  1. Have to admit, when I read the title, I thought it was about me also and wondered what I had done overnight while sleeping... been around longer than Mr Gardiner too, especially on this site. Then you seem to be getting all high and mighty when someone calls you out on it which is a little out of order IMHO. I will let you decide to change the title or not, but personally, I dont like it!

  2. As far as this site goes, Scotty only refers to one person, and it ain’t the CEO.

  3. It's clear that Billy Dudds has completely lost the dressing room because we have players that ARE capable of doing ten times better than they currently are!

  4. A welcome dropping in my opinion. He hasn’t deserved a place in the first 11 from what I’ve seen of him this season so far. I’ve always preferred when he has been used as an impact sub.

  5. Title changed to reflect reality and to remove any doubt as to the recipient of the topic.

  6. Maybe a bit against the traffic here but has Dodds been hung out to dry here? I'm not a fan but I blame those who thought it a good idea to give him a new deal. It's very obvious he's not being backed. A new coach would not have accepted that. As a club we are a shambles from top to bottom at moment and I can't see any change in direction of travel anytime soon sadly.

  7. If he had his dream job as Sporting Director of Hearts, do you think their fans would acquiesce to his continued employment by the club if he was commentating on Hibs games every time Hearts were playing away? Enough is enough. Time for the broom of change to sweep through the club.

  9. When I’ve had to be in Main Stand, not through choice, the worst part of the game is being able to hear Dodds very strange way of encouraging his team - ie swearing, castigating, demeaning remarks, all within earshot of fans, team mates etc. Not professional and not acceptable in public, no wonder the team don’t seem to be performing to their potential so far, since the Cup Final. Desperate days indeed. Dodds leadership my ..... Does that mean Samuels is now on “naughty step” for a few games, like previous players (no names mentioned but more than one, since Dodds in charge).

  10. Ignore me sorry I'm getting mixed up with NAPs and this one I thought it was the same thing

  11. He certainly looked unimpressed with whatever Dodds said to him. If it was a verbal kicking, that should be saved for the dressing room. Not in full view of the supporters.

  13. Notwithstanding our concerns with the CEO, Sporting Director, Manager and coaches, I’ve been considering how we could turn things round on the park if there was the appetite to change our approach. We have some decent players at Championship level but are not getting the best out of them. Despite our defensive frailties which have cost us in several games already, we’ve stuck with four at the back despite wanting our full backs to get forward. That’s leaving us short of numbers at the back whenever we (frequently) lose possession. Davidson and Harper are both capable going forward, so to tighten things up I suggest we go 3 5 2 with two wing backs in the 5. We’d need Duffy or Ram back to be able to do it, and it also gives us the added benefit of 3 in central midfield where we have been getting outnumbered. The only downside I can see is how we fit Shaw in, given he’s been our best performer in several of the games but his pace with Mckay in the front 2 could work well. Looking at the line ups in today’s top flight matches, 5 teams have gone with 3 at the back, with only Celtic starting with 4. Any other thoughts?

  14. So our lowest league finish last season in 2 decades and longest losing streak since Brewster is going to be wiped out in most fan's minds by a win over Arbroath? Who knows what the season will bring and as I say BD aint going anywhere any time soon regardless. However BD isn't the only issue and I would agree he's not solely to blame there are wider issues at the club and we are looking at a really concerning future if we (fans & club) don't take action. However I predict nobody will do anything and nothing will change. Club from board level down don't appear to see any issues at all and any raised to them are bushed aside. So I can only summise they know best and are happy with the way the club is running.

  15. We lost our best defender and didn’t replace him. It’s inevitable that the defence is weaker than it was last season. And a year before that, we lost Broadfoot and replaced with relative inexperience. Oh to have a commanding central defender and leader on the pitch, in the vein of Mann or Dods.

  16. Fair point yngwie, however experience tells me that once there is a void or gap, someone always looks to the opportunities in that void. Could that be worse than the current lot? Hard to say; they have been anything other than a retrograde step during their reign! I wish it would be the other way, believe me!!! At the end of the day I simply want my club to be a place I like and want to go to see my team play. I hadn’t done that for a handful of years now. bc

  18. Somewhat agree OCG; once over the line it’s the only the team that can deliver. Yes Dodds can’t escape he picks the team, style of play and subs, but it’s down then to them. I hope things improve soon or we are back in a poor campaign start to the season. bc

  19. I am in the ‘he’s got a two year contract, so let’s just get on with the season’ camp, however even my stubborn position looks fragile. Fans are like the wind though and can change on a single result. A good performance and result against Airdrie or Arbroath will swing most sensible fans round to sticking with our lead coach and manager. bc

  20. Erm, isn’t it the board that has been digging deep into their own pockets and preventing the club from going bust on several occasions over the last year or two? And you want rid of them?! Im pretty sure most of them would love to step back and are only there out of a sense of duty and love for the club. The time to ask them to go is the time when there is a better alternative waiting to step in. But there isn’t.

  22. I'm just putting a question here. If Dodds contract had run down at the end of the season, he would have just walked away with no severance pay, yes? So, giving him a two year contract gives him a big payoff if he gets the sack during that time, yes? Which could be the reason he got the contract, because it certainly wasn't because of his tactical brilliance, I've never seen a worse coach who can't see what is blindingly obvious and needs changing to most folk watching.

  23. Given that he was given a severe talking to in front of the home fans when substituted last Saturday does he have to apologise to our so called leader before he is allowed back in to the fold. There were similar rumours last season. Maybe he is injured and the higher archy have slipped up by not letting us know. They are usually so good at keeping us informed!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  24. Yep, Unless a hellofalot of fans partake it looks pathetic. Better to get as many fans outside the front of the main stand at the end of the game ( right in front of directors suite window) Last time there was a visible protest was during the demise of Brewster when some fans made up a 25 ft long banner saying 'Brewster out! ' and stood up at the A9, got lots of TV coverage. And Brewster didn't last long afterwards!

  26. Oh look, the mods are getting upset at criticism of the directors. I'm sure given all your powers you can change the title if you want but I'll reiterate given the nature of 2 other threads on this site its clearly about our CEO.

  27. I might be wrong here but surely the powers that be have clauses on Billy's contract? I would like to think that he has certain targets and criteria to meet or the board can sack him with no financial loss
