  1. A letter has been delivered to CJT today (22nd March 2018) instructing the existing board to convene an EGM. The letter is backed, in name, by 37 society members. The purpose of the meeting shall be... to vote on the removal of all persons from the Society Board. to hold a fresh election to appoint members to the Society Board in accordance with the society’s rules. As I have said to people I have spoken with about this recently, it's not a witch hunt. The reason we are asking for the removal of everyone on the board at present is due to the numerous concerns and doubts over the legitimacy of their position/s. The first step in the society moving forward must be a board properly appointed by the membership. If those currently claiming a position on the board believe they are the people to take things forward, then there would be nothing stopping them standing for election along with anyone else who wished to put themselves forward. CJT now have 28 days in which to convene the meeting, communicate it's happening to to the membership and implement the process for the election.
  2. Nope not really. I think the lead up to the SC final was fab. There was the shop in town, The posters on the high street, the scarves on Inverness statues, open training sessions at the bught and meet the cup sessions. I am proud to have been a part of a lot of events at that time and the few weeks before and the few days after will live in my memory forever.
  3. They all were mentioned in a post on Caleythistleonline.
  4. Hi guys and gals... A quick hello from the South-West of France (Bordeaux, were the wine is better than the football since 2009, RHYMES). Myself a Tranmere Rovers fan, and therefore often look for your results with the links over the years on the player front. Will no doubt be across to see a match or two next season (who knows even back where you belong in the SPL)....one of my lads is coming to study for a year on an Erasmus year , he's a Liverpool fan , but will be suitably kitted out (club shop sent me his Caley Thistle shirt I got for his birthday)....perhaps should have got a bigger one to put a wee jumper underneath, but hey ho.... Hope all goes well , a Cup final win and a streak of good results in the League..... Tranmere have gone slowly down the drain , but who knows another May visit to Wembley may still be on the cards. You have two new fans....one on his way soonish.. Best of luck for the rest of the season!
  5. Charlie, I am truly gobsmacked by your overpowering gobbledegook, gubbing up the thread from Gallipoli to Geronimo's farm in Saskatchewan , Canada. Please, let the poor man alone. He seems to be the genuine article but he may be the world's most clever manipulator as well; being able to generate waves of humour in some or even irritation and/or boredom in others . Take it all with a pinch of salt and await developments with bated breath. Haud yer wheesht , man, and listen and learn. Aye! That's the ticket. So Blair doesn't have your highly expressive, voluminous and voluptuously validating superiority on all things related to the spoken English word but he has as much right as anyone else on this forum to express himself in any reasonable way he chooses. Surely it's what he is trying to enunciate, rather then the form or context in which he does this, that matters. If your sky-high.er education allows you to sift the wheat from the chaff with such ease then WHY do you need an interpreter to get it when he speaks? So you are bored and we are s-o-o-o upset about that. If so, then the answer is simple......just b--gger off to Buffalo. No need to read the thread at all. Or even to put the new poster down by dumping a ton of bricks on his head. After all, you do NOT own this site. What if a wee birdie landed on your shoulder and, in a sepulchral whisper told you that Mr. Blair was ...er...autistic? For how long would you wear your sackcloth and ashes before rueing the day you eschewed diplomacy for impetuous pomposity. I view Blair with mixed emotions and I might be persuaded in due course to assume that some of his statements maybe should be viewed with some scepticism and a wee little pinch of salt. Except that it's early days and what IF he has a lot of MONEY or has contacts who do have a lot of money? And he really does want to spend it on CaleyThistle? .OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH! Scary, what? Who cares if it's him who saves the club financially and from desperate obscurity, or Valdimir Put-the-Butin who does it, so long as someone does. Aye.
  6. Make it so....comrade ?
  7. Why didn't they do the sensible thing and restart the game after the rain stopped? One of the fundamental weaknesses of cricket is that, if they HAVE to stop because it rains, they don't rearrange the lost time. I mean, this is RAIN we're talking about. It tends to be fairly common on our planet so allowances should surely be made for it. The frequency with which cricket matches are decided by the randomness of simple precipitation is quite astonishing and the Vera Duckworth Method (which sounds more like a means of contraception!) appears not to be all that reliable. In test cricket they don't even have that and I believe, for instance, that England won The Ashes in ??2005??, simply because rain stopped play.
  8. The Caley Club bus is going there I think so Im sure youll all be welcome?
  9. Glad to hear you are ok ... was it the medication that did you in in the first place
  10. Nah, not in the Wyness class
  11. Well he was feckin usless!
  12. Agreed OCG. I did think the SC final was marketed pretty well in 2015 and of course it carried the extra gravitas of being the SC final. It's absolutely great that the club has got to this Challenge Cup final but, to be realistic, as an occasion grabbing the public imagination, this can't match not only the SC final but also the LC final, three SC semi finals and a replay and arguably also two LC semi finals. However, I do also believe that this final MAY have the potential to have influence disproportional to the occasion, in that if ICT manage to win it, that achievement could help to kick start the overall momentum of the club after a very difficult period since last May. Yes, I agree that winning the Scottish Cup did nothing to build momentum then, but things are starting from a rather lower level on this occasion.
  13. Thanks Tranmere33 we will need it! If we win on Saturday it might kick start our season.
  14. Well done, good luck Blair hope it all works out well for both you and the Club.
  15. Me and Jim Oliver from the Caley club have started to discuss things if you don't know Jim he's great guy I have met him at least once in Inverness I think if I remember correctly he was in charge of group in Inverness who supply Oil rigs with agency workers I can't remember the company name but either way that's all talks properly started and he asked me to pay them a visit to Inverness so when I get bit further with my house I will go to Inverness and meet them all.

Eh? We've been playing like we did in the first half pretty much all season and look where it's got us. Far too often we pass the ball about well enough but have absolutely zero creativity in the final third and don't finish the few chances we create when they come our way. That's not how a team that will be "comfortably safe" performs.

We were the same vs Crusaders, first half excellent, three goals and a complete second half collapse! It's although the opposition suss out the way we set up, change their system and Robbo hasn't a clue how to alter his.
  18. Quite right Scarlet. There are unfortunately a few posters who take great pleasure from insulting new contributors to these forums. Live and let live, I say!
  19. While not a direct answer to your question Charles, I do think we need to start rearing more of our own players and give them a chance. This is something we have never truly done, maybe the players haven't been good enough although I personally think not all of them got the chances they deserved. Rearing our own players and then, hopefully selling them on for a profit, has to be part of the way forward for us.
  20. And maybe the match will be a cracker, to go with the crowdie.
  21. Now that CMIB has raised the issue, I think I'd want to add that I'm getting a bit tired of it as well. If you're going to do it, just do it. When Blair first posted on this forum some months ago, I was mildly chastised by one or two fellow posters for what was a mildly abrasive initial response on my part. Their reaction wasn't wholly unreasonable, on the original premise that Blair was just a young lad making a point about the club...... as opposed to the Slavic, Putin-supporting Oligarch which he has now revealed himself to be. Hence I now feel slightly less inhibited. (So here's hoping that Poloium-210, tabun, sarin or dodgy umbrellas aren't among Blair's merchandise! )
