Aye Robbo well lauded young Angus Beith, Born a Jam Tart with no allegiance to Leith But injuries and infections to his poor wee thigh Has made many a CTO poster pull their hair out and sigh But his three year contract is far from done So we are bound to see him by 2021

  3. I think some fans need to appreciate that we have never had large amounts of money to play with. While in the Premiership, this was masked by sponsorship/TV deals etc and larger away supports. Our core support has never grown to any great extent despite years of trying with an apathetic Inverness public. It is also hugely difficult to get players up here from the central belt for various reasons and we don't have a sugar daddy to stump up money like County or Dundee Utd. Until we can square this circle, we will continue to struggle for money.
  4. What does his doppelgänger look like then? I wouldn’t know Angus Beith if I met him in my soup ?
  5. Who in their right mind is going to be hanging around TCS 3 hours before kick off?!
  6. Meekings has struggled badly with injury as well when he was with us and also at Dundee as well.
  7. Saw Beith in the barbers before Christmas, so I can confirm he is real.
  8. Just been watching our Scottish Cup run on DVD. I really want to cry for where we are now. Our board never took the opportunities to promote our club, and get investors in after that. We are just about back to 1974.

The longterm plan should be to give up on chasing promotion for both club and fans and spend the next year or two slowly reducing the number of 'journeymen' jobbers at the club and bring through more youth. If it all clicks and we make play-offs then great, but focus on Championship consolidation, more attractive football and a team that shows signs of excitement coming back. From that core of younger players it will hopefully reduce the wage bill and allow for the introduction of select quality additions rather than quantity to supplement and strengthen to aim towards getting premiership status back. If Dunfermline, Falkirk, Morton and even DUtd cant just steamroller this league and get out then we cant expect to either - some have been here years. Even the likes of PT have shown that its a hard league and not to be underestimated. Next season needs to be about realism and that needs to start from the board level right the way through.
  10. Don’t get to many home games these days, but the text updates from caley100 are usually depressing enough and reflect the general mood on here. Didn’t realise amid all the doom and gloom that we’ve only won once at home this season yet 4 away, which really should have been 5 last week. So the away form is pretty much title challenger stuff. I couldn’t help comparing yesterday’s result with the win at Firhill. Walsh scored in practically the exact same minute, and after that the players were throwing their bodies in front of everything to get the 3 points, including a penalty save. Seems like the TCS, or the lack of atmosphere, or the moaning, just sucks the life out of the players.
