously need to sort the corners out of the stands it's just a big puddle.
  19. I am not a big fan of Dean Sheils but he has overcome a significant impairment to play professional sport at a reasonable level. For a moron of a fellow professional to mock him for that is a disgrace and, in my view, an eight match ban is about right.
  20. We had a top a few years back which we as fans paid to have our names on it.
  21. Would it be good for the club to give a different local school/youth club a set number of free tickets for the kids to attend a game and if a parent wanted to come along then make it a £10 for them to come also and entice new fans? There are plenty of empty seats and this won't change for a while. I think the club used to do it some time ago
  22. Agreed on the disabled area - just because someone uses a wheelchair they shouldn't be forced to sit down the front in the rain, although I do understand how it could be difficult to accommodate but putting them at the back of a stand isn't right either. Fortunately we are lucky that we don't fill our main stand so could somewhere introduce a platform area and sacrifice a few seats although it may mean relocating ST holders - problem is then does the club have lift access otherwise its yet another expense in a stadium that was never built that way? I'm also not certain on this but there may be lottery money available for modifications of this nature as its more than just football related but community also. The catering needs looked at, queuing in a system that seems to have no real order to it and service which is pedestrian and highly inefficient - you have a lack of co-ordination between the staff and too many doing too many things rather than defined roles - the food & drinks on offer don't really represent value for money based on the quality (or lack of) and I'm sure its got worse over the years. Tickets - it would be nice that on matchdays tickets for the next home game are available for sale either before and after the game, possibly with small reductions to try capture fans on a high who may have come along and seen a positive result. Advertising in advance of promotions etc - if I'm at a game I don't want to wait til a few days before the next match to know I can get a reduced ticket for my mate through an offer but need to turn up to get it before the day of the game - give the opportunity to get it when fans are there already and in advance. Make it easy for the customer especially those who travel distances to games.
  23. That will be another thread wanting him back next?
