Truly shocked by the lack of reaction by fans on here and that it's deemed to be a minor issue. Shouting FTP or anything else religious, racial or sexually orientated are not acceptable in modern society. given the club issued a statement to all fans last year about how to act right now it has to act in accordance with that or will loose (more) fans and respect. If a fan will be banned then a player must be too or more. If as an adult you make decisions to drink and break the law or employer rules then you should be man enough to stand up and take the punishment.
  2. Absolutely all stalwarts with a long association with the club in a number of different areas. A good mix. and as for the dogged individual, yes indeed, like an old avatar of his, he is like a dog with a bone when his dander is up. He has served the club in a number of ways over the years and his stated aim at the start of this process was never to stay on the board forever, but to help in getting it back on a steady footing. He feels he has been able to help with that and knows he has stepped down with the stewardship in good hands. I dont think it was a particularly difficult decision for him, but yes it was honourable. Fair play to Don though, he has been on a personal journey that has seen him transform many areas of his life in the last few years and personally, I think he deserves a break from all the bullshit he has had to endure from multiple angles. He has been demonised on here a few times, and elsewhere, but despite all this he stuck to his guns. That is to be admired or respected not ridiculed whether you agree with him or not. His extremely direct style may not please everyone but one thing is for sure, you do know where you stand with him ... think I can safely say that after a multi-year partnership with him on here and our hosting business. I wish him nothing but success as he seeks new challenges.

Kingsmills, stick to the story. Why would you suggest that, are you accusing me of being a racist? My comment is based on the fickleness of the modern pc brigade. I'm not religious therefore the alleged swearing doesn't put me up or down. It's not the smartest thing that has been done, but because it has been videos and published somewhere some drunken 'humour has been deemed to be sectarian. There's worse being said at play school.

