  1. I say, excellent idea. Welsh selling half time draw tickets prd match. Ridgers in the tea hut serving me my pie and bovril. Broadfoot in the portacabin toilets handing out paper towels and offering some aftershave (Old Spice) for £1 a splash. Can't wait!!

  2. You sending that same comment to Dick Campbell too so he's not resting his key men in his dead rubber game too!!!

  3. We are getting confident. As our performances for months have been hit and miss would it not be better to achieve some consistency and get a chance to start off with the makings of the first choice selection and system ?? I bet there are not many players asking to be rested??

  4. I agree although some of us can easy buy tickets others at this time can not afford to spend money on things other than food and power and as you say there are so many appeals. At least a reminder got another couple of tickets sold and might get a few more

  5. I agree. We need at this stage to be doing what is best for our club and it's prospects of promotion. Our only obligation is to field a team and fulfill the fixture.

  6. Some pretty good goals to choose from! We should shoot from outside the box more often! McAlear against Dunfermline was my pick.

  7. Thanks for the reminder. I'd forgotten all about it! I've now purchased a couple of tickets but somewhat shocked to see that only 100 tickets have been sold so far. One only has to see the heartbreaking images on TV everyday to understand what a worthy cause this is and what a great gesture it is from Paul to offer up his medal to support this cause. It closes on Saturday so, buy your tickets NOW before it is too late.

  8. Catching up after a few days in the doldrums, interesting thread. Brings to mind a couple of comments made in the Killie/Arbroath commentary - the last losses for both teams were at the hands of ICT. Just shows what a huge opportunity we've squandered this season with such a mixed bag of results - and begs the question, who is ultimately at fault? Was it down to a small core of players not pulling their weight or simply not up to the task, or was it the management team failing to get the tactics or motivation right to get the best out of everyone? I can appreciate the arguments on both sides. I'm not able to offer an opinion as I have seen precious little of the games this season, just had to rely on the updates and reports from you guys. It's an enigma right enough, flashes of brilliance which showed the ability and quality was there, but equally spells of utter dross that would have had us struggling against Clach! Can only hope that the problems that were obviously there in the 3rd quarter of the season are now behind us and we can hit the play-offs running on a high. Great that we can have a forum to debate these moot points in a friendly demonstration of mutual respect for each others opinions

  9. I'm thinking a line up of Mackay Nicholson Duffy Devine Harper MacGregor Hyde McAlear Walsh Samuels Riddle We have to protect Deas with his yellow cards and Broadhurst coz of his age, so Devine gets to manage the backline. Mckay, Sutherland and Chalmers are our best attacking assets. Welsh has a crucial role to play and has yet to be severely crocked this season, lets avoid that. Doran obvs no chance, was he taken off as a precaution Saturday because he will be useful if we can get some minutes out of him maybe if we get past Partick Not sure if Nicholson is a RB, but would be nice to have the option as Carson is better for us in midfield, and Duffy definitely better at CB Harper MacGregor and Walsh will all benefit from game time We could start Joe Hardy up front, but I'm not sure he adds much

  12. Morton are a bottom half side. Im glad we didn’t manage to sell MacGregor before he scored the winner today though. I’m looking forward to your reaction on Friday night

  13. It's not a totally dead rubber. If we beat Hamilton and Morton win at Arbroath, then Morton will overtake Hamilton. We therefore have a responsibility to field a competitive side. We shouldn't be risking players carrying knocks though, but any players coning into the side should be told they are playing for a place in the side. We should be looking to win this.
