  1. Allardice signs a contract extension.
  2. Seeing as we have no game today, here's our finest ever match report penned by Alternative Maryhill. It's a must read if you have nothing else to do. In fact it's a must read even if you have something else to do. Cast your mind back to the hazy days of the Alamo, February 2011..... Any likeness to living characters are purely coincidental.
  3. We have played the lowest number of games in the league and with the recent challenges with getting matches on will have affected morale and cohesion, throw into that the ongoing Covid situation for players who have to disrupted family lives there will be factors at play. Criticism is the managers prerogative and given his comments in the media recently its fair to assume he considers how public criticisms will be received by the team. Overall its a very tight league and if we can pick up some wins and momentum to get game parity with those around us, there is every chance we will be around the play-offs. Its worth remembering we probably have a budget that's 4th or 5th biggest in the league and right now that's aligned to where we are punching towards ending up. (not maybe where fans or even the club want to be though)
  4. That’s excellent news.
  5. Is it a possibility that he just cant get the best out of the players he's got.
  6. F**k me that defence! Proctor, Hogg, Innes and Duff...
  7. Queens of the ice age frozen off. ***POSTPONED*** Another rearranged game due to go ahead on Saturday afternoon with Queen of the South the visitors. Should snow, ice, covid or road blockages not stop this one, it is scheduled to kick-off at 3:00pm with live streaming available from Caley Jags TV - Pixie Lott for a £10er. However, let's not get ahead of ourselves as the words that we all dread have been uttered by the club. "There will be a pitch inspection at 9am tomorrow morning ahead of the match against Queen of the South". Now there's a surprise! It could be an opportunity for us to bounce back after a disappointing draw against the ten men of Morton. Easier said than done given our lack of game time over the last month. Last 10 Competitive Meetings against Queen of the South back to Jan 13th 2018 3 - 0 (A) 3 - 1 (H) 2 - 0 (A) 2 - 0 (H) 2 - 0 (A) 1 - 2 (H) 3 - 3 (A) 0 - 0 (H) 2 - 0 (A) 3 - 1 (H) At Cappielow we were without Brad Mckay and more importantly striker Miles Storey. With Kai Kennedy off to Raith Rovers, we were bereft of the guile needed to prize open a stubborn defence, and when we did, a lack of composure ensured we would not run away with the game despite the Ton being a man short for over half of the match. All this has not best pleased Robbo who has let them know in no uncertain terms that it's simply not good enough to just turn up and claim the points. You tell them John... Queens are on a bit of a roll since we last played them on December 4th. They took a thrashing at Tynecastle the week after (6-1) then lost to Morton and Dundee. However, since then they beat Raith Rovers 0-2 on 29th December, they have been on the up. Victories over Ayr United, Queens Park and Morton along with a draw against Arbroath have lifted them above Inverness in the table although we do have three games in hand. In fact we have games in hand over everyone, but that does not equate to points in the bag; think Morton in midweek. Connor Shields is the man on form just now and Queens now seem to have enough talent on board to ease away from the relegation area. Shields has nine goals this season, and more worrying for us seven in the last six games since Xmas. Team news not forthcoming but Robbo hinted at some changes after the slackness at Cappielow. I'll keep it short as there is no guarantee the game will go ahead, so look out early morning for any news from ICT FC.
  8. I’m a season ticket holder but would be happy to join the initiative if it helps. PPV is £10, so a slight increase on that if it gives virtual access to players through the Man of the Match award etc seems sensible. In terms of tokens to watch the game, season ticket holders already have access, so perhaps their tokens could be donated by the club to encourage young fans in some way.
  9. Great initiative. My boy was an in-person mascot in 2017 and loved it. It inspired him to get more into football and between that and his friend Kyle doing well in the ICT youth setup, he registered with Toronto FC juniors to try and emulate that feeling .... its all gone a bit t*ts up for now with COVID, but he's keen to get back to training once things resume ... and it will all have started at the Caledonian Stadium 🙂 I also wonder if there would be enough interest in doing a group match sponsorship like we did for the player sponsorship. You get 10 viewing passes so it would be £48 per head (inc VAT), but maybe a bit less if some season book holders who were already entitled to view the stream were to join in ... The comments to this thread would likely indicate if this was viable or not 🙂
  10. "Inverness are struggling to break down the Alloa defence but let me tell what doesn't break down and that's the excellent range of coaches operated by D & E! Give them a call after today's ga....goal for Alloa."
  11. It's amazing just how often teams don't press home the numerical advantage. There's 2 aspects here. Firstly, the side reduced to 10 men know they have to up their effort and give 100% if they are going to get anything out of the game. Secondly, the team with the man advantage tend to ease up a little. It may be subconsciously, but it's there. What is needed is a conscious effort not to ease off and perhaps to make even more effort. It is important to constantly close down the opponents and not let them find space. Doing that allows the extra man to tell. This is exactly the reason so many big teams get the scares of their lives in cup competitions. The little teams give everything they've got but the big teams think they just need to turn up. It sounds as Robbo gave the appropriate message at half time but that it was not taken on board. Hopefully the players will now have a better understanding of what is expected of them in these situations. The thing is though, that the team have shown type of determination needed before and been praised for it. Hopefully we'll see better in the weeks to come. We'll need to, or we'll find ourselves in the wrong play-offs.
  12. I get that robbo is annoyed but I think he misses the point! The players have, and not just this season stopped playing for him. They can clearly see his coaching style and kellacher and Wilsons coaching style is ****, and they aren't accepting it any more. Right or wrong I'd say this is why we are where we are, and any bigger club would see that and sack the manager but we won't because we can't afford to so we'll keep rumbling on with the same **** and get worse and worse year on year until we finally end up in league 1 and then dissolve. It needs change now but change costs money I get that
  13. Fair to say playoffs are a pipe dream at this stage...That said, it looks like we'll be qualifying for the playoffs at the other end of the table instead...
  14. From what I've been told, Robbo gave them a bit of a blasting at half time after which they seemed to have lost confidence and started the long ball nonsense. Also told that he and Todorov had a bit of a verbal collision which if true, needs sorted quickly.
  15. Come on. As @Gregor would tell you, these are impressive stats. He’s a top striker.