Shocking complanency. I can't agree with the OP that they should all be disciplined if the culprit can't be identified. However, what is complained of is not swearing but sectarian bigotry. While that is sadly still rife in large swathes of our Country it has no place at all at our club or in the Highlands at all. Would you have been so complacent had it been a racist comment shouted out ? It's not often they I find myself agreeing with Neil Lennon but sectarianism is just as bad. If the culprit can be identified then his contract should be terminated, whoever he is.
  5. Unforgivable that the squad has been allowed to be cut to the bone. Good idea to have quality over quantity but WTF is going on when we can only muster 13 first team players . No way for a full time club to be run, who allegedly have ambitions to return to the top tier.
  6. https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/news/3631391/inverness-caledonian-thistle-sectarian-players-coach-video-chant Send a strong message and sack them all if the guilty party won't own up. Be doing the club a favour by breaching their contracts with this behaviour and use it as a reason to clear the dross. Shameful and embarrassing. Truely is a new low we're hitting these days.
  7. While, as I've indicated, I agree with you this the actions of the individual concerned is wholly unacceptable and indeed disgraceful, punishing everybody for the actions of one is ridiculously unfair and disproportionate.
  8. To keep it simple for just you - Yes. Sack them all. Its a tongue in cheek comment - sorry it went over your head. Its making the point the club has to be seen that it will take action and act seriously - we cant let players or fans think this is tolerated at ICT or any other place in Scotland
  9. Which is why the offending post has been removed.
  10. Where did I accuse or even imply you of being racist ? I was clear that I equate religious bigotry with racism. I opined that, should one of our players, be established to have shouted a sectarian expression, he should be dealt with severely. As far as you are concerned, I was and remain of the view, that your attitude to the matter is complacent and too dismissive. I have no problem with drunk men swearing, I do so myself, I do have a problem with offensive sectarian language. We may play in predominantly blue but I have no wish for us adopt the standards of another team that has similar colours.
  11. Maybe if we played two strikers out of 3 who all have good scoring ratio at the club up top together we may have a good chance of goals it’s quite simple other teams play two up have a look at Ayr two up every game Ive advocated 352 but would go with 442 also but it would mean Robbo having to choose who to leave out of team betweeen Doran Polworth Welsh and Chalmers and for some reason he wants to play them all but leave players on the bench who would actually get him goals Most blame the strikers but in fact we have 3 decent strikers but the managers continual 4231 formation is not working and we we need to change it if we want to start winning games
  12. With a player jailed and austin guilty of doing over 100mph on A9 and fighting in our own dugout and other things rumoured you have to wonder where the discipline has gone at the club. We can't blame that on a lack of money.
  13. The winners of our raffle which was drawn in the Sports Bar on Saturday were: S Clark, G Elder, Munchy, Mr Langton, Misty, L Rodgers, R Brown, P McNeill, N MacLeod. congratulations to all the winners and many thanks to our benefactors for donations such brilliant prizes. keep your eyes peeled in the Spring for your chance to win some exciting prizes
  14. I have had the odd wager and find it occasional fun. However, I am also acutely aware that it has ruined the lives of many including our longest serving manager who was brave in going public on the issue.
  15. Happy days £10 every week on draw loaded in no time
  16. That was awful today. Everybody keeps complaining about dropping attendances and blaming supporters for not getting behind the team. The bottom line is that there is very little to get excited about. I am an ICT supporter and want to go along to a match to get entertained. Although I love to come away from a match having won a game I would be 'almost' as happy coming away having got beat if I felt that all the players were giving 100% and the game was entertaining. Until there is more entertainment on show I feel we will continue to haemorrhage supporters. Sometimes I think that the players forget that they are there to entertain the fans. Everyone makes mistakes. That includes professional footballers. Perhaps fans would have more sympathy with certain players making mistakes if those players got back into position asap and tried to make amends. Polworth is a classic example of this. On his day he is one of the most talented players in the squad. However he continually makes mistakes, blames others then doesn't put in much effort to get back into position. He acts like a petulant child and his outburst at fans today after he messed up a cross ball, to my mind, should not be tolerated. Yes fans get onto him but these fans are just venting their frustration about the poor show being put on from a player that is a lot more talented than he shows. I'm not talking about personal abuse that was dished out a few months ago. That was totally out of order and is unacceptable. Fans are paying customers and should be free to express their discontent (although not through a personal attack) if they do not feel what they are seeing comes up to their expectations. People would not be happy with a substandard meal they are paying for, should it be any different on the football pitch. Although the above is largely negative I do not feel it's too late. If the players raise their game the fans will get behind them. This is evident when there is a sustained period of pressure on the opposition goal. In order to get to the play-offs we need the players to raise their games, take the game to the opponents and then the fans will follow suit. Players upped their game against County. Lets do it against every team.
  17. for those making a distinction between "old board" and new board, just remember that we did not replace the board en-masse ... it was more of a rolling change over a number of years and some of the new board could also be considered as being part of the old board ! its not as simple as its being made out to be. Did the 'old' board make mistakes ? yes, they did. Has the new board? yes to that also. In fact, every board has likely made a ton of mistakes (considering we almost went to the wall twice). The one thing they all have in common I think is that they all thought they were doing what was best for ICT at the time. The board led by KC was trying to keep us in the premiership and was operating on a higher level in terms of revenues and costs and it appears that some silly contracts (for us) may have been handed out, but those contracts might have been sustainable in the premiership if we had remained ! The board led by GR is a board in the championship and although off to a rocky start - in my opinion - have started to pull some things round. They have come in for flak from several corners, including me, but more recently there have been a few things where they have been worthy of praise. The main aim is to cut our cloth to suit our pocketbook and we have done that before. Its maybe harder this time since we are used to premiership players and performances. If the aim is to steady the ship and build from there to get us back to the premiership then I am 100% behind them. If it is to be happy with our lot as a championship side then I am not.

So you are seriously suggesting the whole squad be dismissed ( including the innocent) because someone offended the Pope (Inquisition at it's finest)???
